There are a lot of eateries nearby and places for shopping as well.
The main drawback was the bed and pillows. I got body ache and headache after two days staying there.
Located within the Kanazawa station, the hotel is easy to find, with lots of food and shopping options just a few steps away.
The room is a standard business hotel, and is a decent size by Japanese standards. Choose the room configuration that has the table and bench setup. It's slightly bigger than the standard table-against-window setup. And it's great for eating bentos and watching TV.
There's a convenience store and shopping centre on the ground floor, a super market in the building connected to the hotel and plenty of food options.
Only tiny grouse (if you can even call it that) is how the lift works. You enter on the ground floor, the reception is on the 3rd, and hotel rooms are on the higher floors. Doesn't matter which button you press, the lift will always take you to the reception floor.
Staff are polite, speak English and will keep your luggage for you.
Good stay.
It is right within the impressive Kanazawa station with its private entrance. The lobby is on level 3 and the rooms are on floors above. Quiet, clean and nice. You won't feel the business of the station below you.
Great access to many restaurants and shops within the station, also the shipping mall Forus.
You won't miss the train or bus.
There are loads of shops and restaurants inside the station as well, even a super market downstairs at 2F. Hotel room is small but adequate, perfect for a short stay.
Only downside I found is that breakfast choices are very limited. There are a few cafes open early but that's about it. Can't even find a Sukiya nearby.
When I stayed here for three days in the first week of 2013 with snow fall throughout out. Because the hotel is right above the JR station and in front of the well equipped bus teminal, I didn't encountered much problem with the cold weather. I could travel easily and conveniently to different places around the city and enjoy the many eateries available by the station. The landmark market was also at walking distance from the station. When the weather was better, I enjoyed the walk pretty much.
If, like us, you are just staying one night and spending minimal time in the room then it is very handy.
