I'm a little late in writing this review but if Hakone Ginyu has maintained its standards from a few months back, I cannot recommend it highly enough. The moment we set foot in the lobby, we entered a serene, calm oasis after a tiring day of exploring Hakone. The lobby and common areas had some interesting Balinese themes but we...

This ryokan is top notch. We had spacious accommodation and excellent service. The chef accommodated my wife's diet restrictions and the staff were most careful to ensure that the meal she was served worked for her diet and tastes. Great views over the gorge. The lounge and bar area are beautiful. If you want to test the ryokan experience at...

Wow, from the moment you enter you are blown away by the amazing view and the friendly staff. The hotel has a public hot pool and a beautiful traditional vibe. Our room was stunning and large. We had a private onsen looking over the mountains, and a dining room for our breakfast and dinner. The food was amazing. I recommend...

We were mesmerized by the spectacular view on the lush mountains and its natural surrounding. We stayed in the Tsuki Room with private outdoor hot spring bath. The kaiseki (multi-course Japanese meal) dinner & breakfast was of good quality, scrumptious and nicely plated and served in the comfort of our room. We had a memorable stay and would recommend this...

Although it was a pity that we can"t see cherry blossom in Hakone, a warm and comforting ryokan make it all! We choosed a traditional Japanese room Tsuki in our stay, kids were so excited that they could enjoy the view and hot spring in our own room! No to mentioned the delicate and delicious dinner and breakfast which both...

This is the 2nd time I stayed in here. Their food has kept the standard. However, the service team need to pay more attention. The food request was not follow. The welcome was not as good as last time, making us wait for a bit. Also , they did not even prepare kids kimono until we asked. The room was...

Awesome hotel. We stayed in a room on the 3rd floor with its own private tub on the balcony. It was so nice we never left our room until check out. The 9 course dinner was excellent. The Japanese style breakfast was deluxe as well. The views from room where only of mountain side

Ginyu, situated at Miyanoshita above Hakone was a unique onsen experience. Not only was it away from the hustle bustle of Hakone downtown, the privacy and exclusiveness this mini modern ryokan offers was amazing. We were offered a hot ginger mixed drink upon check in in an exclusive area. We were impressed with the tranquility and the Zen feel of...

For those traveling to Tokyo or Kyoto, this is a well deserved stop for amazing relaxation. Once you arrive, the staff will take your shoes and you won't put them back on until your departure. The service was very good but this place is all about the hot springs and view, which are both amazing. The food is exotic but...

We staying in Tsuki style room to start our honeymoon. Everything has been amazing, the private onsen is such a lovely addition to the room and makes it even more beautiful. The staff has been great, minimal English speakers but the service is excellent and that does not interfere! If you want to get massage make sure to book early...
