This is not a new hotel but well maintained. APA group has hotels in all city in Japan and their price is medium. They do have special discounts and it depends on your luck. I got a three nights stay and paid only ¥14.000 which was really cheap for the best location hotel which was just beside the west entrance of Kanazawa Station. The lobby is small and smell cigarette as the restaurant allows smokers inside. The hotel has three lifts and you need to tap your keycard in order to operate which was good for safety purpose. After you reach your floor, you need to tap to open the general door before you reach the corridor. Room is Japanese standard, bathroom is even smaller. As this is not a new hotel, the toilet seat is not heated. All toilet amenities are provided including body wash towel. Free coffee and tea with kettle inside room and they provide a bottle of free drinking water every day. Wifi is strong and free. Just beside the hotel entrance is a 24 hour minimarket and you can get everything including hot snack and simple food. A few steps from the hotel is Kanazawa station with plenty restaurants and shops. Very convenience location and reasonable price. Kenrokuen garden and Kanazawa Castle is in walking distance, 25 minutes easy walk. The famous Omicho market is 15 minutes walk. Kanazawa famous attractions are all in walking distance including Shigashi Cahya Geisha village. Highly recommended and will come back again.

There is a large public bath, but it is a hassle to show your room key at the entrance, and it is difficult to use the large public bath for a fee even if you are not staying at the hotel. The twin room was small, but it was well-cleaned and clean.
Anyway, it was right by the station.
It was very helpful that they could leave my luggage before and after check-in.
Smoking and non-smoking rooms were clearly separated.
It was cheap (although it seems to vary depending on the day), but it had an open-air bath and was very comfortable \(^o^)/
It's convenient and recommended for a quick 1-2 night trip to Kanazawa.
However, they advertise that you have to register as a member and check in in 1 minute, but for some reason the front desk was slow and there was quite a line, so it only took a few minutes.
(On a cheap day) I would definitely use it again.
Anyway, it was right by the station.

The phone was ringing the whole time and it took me a while to notice it so I had a hard time falling asleep. I don't want to stay here anymore. Give me my sleep back.
The location is good as it's close to the station. The bath is old, but there is a rest area and an all-you-can-read manga service. It's a bit disappointing that outsiders are allowed in too. Breakfast is a buffet.

A great place to stay in Kanazawa. So close to the station which is very convenient for luggage and also shopping and places to eat. Fabulous onsen including gorgeous outdoor baths. And so quiet!!! Like all our Japanese hotels, tiny room, but did have under bed luggage storage. And so clean. Bed comfortable but terrible pillow!!

Staying at the APA hotel was a rather bad experience. The room was so small that the, equally small, bed just could be squeezed in. There is not much room for the cleaners, and this is by far the dirtiest hotel room we have seen in Japan. The hotel is pretty run down, and we had a major leakage in the bathroom. It didn't make us any more positive to find that out the president of the hotel group is an extreme nationalist, far right advocate.

We checked in this hotel on weekend co-insided with Japanese public holidays. Therefore It is the most expensive one we stayed in Japan. Although it is the western style, bedroom and bathroom are so smal. Even sitting on the toilet feels like sitting on the toilet of lock up room. TV is largest we have seen. Location is great because it is behind the shopping mall. Kanazawa station is walking distance.
During our check in, one guest from has complained about her luggage transfer from Osaka hotel to this hotel has been lost. The reason is she booked the hotel with her name. The luggage transfer from other hotel was her husband name. The hotel sent back her luggage to Osaka and she was frustrated for inconvenience. Her request for ringing Osaka hotel with Japanese speaker was ignored by reception. Before I was considering about luggage transfer to other city. Due to her information, I decided not to go ahead.
Kanazawa is not convenient if someone got sick. Even pharmacist from shopping mall can not speak English. Using Iphone Japanese translation has helped us to buy the medicine.
Hotel check in process took a long time due to holidays. Breakfast is generous however it is not so great. There is no coffee inside bedroom. The hotel is located at corner. Standard rooms are a bit squeezed because of limited space. Better stay in larger hotel nearby.

This Hotel is very close to train station from west exit which use only 5 min walk. However, the room is very very tiny small. The bed is tiny small for two person and too soft. This room look like for one person stay. We don't have space to open the luggage, so we have to use the bed to open. The air condition is not working well. This may be good for local japanese not support to other traveller who have luggage to stay. The staff is great service. Free wifi. When we need to use computer with internet, we have to insert coin at lobby area. This should not be like this because others hotel have free computer to use.

You cant get a better location then this in kanazawa, its literally next to the main station and the main busport so it serves as a great base for business and travel. The rooms are miniscule, however the beds are comfy and the bathroom is clean and decent sized. Checkin is easy and the in house restaurants are good. The standout is the onsen of this place, i only saw the male one but it is very large and has both indoor and outdoor baths and at least 20 showers. Definitely recommend for the low price charged!
