The Shin Yokohama is a sculptured, urban-style building rising 42 floors above ground. The gentle, cylindrical shape gives it a futuristic appeal. Just 16 minutes from downtown Tokyo, the hotel is connected to the Shin Yokohama Shinkansen Station and the Shopping Plaza Prince Pepe, making it a convenient hub for both business and leisure activities. The area surrounding the hotel is in itself a large amusement complex featuring various sports facilities, including a skating rink, indoor tennis courts and bowling alleys. Also nearby are the landmarks of exotic Yokohama city, Chinatown, the hillside parks and the Yokohama Bay port.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

the location close to the Shin Yokohama train station and Shinkansen can not be beat. Frequented by airlines as well as fans for the local Yokohama arena events. there is a limited airport bus transport directly from the hotel to Haneda at least once an hour and if needed can walk 5 min to the trainstation depot. Haneda is less than 1 hour away. I paid about 90,000 yen for 4 nights.
the view from the rooms which are all part of the spiral towers are lovely for the higher floors. we stayed on the 31 st so had wide panaromic view and could see the bullet trains and tokyo tower. the rooms are simple and clean but small like many hotels in Japan. we did not go to the bar on the top floor due to drinks starting at 1200 yen for a beer, it would have been lovely.
the hotel is attached to a mall called Prince Pepe and you can pretty much get anything there including a 100 yen store. I personall;y liked the less chaos compared to the Don Quijote or the Shibuya area malls. Less people.

The inn itself has a nice view and is recommended. I used it alone with a large motorcycle, but there is no affiliated parking lot for two-wheelers. The adjacent Prince Pepe entrance introduced by the front desk is for 50cc or less. In reality, big scooters and other vehicles were forcibly parked there. There was a space under the Shinkansen overpass where about two large motorcycles could be parked, but it didn't seem like it was easy to get in and out of the road. As of November 2023, it was 200 yen per hour, which is difficult for overnight stays. About a 10-minute walk from the hotel, on the south side of the station, there was a bicycle parking lot with no engine displacement limit that could accommodate about 15 bicycles. Since I arrived late, I was able to park there without any problems (maximum 500 yen for 24 hours / transportation IC card only), but when I left in the morning, it was full, so if you check in early, there may be no vacancies. The space for one bicycle is also small. I hope this is helpful for bikers.

It is the closest hotel to the company, so if you expect bad weather or disaster, stay here. I've been using it for more than 10 years now, and lately I feel the quality has declined. Many of our employees, car commuters, park their cars in the adjacent Prince Pepe parking lot and get off at the second floor. Recently, I have seen several cases where other customers who stand at the control panel and don't notice anything get on the first floor only push their own second floor and are not approached. I once assumed that he would go down to the 1st floor because he didn’t realize it was an employee and the other floors were out of business, and there was a situation on the 2nd floor where the elevator went up again after that employee got off. A few days later, I saw him in uniform in the front lobby and felt unkind to the staff for his actions in my hotel, albeit after hours.
Recently, due to the increase in inbound demand, the number of foreign customers has increased, and the number of people who are smoking around the entrance has increased due to hardening around the lobby or eliminating the smoking area on the first floor. Plus, for a while now, the convenience store in the hotel has emptied the refrigerator in the room and even run out of welcome water. I thought the quality of the hotel was at least as good as that of a business hotel because it is so old that you might feel that the facilities are outdated, but since there are more and more cheap business hotels around, it may be time to choose that one, even if you are somewhat away from the company.

The location next to Shin-Yokohama Station is the best. It's convenient for transportation, and there are no problems with dining or shopping. It's also great that the shuttle bus to Haneda Airport stops there. The twin room was a little old-fashioned, but the view was great and it was comfortable. If I had to say one thing, it might be better if the refrigerator was a little bigger. The front desk staff was also very helpful. Breakfast is served buffet style in the restaurant on the second floor, which is great. They have a variety of Japanese, Western and Chinese side dishes, and they cook omelets (you can choose the toppings and sauce) and steaks right in front of you. They also have curry. You can eat a hearty meal or go for a healthier option, so I was very satisfied.

It is a huge hotel (about 38 floors), however it has like 6 lifts so you are never waiting for one. Its linked to a mall and many restaurants. Additionally it is 5 min walking from the Shin Yokohama train station and metro. Rooms where very cleen and service was very good.

Very decent hotel. I spent 12 nights in the hotel and because of excellent breakfast the staying did not come too long. Unfortunately I got smoking room, so I didn't want to spend too much time in the room. View is nice, even the Fuji was visible from the room window on clear days. I can recommend the hotel from my side, also location is excellent, it is really close to Shin-Yokohama station from where you can easily travel by train and subway.

Easy check in (although check in machines were roped off). Plenty of elevators. 19th floor double room had nice view of Fuji in the distance. Wi-fi worked well and TV has bilingual CNN channel. Room nice overall with a nice desk and chair beside window. Bathroom had some interesting design quirks! Like a flush button hidden under a metal flip lid. Check out was done by machine which were not roped off in the morning. Couple of minutes walk to the Shinkansen station. ¥12542 for double room.

I chose this Inn for its location. There's a shuttle to Haneda Airport outside the Inn. It is very convenient to spend a night arriving in Japan or before leaving. I chose a room with a view on a high floor. We had a wonderful view especially at night. The Pension is right next to Shin Yokohama Station. So very convenient to travel by train. There are many restaurants in the neighborhood. The Pension offers many choices for Breakfast. Pension is a little old. I found the Award a bit expensive for the service, which is less good than a Business Inn in Japan.

Hi, I believe you can take the Narita Airport Limousine Bus (Orange ones) to the Yokohama City Air Terminal (3,600-yen) which is at the Yokohama Station. It is about a 2-hour ride. Then you can either take a taxi or catch the subway for a 10-15 minute ride to Shin-Yokohama Station where the Shin Yokohama Prince Hotel is (approx 240-yen).
