Not very good hotel. Rooms are old fashioned not really clean. Breakfast included is Japanese from 6 to 9. We went at 8:40 and they were already taking food off the buffet. We asked for bread and jam and the lady seemed bored about the request. Little not understandable English spoken at the reception only. The entrance hall has stairs so not easy to access with luggage indeed we discovered that the elevator goes down to the entrance . To find it go in the corridor you see on the right side close to the latte restaurant (Italian one - not tried) and you will find it in front of you.

It's a little confusing that the Kanazawa Central Hotel, and the Annex, appear to be run as separate hotels, - especially when you try to check in to the wrong one.
The hotel is about 5-10 minutes on foot from the Kanazawa JR Station.
The hotel is a typical business style hotel, with all the usual features of a business hotel. The twin room was a little small, and it had us falling over each other moving around in it. The bathroom is a typical prefab cubicle, and has the bidet toilet. There are toothbrushes, razors and all the usual accessories.
The hotel is a little tired, and a little spruce up would help.
Kanazawa central also has a sento bath on the second floor which was a nice feature if you wanted to try out the sento world before diving full on into Japanese Public Baths.
The staff were helpful.
There are a number of restaurants around the hotel, so you have a lot of dining choices. The markets are also within walking distance if you feel so inclined.

Excellent location 5 minute walk from the central train station

The hotel staff spoke limited English. This would not have been an issue normally, but we had booked a non-smoking room and when we arrived in our room to find it smelling of smoke and with an ashtray on the desk it was hard to communicate that we wanted to move to an alternate room. They did agree to move us, but the new room was on the same floor. As the entire floor smelt of smoke, this didn't really resolve the issue. However, I'm not sure that there were any non-smoking floors in the entire hotel, so if having a room that smells of cigarette smoke is an issue for you I would avoid booking a room here. The air conditioning also took a very long time to cool down the room. We checked in at about 8pm and it took until midnight for the main part of the room to begin to feel cool. We were in Kanazawa during an extremely busy period (there appeared to be some kind of conference taking place whilst we were there) which led to limited availability of hotels and inflated prices. If we had stayed at this hotel for the normal price, we would probably have found it reasonable in terms of value for money. As we actually paid a lot more, we were not overly impressed by the standard of the accommodation.

The lighting throughout the hotel is very dim, especially the elevator,
room is smelly, cannot open my luggage properly as the room is small, noisy air-con &
not enough parking space.

i can only say that the wifi connection is good. i wish i was booked Mystay Hotel at the opposite side :(

Our single and double rooms were absolutely predictable, precisely the same as so many business hotels, though not as much light or as many electrical sockets as some. Bed not as comfortable as most. It seems little English is spoken, even on the reservations phone. Corridors are horribly overheated, but the windows in the room open, at least.

Standard pricing, but the location was a nice surprise -- just five minutes from the Kanazawa Station building, taxi ranks and bus stops. A little difficult to find, since the signage atop the buildings (perfectly visible from near the station) is only in Japanese. Look for セントラル ホテル Don't imagine that they will release your room a minute before their 3:00 PM check-in time, even though most of the rooms are vacated early and all seem to have been cleaned long before noon.

Stayed in the newer East Building, but the breakfast is served in the older main building (in a surprisingly nice space). Not much of a greeting there, just a persistent insistence that each person take a tray. Food is cold, rather boring, and not replenished after about 8:00 in spite of an advertised opening time until 9:00.

Fine for a quick lay-over. We stayed two nights and certainly would not have stayed more.
