This hotel is situated about 10 minutes walk or for about ¥1000 you could catch a cab. Personally, we loved the leisurely walk in the friendliness and clean neighborhoods. The hotel is a flat walk and it’s probably a 1 1/2 km we drag their luggage behind us as we only had one small piece each. We were there just to do a little bit of sightseeing, but also to go to Disneyland. We did find out a few days inn that there is a shuttle from the hotel to Disneyland. This hotel is amazing for children, which we had no idea when we booked. We were greeted with two life-size dinosaurs to check us in. At first we thought they were people dressed up but no they were not. They were a chemical and they did understand it most of the time. At one point we did gets confused when checking in but somebody did quickly come out from the back to help us. We did choose the breakfast option, which was a large buffet restaurant that was attached to the hotel. I would definitely choose this option again. Our room was two twin beds, which is typical for Japanese hotels. It was quite tiny and it was a little bit noisy due to the traffic outside but that was OK. At the end of the day we were pretty tired and we just wanted to go to sleep. The only annoying thing was that there was a small little box with a motion detected character inside it. It was much like a Google home type thing. It would go off at any given time and start talking in Japanese. I did manage to figure out the instructions and switched over to English at one point, but this thing never ends. It’s also quite disturbing knowing that, somethings always listening to you in your room. It was cute, but it needed to just stop talking lol I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would definitely come back. The neighbourhoods surrounding it are gorgeous.

We were very happy to experience a "robot hotel" with our teens and we were very disappointed when we got to the Henn na hotel. We arrived early and it took us an hour to figure out that we had to dial 9 on a phone in another room by the reception to talk to a "human". As the hotel is supposed to be all automated, it was not possible to ask anything about the neighborhood or access to buses to the "robot-dinossaurs" who were by the front desk. The rooms were very small, we couldn't even have our suitcases open on the floor. Our teen-boys didn't think the robot automation was fun at all, maybe for very young kids, but absolutely not fun for adults or teens. And if you are not staying at the hotel to visit Tokyo Disneyland, the hotel is very far away from the sightseeing in Tokyo.

I stayed here for a few days with my classmates for a school trip. It was my first time staying in a hotel in Japan. The size of the room was too small, we had the room with 3 beds. However, it was a good experience because the breakfast was amazing! The room was very clean everyday too. I also liked how the shower and tub were separate. It was a nice Japanese way of bathing. I liked the dinosaur robots and Tapia dino egg that was in the room! It was fun playing rock paper scissors with it haha!

Men are standing hidden ,who come out and help, even your luggage you have to carry yourself to room, no trolley for that, don't have milk and sugar for tea, max two room cards provided to 4 occupants. Room robot is a small Alexa kind gadget which departs I can't understand your command on everything. Even Alexa and Google home are better than this.totally flopped unexpected.

We stayed here last month as a family of four. Two adults and two kids. We were staying in Tokyo but fancied something a bit closer to the Disney Parks and had seen the hotel on some YouTube videos and thought it was niche and interesting. I am glad we stayed; it was a bit of a novelty and a bit of fun but I wouldn’t have wanted to spend more than one night here. Check in was ok but there was a bit of an issue booking in with the passport which necessitated the dinosaur being replaced with a human towards the end of the booking in. It didn’t spoilt the experience; my kids enjoyed it but relying on a human to complete the check-in kind of defeated the object of choosing a dinosaur/robot hotel a little if that makes sense. The same can be said for the robot concierge which was, to put politely, a useless gimmick. The room was average but did the trick to rest our heads after a busy day at Disney before we headed back to central Tokyo the following the day. This trip was our third time in Tokyo and the previous two occasions we stayed at Hilton Tokyo Bay in Maihama which while close to the Disney parks meant a daily ride on the Keiyo line to get anywhere more central. This time we stayed centrally and ventured to Maihama for Disney. If you’re staying in Maihama for a day or two, Henn-an hotel would be fine. For any greater duration, we would advise you either choosing a more central location or a better hotel like the aforementioned.

This is a neat gimmicky hotel, just bear in mind that there may be issues. We had problems checking in but a staff member was very quick to step in and correct the situation. Same with instructions to the "egg" in the room -- simple commands like turn on the TV were mixed up. Other than that the hotel is clean, neat and has friendly staff. Our room was a fairly good sized room compared to others we had stayed in on our trip. You are approximately 25 minutes walking distance from Tokyo Disneyland so the stay here was worthwhile. Breakfast is available for a cost.

Our first night in Tokyo we were told that we had to stay a night at the dinosaur robot hotel. We arrived and the front entrance looks great, there is a segment of animated T-Rex heads and there are raptor hosts at reception. So it's nice to take a picture but that's pretty much the only good thing we got out of this hotel. The reception robots did not work well and a member of staff had to come and sort it out for us. When we got to the room (we request 4 singles in a room) there was no room to walk in, it was so crowded that you had to walk on the beds to get across the room. The alexia-Google home type robot they have in your room doesn't really work either so we unplugged it. Also the hotel is out of the way from the centre of Tokyo that travel was just depressing, the bus comes every 20mins and we just were not impressed. We got a taxi but that costs ¥¥¥ However, showers were alright. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay the night but you can get a few nice pictures of the reception if you do.

Japan is so Fascinated with their Robotics but can see it has its limitations. Checking in did not go smoothly and a staff had to come out to assist. The little robot in the room could not understand most of our instructions. Artificial Intellingence technology was lacking. Overall clean liveable hotel. Just dont expect too much out of the robot gimmick.
