3-minute walk from Kanazawa Station. Facilities old, but it is a homely service business hotel. You can stay in very profitable. In the lobby I can use the wireless LAN. Hotels in the surrounding area there are many restaurants and convenience stores, it is convenient.

Detailed Reviews
The hotel is 5 mins walk from the iconic Kanazawa railway station, which is why we chose it. Yes, the hotel is in need of a refurb, and rooms could be cleaned to a higher standard, but they were ok given that this hotel doesn't pretend to be something which it isn't. WiFi signal in the room was fine. We were allowed to leave our cases whilst we wandered around the city. We opted for breakfast which was fine. The whole place seems to run on just a small staff, which explains a lot. We were made welcome. The only gripe was that we could hear the whining of an electric motor throughout the night.

If you remember going on road trips as a child and staying in inexpensive motels then this is a throw back to those days. The front desk woman is friendly but think old school. They rooms are dated and our first room had mold around the tub enclosure . We moved to a newer room which was better. If you get a good price on the room and you are not picky it will do you fine. Otherwise it might be better for you to spend some more money.

We had to book this hotel because the other hotels in K were booked or too expensive. We payed 118 euro for a 4 person room (as a couple) and it is terrible! Fridge has own wildlife and there are mushrooms growing in the bathtub...

Stayed there in the beginning of April and this was worst hotel I have been to so far.
Reasons:
- hotel was dirty and smoked through with cigarette smell. No choice for non-smoking rooms.
- Absolutely no English
- We were forced to pay cash even there was sign of Visa/Mastercard
- WiFi only in the lobby
- Aircon working randomly - one night it was OK, the other it was switched off. Of course, no way to explain to the staff as they don't speak English
Would avoid by all means.

The worst hotel I've ever been. All the rooms are dirty. It's better not to look under the beds. The service is disappointing and horrible. Please follow mi advice: do not stay in the oka hotel if you want to save a horrible night. There are better options

I'd read some not so good reviews of this place, but it was absolutely perfect for me. It is very central & only about 5 minutes walk from the main train station. It is surrounded by restaurants & nightclubs. It has a small onsen & a restaurant. Good breakfast included too.
Decorations, art work & statues make it very interesting, as does the wonderful Oka herself, who is often playing a Japanese musical instrument in the lobby & is very friendly.
Some of the hall carpets are threadbare, but the room was fine & very comfortable, with everything supplied, such as pyjamas, slippers & toiletries & a window that opened. One of my most enjoyable stays in Japan.

+1
The hotel is run by an old lady. We had communication problem with her but she was trying her best to help.
We stayed at 4 bedded room.
The room was cramped with 4 beds, only small space available for us to walk around. This didnt bother us much because we stayed only for 1 nite and we leave early in the morning.
This hotel located walking distance from Kanazawa station. Its like few minutes walking.

We've been there for one night. Perfect location, nearby the JR Station and 20min walk to Omicho market and 30min walk to the Cha district. Room was small but everything was in it's right place. The old lady at reception doesn't speak any english but, believe me, you'll understand her! At the end of the day she played koto (an old japanese instrument) for us and let my wife play it with her!
Choose it if you don't want an aseptic international hotel in your trip to Kanazawa (don't care if it isn't the cleanest in town). Price, including breakfast, was really good (around 50€).

The location of the hotel is pretty good, which is near the train station. The hotel itself is a bit old. The staff can speak basic English, so it's enough for the check-in/out. It's an average hotel for low budget travelers.

The hotel is very close to Kanazawa station, about 5 mins walk! Great value of price. The owner is very nice, and played beautiful music on a Japanese traditional instrument, she doesn’t speak much English we understood her perfectly (:
