The most comfortable and pillows!!! After our early morning and ton of walking, the beds here were heavenly. The staff amazing. The marble bathtub was huge. I read some negative comments about how dated the rooms were but we clearly had a renovated one. The Ivy and the Dormy Inn, both with public baths, were my top choices for Kurashiki but fully booked. So this was the only option available for the tour package I booked. The Japanese breakfast the next morning was also amazing. Did not expect to like it as much as I did. Prices can run much higher than the deal we got. But we felt lucky to stay here.
We had a corner room which was enormous! The bathroom was also very big. However, the room looked as if it had not been updated since the eighties. Out of the eight hotels we have stayed in on this trip to Japan the breakfast was one of the worst. However, the rooms are quiet and the hotel is right next to the historic district and fairly close to the station l
During midnight, bath water is not hot and internet is slow. The facility is so so coz here was Hotel Nikko as JAL group hotel, but internally, water supply, internet is so bad even higher price. 価格の割には、対したことありません。プライドが高いだけか、隣のドミーインが良いかと思います。 インターネット、夜、お風呂のお湯が暖かくありません。
The hotel is located a very short walking distance from the Ohara Art Museum and historic part of town, it's clean and well-maintained, the staff are friendly and efficient, the room was quiet and large, the mattress (firm) was ideal for sleeping, the breakfast buffet was nice, all told a wonderful place to stay. The only thing I didn't like was having a metal key on a chain, but given all the positives about the hotel that did not distract in any way. We'll stay there again next visit to Kurashiki.
We had a large (unusual for Japan) bright room and nice bathroom in this comfortable hotel. The location is in a characterless neighborhood next to two other large hotels, and there are many tour buses around. However, we found the hotel quiet and service was very good. The best part is the closeness to the lovely Historic District where most tourists will want to spend their time. Just behind the hotel is the Ohashi House, former home of a wealthy merchant, that is well worth a visit. It is nice to be able to walk to the hotel from the train station. A French restaurant in the hotel has wonderful food, but service was slow on the evening we dined there.
