Location was great!! The staff will do anything you ask with a smile. Hassan , the hotel manager will organize anything you need without question. Room were just ok but we were in the ruff. If you want to get away from it all for a few days - go here- I was there for 3 nights.

Royal Chundu surpassed our expectations in every way. The entire property is beautifully designed and the service is exceptional. Stunning location - the island lodge in particular - which is well worth the extra cost. Thank you to the Royal Chundu team for a wonderful visit.

It's about a one hour drive from Livingstone Airport, so you really are well away from the hustle bustle of the town. RCL is situated right on the banks of the Zambezi with superb views of the river. The accommodation comprises of individual lodges with a viewing deck and very well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. Hessah, the RCL head manager,...

Not many places on the planet can combine ... position: the middle of the mighty Zambezi; accommodation: only 4 luxury suites on the island; the food: every meal superb, the highlight...the Zambian tasting menu; things to do: canoeing the rapids while avoiding the Hippos, Tiger fishing, the Victoria falls, etc ...and most importantly the staff: Michael, Oscar, Vasco, and the...

This was our second visit to Royal Chundu and again it was perfect. The previous time, 2 years ago, it was just me and my husband on Island lodge, this time we brought our friends and stayed at River Lodge. In between the lodge is revamped and the whole decor looks fresh, African, colourful and happy. RCH is perfect for...

We have just returned from a three week sojourn that took us through Botswana, Zambia, and Namibia and are thrilled that we got the opportunity to call Royal Chundu River Lodge home for a couple nights. This special place undoubtedly kept our jaws permanently dropped; we enjoyed complete indulgence throughout our entire stay. This included, but was definitely not limited...

For their very first visit to Zambia I wanted to bring my parents to somewhere breathtaking and I am very glad I chose to book 2 rooms at the Royal Chundu island lodge... it offers 4 rooms only, and attentive service. The manager, Husein, really changed a luxurious OK stay into a wonderful experience. If I wanted to be really...

My wife and I spent 3 nights here on our honeymoon. The resort is breathtaking and the staff are incredibly attentive. They go to great lengths to make your stay great. The resort is about an hour west / upstream of the falls built next to a local village. The resort essentially sustains that village economically. Most if not all...
