Chu Hotel is a little older & not as flashy as those along the beach road, it's also a fraction of the price! Very big & comfortable room which was serviced every day & excellent service, especially Rachel who helped us sort out a tour to Ba Na Hills. OK breakfast included in the rate, with good bacon & great coffee. The best thing is the location. Surrounded by restaurants & bars, close to the beach, near to everything required. We stayed at Chu Hotel for 2 nights during Luna New Year 2015. The hotel was great, breakfasts included were good, the staffs was super friendly and helpful. The location is perfect too. From the hotel you can take the taxi (about $6) to the city where you can walk around the river. So here are some of my advices for you if you visit Da Nang for 1st time and you don't have much time like us. The 1st day you can take a taxi or rent a car to tour around Da Nang, start your day at 8am, go visit Linh Ung temple, Son Tra peninsula then go straight to Ba Na hill, after that you can go back to the hotel to have lunch or take a short break. You should leave for Hoi An around 3-4pm, on the way there ask the driver to stop at Marble mountain for about an hour. Hoi An is more beautiful at night anyhow so don't worry if you headed there a lit bit late. (It's cost us about $30 round trip from the hotel to Hoi An and back by taxi). The 2nd day you definitely should rent a car to go to Hue for the day because the taxi will cost you so much, we paid $95 for the rental car, the driver took us to all the must see destinations plus he would stop anywhere we asked him to. Make sure you ask the rental company the time you have to return because I've heard some places do charge you extra if you return late. Btw I did not rent the car at the hotel, I did some research online and found the rental company by myself. (The price was during the holiday so you might find a lit bit cheaper deal on regular days). Have a great vacation and hope my review is helpful for you.

I stayed at chu for 1 month and I felt like family close to beach monkey mountain marble mountain manager and staff very friendly also owner very friendly all round good value for money great place for a coffee or a meal also music at night would recommend to anybody who is thinking of staying there.

I was not staying there but popped in for a cup of hot tea on a cold miserable day while there I looked over the menu which had some very nice dishes I found the staff there to be very friendly and funny as well and were keen to try and learn a bit of English I went back that evening and found the place very busy there was 3 musicians that were playing some beautiful music The meal was fantastic as was the service the prices were very reasonable as well I had a great night

I love this little hotel. Nice service with lots of smiles. It is very hard to find some hotel like Chu Hotel in Vietnam.
I feel very relax whenever I come Chu Hotel. They have some good food too.

Good hotel with good service. Staff is very friendl. Roomssize are good and also clean. The oceanviev is not available, small minus point but overall the hotel is very good. In the evening you can use the nice cute bar.

INCREDIBLE! I've lived under the Chu Hotel roof for the past 9 weeks and couldn't feel more at home.
More importantly the management and staff have been warm, friendly and so accommodating.
The food, bar with live music, rooms and facilities have been unreal. Staff that want to make your stay so much more enjoyable and consistently ask you about your day and how your trip is going.
Chu Hotel, Da Nang has been an amazing experience right down to every little detail. I consider you all as family and I'd return here in a heartbeat.

Hotel is pretend to be near to the sea but there is a huge construction between the sea and the hotel. The rooms are not very clean and pretty old. AC works not good. When you leave the room not only AC turned off but all power sockets so you can't charge anything.

Members of our family have stayed in this hotel five times previously and after a short trip we will return to have our sixth visit in March. With many staff members and management remaining unchanged for a number of years, and the care and kindness of the staff, it creates a wonderful atmosphere. Located very close to the beach, fruit market, and other attractions it makes for a fabulous holiday.The restaurant caters for a variety off needs, beautiful fresh cooking, local business people with its fabulous coffee, and backpackers or surfers popping in,as well as special lunches and an extended menu for the more gourmet tastes,or a great Vietnamese food experience. The bar with live band is a regular evening booking and is wonderful with its great range of music, plus instruments. Fabulous efforts staff, a wonderful but reasonable stay.
