The hotel definitely feels a bit old and tired, but it's still very clean and comfortable with excellent service. I was upgraded to what was essentially a junior suite due to my status and found the room to be very spacious and comfortable. The pillows were too soft for my taste but luckily there was a harder pillow in the closest. The toilet has an automatic bidet which will raise the lid as you get near it and then automatically flush (fancy!). Every morning the staff would also provide newspapers, which I thought was really old school. Location-wise this hotel can't be beat. You're literally right next to Kanazawa Station which gives you easy transportation access and also puts you close to dining options. There are a lot of malls around the station with good restaurants and shops. There's also a large 711 just a few steps away. The only gripe I had about the room was that I found the sink area to be a bit too small and there was little space for me to put my toiletries.

Clean and contemporary, the ANA Crowne Plaza is a very good choice for lodging in Kanazawa. Catering to those on business and travelers passing through it will satisfy all but the most fastidious.
The hotel sits next to the Kanazawa train station which is ideal for shopping and restaurants. There is a small sake tasting bar in the adjacent department store-a great place to sample locally produced sake.

The hotel is located right next to the Kanazawa train station (which, by the way is a really beautiful building). The Kanazawa loop buses all start and end at the train station so for tourists the hotel location is really good.
The staff were very efficient and polite, the breakfast was superb, food at the Japanese restaurant was one of the best we had in Japan - all great stuff. The only problem we had was that the room was really small. To be honest the room was just about enough for a single person with only a cabin bag as luggage. My wife and I are average sized, and we just couldn’t get around the room without squeezing past each other. Luckily, we had shipped our suitcases to Tokyo which was our next destination and came to Kanazawa with just 2 cabin sized bags. If we had our suitcases also with us we would have been very uncomfortable.

Awesome location next to Kanazawa station which is where the Shinkansen comes into Kanazawa. All buses in Kanazawa start from Kanazawa station. Not an extensive train network, buses will get you to almost all tourist locations. Breakky was good selection of western and Japanese options. Rooms were a bit tired, and even though we booked a non smoking room it smelled of smoke. We requested a room change which they obliged and our next room was a vast improvement, it had been lightly renovated but as bigger and didn’t smell of smoke. We received a good welcome and were allowed to check in upon arrival an hour early. The room was a bit dated and in need of a refurbishment as edges of cupboards are chipped and the bathroom is dated. However, it was a comfortable room with a decent amount of space. There were two armchairs and a table which was good. A water cooler is available to fill water bottles which was a nice touch - we even managed to get black tea here! When we asked for ice and more black tea, service was very prompt. Other nice touches were the eye masks and bath salts. My only gripe was that the bar and happy hour were advertised on boards but when we tried to go, there was a function on in both so we were not allowed to go in.

The hotel is situated 1 minute walk from the Kanazawa station, connected by the covered walkway. It is also a walking distance to the central bus station to key sightseeing spots of Kanazawa city, which is truly a little Kyoto with culture, history, cerenity and wonderful Japanese cuisine including sweets. A must visit when you come to Japan. Rooms are super clean and comfortable, with extra "sleep advantage" good provided.

Awesome service for Ms./Mrs. Ayumi Yamashita and Mr. at Frontdesk (I do apologize forgot his name) I really appreciate their help during my stay for my package which trouble delivery on time. Their support and their help make me astounded. Breakfast was good especially Kanazawa speciality fried rice, room was a bit old but still good, many group tours stay here, so prepare for early breakfast, near Kanazawa station just a bit walk less than 3 minutes. This was almost a trip ruiner. I was on a business trip/vacation with family and when we picked the highs and lows of our trip - we all said the low was staying at the Crown Plaza in Kanazawa. This hotel is in desperate need of a major overhaul. We were initially put in rooms that looked like they hadn’t been updated since 1958. There was even carpeting in our bathroom which seemed odd. Everything reeked of mildew and it all felt damp. My sister’s room was equally bad if not worse. Carpet was stained, wallpaper peeling and stained, bathroom fixtures were corroded and we dreaded having to go back to our rooms at night. We asked to have our rooms changed and were put in “renovated” rooms. These rooms were a bit better but not enough that I’d ever want to stay here again. To be fair, the staff could not have been nicer, none of this was their fault, obviously and the breakfast buffet was perfectly fine. This is a great location at the train station and seems like they host a lot of conferences. What an opportunity to shine with a major major re-do. I almost never write a review that is unfavorable unless it is really egregious. The only thing worse than the stay was charging $178 per night for this. The heat was pretty bad when we were in Kanazawa so it would have been nice to be able to go back to the hotel room and cool off and relax. We wanted to spend as little time as possible in that room and we all breathed a sigh of relief upon checking out. If you are there on business and don’t really care - then, sure it seems adequate. If you are there on vacation and DO care about your accommodations, then look elsewhere.

In general the hotel and rooms were okay. We had an issue with trying to find a drink after a 36 degree day and they had told us there was no bar. When we found a bar on level 4 in their garden section they told us we were suddenly full when just prior it wasn’t an issue. Now just felt racist….When we complained to the manager he couldn’t communicate well with us and gave us the IHG number to call even though IHG customer service says to talk to the hotel first….now just wasting our time. (The lady helping him was good but he didn’t really know what he was doing) Having spent a small fortune at their teppenyaki ( which was good but $$$) the night before we decided not to waste anymore money here. Great location and very convenient for sightseeing / travelling within Hokuriku Region
Although this hotel a bit old, the location is great and very close to Kanazawa station.
The room is spacious, the view is nice and the staff is nice too.
Well equipped with various of amenities, such as eye mask, lotion, sleep well tea, wake up tea… etc

Other than breakfast, we did not use any hotel facilities so I don't know if they have a pool or not. Easiest way to find out is go on the IHG hotel group site. Crowne Plaza hotels are a brand of IHG (Intercontinental Hotels Group).

I don't remember if there was an ATM or not, but I know there is an currency exchange at the reception desk. However there are ATM's in the train station, in the department stores, which are located next to the hotel, only 2 minutes walk from the hotel.
