Japanese traditional style inn with Onsen. 15 min ride from Kenroku-en takes you to quiet and beautiful area. You will enjoy the water fall from outside bath, it was really breath taking view when it snows. Also, dinner and breakfast were very fine, many local dishes we enjoyed.

Our stay at Takitei was an unexpected delight! It is located in a magical, rural setting just outside of a residential area on the outskirts of Kanazawa. Our experience was wonderful from the minute we drove up to the ryokan. We were greeted by two friendly, welcoming staff as we drove up the long driveway to the hotel. The check-in was easy, and they upgraded our room to a suite for no extra charge. The rooms were both western and Japanese style - very clean and well provisioned. A balcony overlooked a small stream stocked with koi - the hotel even provided a small bag of koi food! The koi quickly swam over when we went onto the deck! The food was terrific, and we had our own table at both meals, with a dedicated waitress who explained what the dishes were. The hot spring bath was heavenly - very clean and relaxing. Definitely the most comfortable place and best deal for the cost during our 3 week stay in Japan. We hope to visit there again soon. Highly recommended.

I just dont know how to express the feeling when i saw the outdoor onsen. The view is just marvellous, facing a water fall.
We got an upgrade in the room and it is huge, nicely decorated & cozy.
Also love the kaiseki and the way they presented it.
Just one thing which is not very nice is they didnt reply my email on picking up service to the hotel. So we were a bit nervous in finding way to the hotel after we got off the bus.

Of all the riokans visited this trip to Japan, Taitei stands out as the most astoundingly luxurious and inviting location. Our bedroom was spacious and handsomely attractive with a private outdoor hot tub overlooking a stream and lush wild landscape. The staff was incredibly helpful and gracious. The dinner and breakfast were copious and very well prepared. It was my great misfortune to only spend one night here as we could easily imagine spending several relaxing days. I would gladly return here for a repeat experience.

Staying at the Takitei was a real delight. It's located in a semi-rural setting next to a river, a taxi ride away from Kanazawa. We had a huge room with our own private hot bath on the balcony from which we enjoyed watching birds fish. Service was beyond excellent - our delicious 12 course dinner was served in a private dining room and there was also a very pleasant lounge in which to relax and have a drink. The building and its gardens are beautifully designed and maintained - a great place to relax and unwind after some hectic Kanazawa sightseeing.

Our room was very beautiful and spacious. It came with its own outdoor bathtub and even a massage chair. Dinner and breakfast are served in private dining nooks on the first floor near the lobby. The food was delicious but somehow lacked that extra oomph or special twist that would have made it memorable. Maybe this was just because the food in the area is generally of such a high quality, my taste buds were spoiled. Still had a very relaxing experience, however! Would recommend if you're looking for places near Kanazawa.

Stayed here for three nights which was probably one night too much as three days of formal Japanese food for breakfast and dinner is a bit much and you need to go in a taxi to get anywhere outside the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful in a lovely location. The staff were charming and friendly and the rooms very comfortable and well designed (although obviously being a ryokan you are sleeping on the floor). We had a room with our own bath on the veranda which was lovely with views over the river although it was quite a bit more expensive. I'd recommend Takitei to anyone who wants to try a ryokan but suggest just one or two nights rather than three.

Staying at this hotel was an outstanding experience and in particular, the food was a real delight. It was exceptionally clean and well presented. The friendliness and courtesy of the staff was outstanding even by Japanese standards. Evening meal and breakfast were included in our package and wonderful. The Spa is excellent. There is loads to do around Kanazawa and I wish I had spent time at the hotel.

I like travel and have stayed at various inns and hotels so far,
It was a great inn with no points to deduct.

It was a hastily decided trip,
Since there was the Noto earthquake, I chose this inn to do something in Ishikawa Prefecture.

Many people greeted us from the time of arrival,
Check-in is also nice in the lobby, sitting in the same Kashiwagi woodwork chair as my family
I had an elegant time with matcha and rakugan.
It's a small number of rooms, but it's hardly passing anyone else.
We had access to a public bath, nice library and lounge.

The room was a guest room with an open-air bath and the water was a little hot
I don't see many people in the public bath either, so I used that as the main.
The hair dryer and shower head are also luxurious with Refa.

The food was in a small cubicle, but we could control the heating and cooling ourselves.
It was very nice for me and my wife who were hot.
After all I had grilled Nodoguro with salt for the first time in my life
Unlike sushi, it was excellent.
How delicious was the other one?
I had also emailed several times in advance about meals
My husband, who's more of a eater, is also full.
I'm glad I didn't order more. (You have to eat mine, too.)
I don't want alcohol. My wife and I eat very quickly.
Did the person in charge of that also tell the chef?
I really appreciate you bringing it early every time.
The taste was all elegantly light and very good for us.
(If you're in the Kanto area, it might seem pretty thin.)
The tableware was also lovely Kutani-yaki, and I was glad that the food came every time.
Breakfast, of course, was so delicious that I couldn't move after eating it.

It is a great relief to see fresh flowers everywhere in the building.
A friend of the florist said,
"The inns and shops that decorate fresh flowers are real! I can be attentive."
I was always told that, so I really thought that was true.

Even before I visited, we were exchanging emails about our anniversary.
And from that point on, it was very polite and likable.
In fact, I liked it even more after staying there.

The female staff who saw me off at the end were also lovely.
"With you along the way," he casually gave me a candy
He also took a lot of photos.

The whole family is busy.
It's hard to come back soon.
I'm sure you'll help me again.

Ryokan is not prepared to receive non-Japanese guests.
There is no western breakfast option and no information in English.
The place is beautiful but at the reception we felt an unreceptive atmosphere.
Our room had an external bath but no shower... Just a shower outside.
We fled quickly....
