It’s not a good time for writing reviews considering everything that’s happening in my life right now but I think that people’s effort to provide excellent services during these times, which are difficult for everyone, should be appreciated, hence this review. I always had a good experience with Nikko hotels. Two years ago I wrote a review for the Nikko hotel in Fukuoka. I also had a 3 years membership card in the Palau Royal Resort by Nikko hotels, a hotel right on the ocean in Palau, which I highly recommend. My wife and I had to stay in several airport hotels for quarantine since the pandemic started because we travel a lot. This year in May we booked a room in Nikko Narita although Izumi, my wife, is a Hilton Goldmember and prefers to stay in Hilton. However, we always take decisions together and I wished to try Nikko Narita due to the good experiences we had with other Nikko hotels in the past. The first positive surprise in Nikko Narita was that our room was upgraded. We had a spectacular view from our window and a spacious, clean room, as can be seen in the pictures I uploaded. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful and almost everyone spoke English very well, so I didn’t need to bother my wife with translations. The hotel’s facilities are great and the service stunning. Breakfast was fantastic. Throughout the day I could eat large quantities of big, sweet strawberries, which were one of the hotel’s main attractions. I didn’t feel like I’m staying in an airport hotel and I also didn’t feel I’m in quarantine. The phonic insulation of our room was so good that the sound of airplanes could be hardly heard. I don’t remember if windows could be opened but I never tried to open them considering the proximity to the airport. It was nice to see airplanes taking off and landing through the soundproof window. Wi-Fi had a good speed for surfing and I could even stream some Romanian TV channels and Fox News from USA. Lawson is open 24 hours within the hotel and it’s a good place to visit if one gets hungry during nighttime. I bought some good salmon sashimi from there and rice balls with red caviar but I didn’t go many times because…who would eat from Lawson when staying in Nikko? The restaurant has a nice view to an interior garden that is very well maintained as can be seen in my photos. I have videos showing the exquisite atmosphere in this hotel but TripAdvisor allows only picture uploads. Some of my uploaded pictures are video-screenshots because I took more videos than pictures. The food in this hotel was very tasty during my stay and I saw people coming from far away to eat in the hotel’s restaurant in weekends. The hotel has a Chinese restaurant too, a cafeteria, a library and a business center with a nice view, which can be seen in my photos. I highly recommend this hotel and I will certainly return to stay sometime.

This place is uncomfortable unwelcoming insincere and overall a very bad experience. Outdated and laughably trying to look upscale they have a bourgeois elitist attitude. Seriously avoid this place at all cost. The only actual nice staff we've run into works at the Lawson or cleans our rooms. The food is awful, avoid the restaurant no matter how hungry you might be. The atmosphere is very negative. For the price you can do much better.

I come to Japan four times a year. I’ve just completed one week of my two week quarantine here, and I hate to say it, but this is one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced in the country. The wifi is so weak and slow, even with the additional router that they lent me, that I am having trouble doing my work. There are no decent food options, except expensive buffets, and living off of convenience store food for two weeks is borderline torture. But the worst part is the room cleanliness. The room is cleaned regularly but it requires a deep clean. My room is so dusty and stuffy that I wake up with puffy eyes every morning and have difficulty breathing. When I leave the windows open, hundreds of insects enter the room. I’ve chosen to be eaten by mosquitoes rather than develop asthma.

This hotel does everything very efficiently and every single staff member we encountered went above and beyond. We got the shuttle bus from the airport it arrived and departed right on time. We were in our room 20 mins after getting on the bus! The check in staff were friendly and helpful, we appreciated the little gift of strawberries! The porter took our luggage all the way to our room which was very helpful. We were checking out the very next morning and so did not use any of the facilities other than the coffee shop in the morning for coffee and toast which was very nice and the gentleman who served us was so friendly and cheerful. The stay at this hotel really topped of our amazing first trip to Japan. We really hope to visit both the country and hotel again once the world opens back up. Arigato

Very practical and modern hotel which caters for the airport transit market very well. Good choices to eat from, rooms very clean and quiet and the hotel transit runs from 430 am to the terminals. Staff are very polite and it all goes without a hitch, just what airport hotels are supposed to be for!
