Had the best time. We canoed, did a boat trip, lazed by the pool, drank delicious
cocktails, swam, canoed a bit more, ate fantastic food, and of course, saw the incredible Victoria Falls.
Loved every part. Service was superb, lunch on the grass by Chuma house was special, the s

This resort is on the edge of the Zambeize river so more than game drives are offered.
River cruises which are very relaxing. Resort is set up high on stilts due to wildlife but this does mean steps up and down to restaurant etc. Rooms airconditioned and very large, excellent k

How do you impress someone coming from the Kruger NP area; stay at Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma. The lodge is directly on Zimbezi river. When we were booking, we were not excited about the hotel being 25 minutes away from the Falls, but we trusted our travel agent’s recommendation. An

Like the other Sanctuary properties we have stayed at, Sussi & Chuma is very well run and attractively appointed. You will probably come to see Vic Falls. The Falls were fun but the high point of Sussi & Chuma is its location at the edge of the Zambezi. Two exceptional experie

Hi We are coming in January next year. We are from Australia and assume it will be hot. Is it safe to walk around the lodge day and night or are there dangerous animals around.
Such a wonderful place. We only saw hippos, curious birds and monkeys around the hotel, we didn't meet any elephants whilst there. As said, they take you from and to your room at night, just a precaution, in the daytime is no worries! The rooms are built on stilts!

Thank you for your answer - I see there is a trip included to the Zambia side of the Falls. Is it possible also to organise a trip to the Zimbabwe side? Is there a price list for additional activities?
We did the same as above, visited the Zimbabwe side of the falls on the way to Chobe Chilwero. It really is a must do as the falls on that side are far more impressive than on the Zambia side. We didn't take a helicopter, but instead had a lovely lunch at the Victoria Falls Hotel.

How easy is it to get to The Falls, if you want to do an additional trip - is there a shuttle or are taxis readily available?
Hello, Thanks for getting in touch. Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma is just twelve kilometres upstream from the world-famous Victoria Falls. A visit to Victoria Falls is included in a stay at Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma. This is organised for you by the Team. I hope this helps, feel free to contact us with any more queries! Best regards, Sanctuary Retreats
