Detailed Reviews
Location was great, only 5 minutes from JR otaru station and right next to a market. The seafood restaurant right beside the side entrance of the hotel is amazing! Must try for those staying here. It's also walkable to the otaru canal area, about 15mins. It's a little far to places like the Music Box Museum but still walking distance of about 25minutes.
The room was small and slightly musty, and the front desk wasn't very friendly. It makes for a decent night stay especially for the location.

Cheap hotel in Otaru. Okay for just spending 1 night. The staff was not as attentive as I had hoped. They seemed confused when we first tried to check in. At the beginning they couldn't find our reservation, but after about 5 minutes they found it.
The rooms were pretty old. Everything worked fine, but there were a lot of scratches and damage to furniture and the walls. The bed was pretty hard and uncomfortable.
The water was extremely difficult to adjust. The hot water knob was very hard to turn, but the cold water one turned very easily. The temperature fluctuated a lot. Shower time was at about 9:00 PM.
The location is good. It's right near the station and restaurants.
A little more run and and uncomfortable than I was expecting, but not bad for just 1 night.
