Only stayed a night here as we were with a tour. There's a Lawson 2-3mins walk away, further down the main road you'll see nice boutiques and a department store across the street. Excellent location.

We had a double bed room with a typical Japanese unit bath. I really dislike the outdated looking flowerly comforter on the bed. The room was a little smaller compared to other hotels of the same category that I've stayed at in Japan. Basically there's no more walking space after laying our 2 big luggages on the tiny walkway. I kicked into one of them while on the way to bathroom. Luckily only staying one night else I might get more and more bruises. Our room was facing the building opposite directly thus not much of a view. Room was clean and breakfast was nice nonetheless.

The outstanding thing about this hotel for us was that it had the softest pillows we had the whole time we were in Japan. Most places had really hard pillows with little lumpy bits in them, which seems to be the normal thing there. It was clean and pleasant, and the breakfasts were very nice with a good variety of food. The scrambled eggs were particularly good.

Our group stayed in the annex. Some complained about the cleanliness of the room but I didn't consider them bad. I appreciated the variety of restaurants, as not al Japanese hotels have them. I did miss the lack of a bar. It didn't open until later, on the top floor where the fancy dining was, & had no patrons when I looked.

I always like to re-read the reviews before posting my own, and I have to say I wonder if we stayed in a different hotel as our room was fabulous. We arrived during Golden Week and had to leave the Nikki hotel as the prices there doubled the following 2 nights. I can only assume that the Prestige had no rooms left when we turned up late, and therefore upgraded us. Our room was huge with the largest bed we've ever had in Japan. The bathroom was equally impressive and the nespresso machine just added that touch. We were really surprised by the quality of the room as this was the only room we could find at a resonable price. Just hope that whoever reads this gets an equally good room as the pictures listed by other reviewers are so different to what we experienced.

Thank you very much for staying at our hotel. It has been renovated in 2020 with the concept of (a dignified samurai appearance). There is also a tourist information center on the first floor, and we are very happy that you enjoyed sightseeing in this very convenient location. Please stay at our hotel again when you come to Kanazawa. Thank you for your post.

I found the staff here very helpful and accommodating. The hotel single rooms have a small space around the toilet because of the design and door configuration so I upgraded to a double room. This was very spacious almost two rooms and the bathroom was nearly as big as the single room I checked out of. So advisable to pay the extra for a double room if you need the bathroom space. The breakfast had the best range of fresh food that I ever had in the months travel and the cakes were a delight also in the coffee mezzanine space. The location is great - right next to an unusual shrine with an old weird shaped bridge over the small pond and if you continue through the shrine you are in the castle via a nice small Japanese garden. If you walk through the castle grounds you come out at the famous gardens and Modern Art Gallery so it was easy to get around from the hotel. I could also walk to the Nomura Samurai house.

We had an awful experience in this hotel. Let me start by saying that this is NOT a new hotel. It is old, dated and not very well maintained. The toilets are so tiny and the rooms are shabby and old. The A/C is turned of during certain times of the year, REGARDLESS of whether the rooms themselves are warm inside. When we complained about the warm room (in October), we were told to just open our windows. This was not acceptable at all because of the noise from the cars below, which kept us from getting a good nights' sleep. Awful experience. Will never go back to this hotel again.

This hotel had very nice amenities, very nice staff, very clean and quiet, and so convenient to everything we wanted to see. By far the largest room we had during our small group tour. We stayed in the "annex"; very nice buffet breakfast which was even better when available on the 12th floor in the main building. Just a block or two from the main street (we were there during a city festival and easy walk to the famous gardens.

We stayed at this hotel because we were on a group guided tour across Japan. We reached late at night so cannot comment on what's around. The hotel appears "oldish" in character but tastefully done. We had a triple room which was big by any Tokyo standards. The bathrooms and room was clean and no odours. The surrounding is quiet at night. Breakfast upstairs was wonderful, serve by attentive staff and provides a good view out of the window - above neighbouring lower structures. Breakfast selection is good and we enjoyed ourselves.

This hotel is ideally located (near most attraction, shopping street and restaurant) but our room was oldedish.
The furniture where oldish style, which is OK but everything else too.. wallpaper, carpet, etc are from another time. Only TV was new.
We had to turn off mini-bar who was very noisy and A/C is also very noisy and it's difficult to not use it in July, so we did not slept well due to the noise.
Room size was a bit small for the price.
I'll recommend to try another hotel than this one or get sure you get a renovated room.

Kanazawa is a large city and has many things to see. The famous Kenrokuen Garden and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art are at a walking distance from the hotel.
The hotel is located close to the main street that has many stores and eating places.
The room was big with two parts. Breakfast was good. it has WiFi in the room.
The day we arrived was just crowded with girls wearing kimonos. It was due to a competition that was taking place just at the auditorium across the street. We had a great opportunity to see the many types of kimonos and the fancy hair styling they were wearing.
It was a nice experience.
