We stayed recently for a night. All booking arrangements were handled efficiently by the owner Ritsuko Makamura. The ryokan which has 8 rooms is located in the historic quarter on a canal. Our room was traditional and beautifully furnished. All staff provided excellent, friendly service....More

Agree with all the previous good reviews re service , food etc. This is a pricey place to stay in Kurashiki , but you have the privilege to have the whole canal to yourself in the early morning and late afternoon when all the day-trippers...More
