Our room (a luxury floor De luxe) had two 4' twin beds and was perfectly comfortable except that there were absolutely no drawers for clothes - the only drawer being taken up by a very large safe. As we were staying for 3 nights this meant that we had to live out of our suitcases which was very inconvenient as...

The hotel makes the major sights accessible on foot; these include the Nakamichi district, the Kenroku-en, the Castle Park and the Omicho (market). This point is significant especially during the spring and autumn during which (cherry blossom or maple) trees at the Kenroku-en are (romantically) lit up during some evenings (so then one can comfortably visit during the day and...

Have you ever visited the Japan Sea side of Japan? I paid a short visit to Kanazawa a few days ago. Now the Japanese maple trees are turning red, orange and yellow in that region, and the sky is blue and high. Just two and half hours from Tokyo by a bullet train you will find the other side of...

This hotel is in a great position - 10 minutes from most of the main sites including the famous garden. From the station you need to take a taxi especially if you have luggage though its a flat, pleasant 20 minute walk to the station largely along an old canal. Our room was a reasonable size with good storage and...

The location of the hotel is excellent. Near wonderful shopping and sites such as the gardens, the samurai district, etc. Rooms are comfortable but on the small side. All of the staff are wonderful. Does anyone know the type of pillow they use? Is it beads or buckwheat? The manufacturer's name? I slept so well, I'd like to buy one

Well situated for visiting the Kenroku-en garden and the old quarter of town. This is a modern hotel with a good restaurant and a nice, if small, bar. I mention this because, contrary to what you might expect, a lot of the hotels (at least the ones we stayed in) in Japan do not have a lounge bar or if...

Very beautiful hotel, ideally located with respect to the park which is by far the most beautiful spot in Kanazawa. We had a great check-in experience, the staff was gentle and professional and they made our stay very special. Beautiful and spacious room, very good breakfast both Japanese and continental.

The hotel is well situated, clean and within easy reach of the castle and the 21st Century Museum, as well as many dining and shopping options. the place felt cramped - elevators, rooms and dining room seemed to be somewhat smaller than other places.

This is a beautiful part of Japan and worth a visit, Much smaller area to get around and the gardens and temples are fabulous, we enjoyed lovely Japanese food i a number of restaurants, one we could not handle was all about OFFAL, but the staff were very understanding when we decided to go somewhere else

The hotel is in a great location within the historic Nagamachi Buke Dashiki district and in walking distance to the beautiful Kenrokuen Gardens; main street shopping is right outside the hotel door. The hotel itself reminds me more of a business hotel than anything else, where the rooms and bathrooms are smallish, but very clean. There are two restaurants serving...
