The hotel was chosen as very close to the train station (was a few feet's flat walking from "timber Tori gate entrance). The hotel's been better days, but was still clean and very functional. Rooms had double bed (n' space), a desk n' ok bathroom.

Limited restaurant facilities (...may be winter quiet period ?) but good western brekkie. As stayed during the COVID-19 crisis, we got hand gloves to wear as well as usual sanitisers. Food selection great and small quantities on buffet replenished when required. Had a good coffee making machine (......with proper coffee etc).

The Garden Hotel is extremely convenient for the railway station - just a few metres walk across the road! The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have all the basic requirements.

Breakfast is good - a good selection, well and efficiently run and good "ingredients".

We stayed here on 2 different occasions 1 week apart. First time we had a beautiful room with twin beds, second time we booked a room with a double bed. While we liked the first one very much we were unpleasantly surprised a week later to find a well worn room with a drab bathroom, dirty carpet and overall feeling like 2 stars less than the one we stayed in earlier. Not sure if there are some renovations going but the inconsistency on the accommodation quality made us rate this only 3. Location is very good across the train station and bus terminal and breakfast was good as well with asian and non-asian options.

This hotel's great advantage is it's location right by the main railway station. The station offers more than trains, with a substantial complex of shops and the adjacent bus station.
The rooms are small by European standards, but were clean and comfortable, enabling a good night's sleep.
The english speaking staff are welcoming and helpful.
If anything is lacking, worry not, it's available just down the road within the impressive station complex.

The hotel is just next to the train station which is perfect of you travel around with public transport. The room was clean and comfortable but as it was facing the train station, it was quite noisy. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast delicious. Great value for money. Would stay again.

This hotel is simple but clean and the rooms were an okay size if you have small luggage. We stayed for two nights here and is was great to be close to the station for trains and buses. You can get a bread based breakfast at the bakeries in the station. Good location to eat at the forus department store 6th fooor.

The hotel is located just in front of the Kanazawa train station, which makes it near shopping malls, convenience stores and transport. It is also about 20 mins walk away from the Fish market, where more malls can be found. That said, malls is probably not the thing you're going for in Kanazawa, but is easily solved by the well connected transport system from the train station. Just get the day pass to make things simpler (somehow the weekend day pass is cheaper than the weekday).

In any case, the problem with the hotel is that it is rather old. The room feels a little dirty as such, with a small tv. Probably cant compare to the various hotels surrounding the train station. This is, however, one of the cheapest in the vicinity. Hence, you pay what you get. Wifi works well in the room though.

Conclusion, this is just an average hotel. Probably wouldnt stay in this hoel the next time.

Decent hotel located across the road from Kanazawa Train Station, but it's a good 30-40 minute walk to the hub of the city and main attractions.

We were in Kanazawa for just a day in total before moving on to Hiroshima, with hindsight I would have preferred a hotel in a more central location so we could have enjoyed more of this lovely city.

If you are here for more than a day, then this is a good budget hotel to spend a few days in. Rooms were clean and comfortable, WiFi connection was excellent and the buffet breakfast had a wide variety of both Japanese and Western options.

We stayed here for one night as part of a tour of Japan with Wendy Wu. It is an older style hotel with very small room and bathroom. As others have said, it's advantage is that it is next to the train station and has underground access from just outside the hotel directly into the station and retail arcades. Not sure of the room rates as we paid a total price for the whole tour, but assume it would be cheaper than other hotels near Kanazawa station, such at the ANA. We took the train from Kanazawa to Kyoto and were able to walk to the trains. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Free wi-fi was available.

This is a business-class hotel that we stayed at while on tour. The hotel was satisfactory in all respects. The room was of adequate size, had twin beds and was immaculately clean. The beds were comfortable. There was a desk and chair, a tiny table and chair, and a small refrigerator. Lots of immediately available hot water. There is speedy free wifi in the rooms and also a computer in the lobby. Breakfast is a buffet and there is plenty to eat. The hotel is handy to the railway station.
