Nice hostel with bathtub, Japanese style room and view of countryside. Home mom and dad is very kind and friendly. It's a little far from train station but the host provides pick-up service.

If you want an authentic Japanese experience, stay here. Shizuo was so kind, generous, accommodating - the epitome of hospitality. The first night our train arrived close to midnight and he kindly picked us up from the train station; we felt so awful about the inconvenience, but he said it was no problem. The asked if we could take breakfast...

I had not expected that my stay in Rindou-no-Ie would be memorable even if so short. The owners especially Shizuo-san spoiled me with such accommodating service that went beyond expectations. Room: For the price I paid, the room was spacious, very clean, and smells fresh. The futon was clean and smells nice too. I love that they provide guests with...

The warm atmosphere of this place sets it apart from many of the other places we stayed in Japan. Our friendly host was only too happy to give us a lift to/from the station and a restaurant in the evening (though I regret not having dinner at Rindo-No-Le, if the beautiful breakfast was anything to go by, then dinner would...

If you want a feel of staying in a Japanese home, this is it. Shizuo san made every effort to make you feel welcome and comfortable and yet gave you enough space. He picked us from the station and sent us off too, at 6am! The room I stayed in was very spacious and clean. I would stay here again...

A lovely family run b&b, large rooms by Japanese standards (the triple was the largest we had in our stay in japan). Japanese bathroom is shared but there is a sign to hang outside to say occupied. The owner met us at the train station and took our luggage and then sent us in the direction of the shrines. He...

We stayed with Keiko and Shizuo while in Nikko. Wonderful couple. Shizuo drove us to restaurants and told us when the onsen was free for our use. Brilliant breakfast, quiet neighbourhood. Excellent minshuku experience.

I loved to stay at Rindou-no-ie. They have just few rooms in a simple japanese style house. It is situated in a residential neibourhood, about 20 minutes walking from the JR Station. I thought it was completely lovely that they offer to pick you up at the station and dropp you back there. My husband and I had a very...

Shizuo and Keiko treated us like family. If you are looking for a luxurious anonymous experience then you'll probably want to stay elsewhere. The accommodations at this Minshuku are very comfortable, we had a Japanese style room with futons on tatami that were firm, clean and comfy to cozy up in at night. Shizuo met us at the station, took...

This Ryokan was a great place to stay. The reason why, because the owners are very helpful and friendly. the room was a good example of a Japanese style room. The owner picked us up and dropped us off at the train station.
