This hotel is little remote from hakodate downtown. It takes 20 minutes by bus, and 30~35 minutes+half kilometer walk by tram. The hotel is tall and big compared to other nearby hotel, so you won't miss it. Even hotel lobby is spascious, too. There are couple of tables, convenience store, souvenir shop, icecream stall. Staffs were very kind and professional...

Great traditional Ryokan a bit far from downtown. This was my 2nd stay here, and the same lovely Mamasan served us. Rooms spacious and traditional. Great Onsen with in and outdoor pool. The highlight here is the excellent food, which is served to the room. A great place if traditional Japanese hospitality wants to be experienced.

It locates near by seaside and a little far from the downtown, but there is convenient store(7-11) very closed to the hotel. (And it support free Wi-Fi and tax refund.) Both of lobby and room support free Wi-Fi. The bathroom is small, so I suggest to have the shower in the 風呂. You could also enjoy it. I had the...

Stayed one night as part of my tour - room is adequate for 3 person, tatami style. Cleanliness is acceptable but furnishing is a little dated. Toilet is a little small and old. Tv in room is small and only has local channels. Dinner in hotel is buffet style. The variety is not too bad and food quality is acceptable....

Wanted a ryokan stay at the famous Yokonowa Hotspring, Hakodate. Not understanding the Japanese language and reviews, we settled on this large hotel based on the convenient location and some what awesome ratings and reviews. Getting there was easy enough except a small mixed up due to a similar named Hotel directly across the road. Take no 6/96 bus from...

This hotel serve you the free wifi. The room is the Japanese style so you'll be experienced the sleeping on Tatami floor. Onsen is on the 12th floor. If you want to buy something, when you go out and turn left, walk around 200 meters, you'll see the Lawson shop. But if you go out and turn right walk around...

Compared to some other Japanese-style hotel, the Heiseikan Kaiyotei is a slightly older hotel. But, you can expect the same level of service and cleanliness. As my family and I were traveling in a group tour, we were given a smoking room. As it was winter, we could not open the window for too long to try to clear the...

This is a Japanese onsen hotel. It may seem a bit redundant to add 'Japanese' here but that is very much what it is: an onsen hotel catering to Japanese (tour group) tourists. It is a huge hotel with an enormous lobby and a number of sizeable restaurants which do buffets for which most of the guests have paid in...

A good Japanese themed hotel, mostly locals visit. Staff/Reception The staff were friendly Room We stayed in a tatami room, it was clean, spacious too. During the day, the low table is put in the middle with hot water, tea and cookie for each of us. When you go out to have your dinner, the staff will come in and...
