We stayed here two nights and found the place relaxing. The rooms are big with all the modern conveniences and the beds were very comfortable. The included breakfast buffet was fine with both Western and Asian cuisine available. This hotel has a whole floor featuring the communal hot spring baths. Service was very good

booked this hotel knowing that it was far from center as it was the only available hotel during the Takayama April Festival. The good: upon arrival, they had a drop-off facility at the Takayama Station wherein you can leave your luggage so you can proceed to roam around before check-in. this made us maximize our time in Takayama especially that it...

We stayed here on a group tour of the region. The staff here do a great job. We have really enjoyed the stay and the suki yake dinner was very special. The onsen are worth a visit. The buffet breakfast is also a good standard.

I am not too sure what we paid as it was all part of a tour package; however, this hotel is top class. There is a shuttle bus from the railway station that runs from a special rank on the non shop side of the station ... use the exit away from the main one (east I think). Runs about...

Hotel has a good view of the mountains. But the good news ends there. No room service to rooms at all. No mini bar. Could not get milk delivered to room for coffee. Single beds only available and they are single beds very small. Japanese restaurant very good. Buffet restaurant is terrible. Breakfast horrendous. Every morning during our 4 day...

Stayed here for two nights as part of a group tour of Japan. Hotel is situated around a 10 minute drive from town centre and is fairly remote, however this is compensated for by wonderful views (when clear) over Takayama to the nearby mountains from the large panoramic windows in room. There are two wings and the hotel website says...

It was my second time to stay in Hotel Associa Takayama. I am again satisfied with everything this hotel has. From the rooms, the food, the staff and bus transfers to Takayama station. And of course, the wonderful view while eating breakfast is something I always look forward to see. Hope to be able to come back again in Hotel...

this is a good four star hotel, about as good as one can expect in a small town. Rooms adequate although the pillows felt like they were pillowcases filled with bricks. Food excellent and a very pleasant surprise

This is a basic three star hotel which seems intent on pushing groups through. The room smelt of smoke, just single beds plenty of space and main feature is big electric toilet commanding most of the room in bathroom. Cheap taxi ride down hill to old town. There are hot spring pools but didn't use. Not on our return list.
