This hotel is very convenient for both the bus and train stations. It is clean and comfortable apart from the pillow, which was absolutely dreadful. I had a single room and this provided sufficient space for one night. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I stayed at Hotel Morschein for one night enroute between Tsumago and Tokyo. This is a solid budget/mid-range hotel option in lovely and underrated Matsumoto. The hotel is minutes from the central train and bus stations, and a 10 minute walk from the wonderful Matsumoto Castle, making it a great option if you are using it as a stopover, or... More

A typical station hotel - close to the station, no-frills, yet clean and comfortable. The rooms are small but Western-style. The area is full of restaurants of every type. It is within easy walking distance of the castle and the Nakamachi historic shopping street.

The Mor-Schein is a no-frills hotel less than 5 minutes walk from the JR station. Our room with Western style bed was adequate in size, larger than in hotels of a similar class in a big city. The room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. It was cold while we were there so we utilized the... More

We booked 2 rooms for our family. Rooms are western style, basic old hotel rooms. No adjoining rooms, so wouldn't suit families with young children. Even piped music in hallways! Rooms were quite large, clean and comfortable, fine for our one night study. Great location close to train station, and walking distance to castle. Not a fancy hotel by any... More

Hotel Mor-schein is a short walk from the JR Matsumoto train station and bus terminal. The room is decent in size, quiet, clean, with A/C and WiFi. The building is short compared to the others so I looked at the street view on Google Maps. Lawson, CanDo 100 Yen Shop and several Daiso in the Matsumoto area.

We stayed here for 2 nights and found it to be a decent hotel, the room was very clean and laid out in the usual Japanese style for a double room. The bed was good and quite comfortable and the staff very helpful. We asked for 4 bikes the next day, at 10am they were ready and we cycled around... More

Stayed in single room for 1 night. Standard Japanese business hotel. Rooms compact and clean, Wifi available. Hotel close to station. From Nohi bus terminal, walk to station then about a block further. Plenty of restaurant options just around the corner. French café at station good option for breakfast.

Located just steps from the JR station this newer hotel offered clean, western style room. In-room Wi-Fi and a Japanese channels on TV (for late night channels you can buy $10 TV card at the desk). Very friendly and accommodating staff with some spoken English. Free bike rentals very handy if you want to explore the city pedalling. Overall a... More

+ The Hotel is only few minutes walk from the railway station, the room has everything you need. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but knew only few words in english, so it was a bit complicated to receive information I needed. You need approx. 15 min to reach the castle of Matsumoto. On this way you can see... More
