Wow!!!! Absolutely exquisite. Facade is beautiful. Easy walk from beautiful Hakone Tozane Railway (amazing views) and bus stop across the street. Service friendly, helpful and even a few who speak passable English. Onsen bath nice, but free access to INCREDIBLE outdoor baths just a three minute walk down the hill (Hakone Kowakien Yunessun) just passed the absolutely beautiful Okada Museum of Art. Unfortunately, the Hakone Ropeway gondola and outdoor museum were closed due to a snow storm (which was pretty fun) and did not get to go see Mount Fuji because of the clouds. Two nights. Oh, and the food!!!!! Breakfast and dinner were included in my package. Amazing chef. Course after course! In room traditional Japanese massage was pretty awesome too for 8,000 yen for 60 minutes.

If you are visiting Japan for more than a few days you must have a Ryokan on your bucket list – here we were greeted with a traditional tes reception and departed with memorable gifts – our room was full on Japanese down to the futons and the miniature table and chairs – there was an open veranda with a private onsen (built for two hot spring pool) – great for early morning wakeup and relaxation before sleeping – the food was divine – the table spread with many dishes of delicious offerings – I can’t say enough here – the Ryokan was established 140 years ago and served travellers on the dusty road to Tokyo – there are still some of the original rooms preserved – a large public onsen (study the etiquette before taking a dip) and a sizable garden to wander around and work off the breakfast – we were there for four nights in an area full of places to go and see and I regret we did not use some of the time to just relax and enjoy the experience – as you can see we loved this place – if there was a six I would gladly give it.

We spent 2 nights there , the service and food was absolutely amazing! They have slippers at the door for you , you check your shoes. You have a special dress to wear for breakfast and dinner, it was awesome. We used the onsen private 2x , it was calming. The food was so many good things. A gift store . I also had a massage , one of the best ever- she came to our room . My husband and and I took a walk and on our way back it started pouring rain and the host was driving and recognized us stops and gives a ride back - so so wonderful. We can’t say enough about this wonderful place ! Go , rest and enjoy❤️

I wanted to relax in a classic ryokan. So that, like in the anime, you sit in the spring, look at the sunset and relax. The price is steep, but I decided not to miss this opportunity.

This one seems to be very old and I decided that everything would be very authentic.

It was somehow difficult for me to get there, but as it turned out, it was worth taking the bus along line Z, which Google Maps doesn’t know about.

The ryokan is truly classical in style, with super well-kept gardens all around, and the staff is incredibly polite.

The room is simply gigantic by Japanese standards! With a kimono, a huge bath, you can sleep on beds or mats. Everything is very cool.

For dinner, it turned out that it had to be booked in advance, but they found food for us. Usually in a ryokan dinner is served in your room, but here you have to go to the dining room. The presentation is beautiful, everything is elegant, but I didn’t have any special gastronomic discovery.

Warm springs are separate for men and women. It's just a medium-sized "jacuzzi" - one indoors, the other outdoors. Just a bath outside behind a fence! No view! The water is terribly hot. It is impossible to sit in it, at most you can plunge into it.

Breakfast is also elegant, but also mediocre in taste. Breakfast by appointment and... AT 7 AM!!!

WiFi is good.

Checkout at 11. They don't let you sleep.
