Clean, great food, lovely views, rooms are very comfortable. Have been here many times and have never been disappointed. If u want the good food more the menu, order early as it often sells out early in the evening.

To be honest, I was kind of disappointed. There was nothing majorly wrong with the place, but the water smelled a lot of chlorine, kind of like Yunessun in Hakone. On a rainy Sunday afternoon in December, there was a huge line going in so it was quite busy inside as well. I enjoyed the “salt sauna” and the herbal... More

Manyo is one of my go to onsens in the Tokyo metro. While the experience is not that of a ryokan in the country side the convenience and size of it mean you can always pop in for a bit of relaxing. The highlights are of course the rotenburo in winter and the massage services available. I can't share the... More

We decided to give Manyo Spa a try after finding out that they have a private family bath that we can book per hour. You need to call and book in advance for the room, per hour is 3200 yen. however none at the counter speaks English. Best to ask a local friend or your hotel concierge to make a... More

They have really nice hot spring bath - it was so good to use it. So if you love Japanese hot spring bath, you will enjoy staying this hotel. We had the bath 3 times while we stayed (one night stay) - early morning one was just fantastic! The twin room was very small but the view from the room... More

Only used the spa area, it is very traditional and you must follow the police rules and etiquette. It is worth a visit if you are in the area. The roof area is nice on dusk. The hot spring is the better option. If you are unsure of anything, the staff are helpful.
