We booked 3 nights at a "Chalet" at Maramba. We checked out after one night in this hell hole. Dirty carpet, dirty bedspread, place swarming with mosquitos (no screen in open air vent in bathroom) no chair to sit on. What a dump! Such a...More
We have stayed at Maramba twice before in 2001 and 2005 and had wonderful stays there both times. So we have recommended them to overseas visitors on many occasions and didn't hesitate to book a camping site again when we took our girls to see...More
Stayed pre- and post-safari as part of a tour package, delighted both times. Lodging is in individual chalets or tents, adequate lighting and water (both temp and pressure). Beds comfortable, mosquito nets and bug spray both provided as well as in-room boiler for coffee. Electric...More

My wife and I stayed in one of the "tents"; but "tent" is something of an understatement. The tent was very well appointed, had a tiled floor and its own en-suite bathroom. The Restaurant had a good menu and the food was delicious.

We were able to arrange all of our activities through their front desk staff. They made all the calls and arranged our pick up and drop to the lodge. We did a safari at Chobe, fishing trip with Angle Zambia, and we got our own taxi to Victoria Falls but they can also arrange that for you. Just make sure to tell the kitchen staff you will need your breakfast ready early on days with early activities. As they don't serve breakfast until after most activities are set to leave the lodge... which is sort of silly. :)

"Choose chalet 2. It has proximity to everything and you can hear the hippos from your room!"
