Nice modern hotel, clean with good facilities. However, our room had an oddly large bed, like two double beds combined, larger than a king. Therefore, it had no bedside tables at all, a huge negative. The bed itself was extra firm but with nice pillows. Otherwise, the room had zero storage. Nowhere to store clothes, in spite of having sufficient space to have ample built in some storage. It seems like hotel room designers have never used a hotel room. We were with a group tour and our breakfast was served in a bento box, very nice. We arranged to use their private onsen and it was very reasonably priced, 2,000 yen for 45 minutes. The hotel is located within a short walking distance of most Takayama points of interest.

This hotel was the polar opposite of the faded 1980s hotels in some of the cities. Totally modern and brand new, there was an automated kiosk to check in but staff were there to assist with problems. The room was small but very functional and well laid out with a good use of space. It had the modular bathroom which seems to be the thing in Japan. Great water pressure but the modular bathrooms all feel a bit like an upgraded RV. The TV was large and netflix enabled which gave us the opportunity to enjoy an english movie. The onsen is very popular and a big attraction at this kid and family friendly hotel. Convenient location.

This modern hotel has some nice history shown in it, each room was quite nice and felt luxurious, and the staff was very helpful. They have a nice gift shop and served bento boxes for breakfast. The only complaint was air conditioning was a challenge to keep at a comfortable temperature.

The hotel is very new and modern. Staffs are friendly. Room is spacious and clean. The bathroom is very spacious too. Breakfast was included with 2 choices (Japanese Style/ Western Style) and tasted good. It is close to the famous Sanmachi Suji which is around 12 mins away walk.

I stayed here on a sightseeing trip with my wife. I think the location is good. The hotel's parking is apparently 1500 yen on a first-come, first-served basis, but it was full so we used a nearby paid parking lot. When we went to sleep, we found a poultice that someone had used under our covers, which was disgusting and really disappointing. One thing leads to another.

The hotel is relatively new. The lobby featured postcards with recommendations for Takayama. The staff were polite and accommodating. The private onsen was clean and offered Hida milk. My only complaint is that the room was quite dim; additional lighting would make it perfect.

Booked a double room for one night on 3/23, with one bed and two meals. Hkd2940. Dinner had chicken and pork cooked in pottery. The chicken was thick and hard to cook. The pork was okay. The breakfast in the morning was not delicious. The Taiwan is so narrow that there is not enough room for two people in four stacks. I was forced to eat uncomfortably. The room is not big. There is a postcard of attractions hanging on the wall that can be taken out. There are pictures and words to introduce it. There is snow outside. The road is slippery. It seems that it has not been cleaned. The food is average. It looks good but the taste is not up to par. The room is small and it is a new type of hotel. I can’t say what your alternatives are, but if you can, avoid this hotel. First, the photo of the room we booked is completely different than the room we were in. Second, the room was the least comfortable room we stayed at on a three week, six city trip. Beds are hard as a rock, everything in the room seemed like someone thought to themselves, what is the best way I can design this, then did the exact opposite. Finally, the hotel is where the Chinese tours book, so there are large groups of Chinese tourists yelling and pushing, coughing without covering their mouths in the halls and lobby. It was a miserable stay except for the staff, who were wonderful and did their absolute best. We really appreciated the staff and all of their efforts!
