Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills is celebrated for its picturesque beauty and charming French village ambiance, accentuated by thematic decor and lively music. The attentive staff has received accolades for their service, despite occasional check-in hiccups. While the comfortable rooms and cleanliness standards are well-regarded, some guests note the room temperature and noise level as detractors. Although opinions on the hotel's value differ, with some citing steep prices, the unique amenities and proximity to attractions like the Golden Bridge are often highlighted as highlights of the stay.

The Mercure hotel at ba Na hills far exceeded our expectations and is well worth the premium charged.

The 25 minute cable car ride up is a wonderful way to start the weekend of sights and surprises.

The French village is exceedingly well done and pays attention to the smallest of details. At no time do you think that you are in Vietnam. The European illusion is complete even with the butter for your authentic croissants imported.

The included breakfast buffet was outstanding and reasonably priced food found at different locations. With a selection of happy hour locations even alcoholic beverages were reasonable.

The cable car brings you to the golden bridge and is surrounded by gardens that are stunning and diverse. From Roman
Inspired gardens to stunning Japanese pagodas, the grounds surprise and surpass expectations!

Truly a must see while in Vietnam and a hotel stay at Mercure is highly recommend!

Unique concept that each room have different mini history of each people. Only 12 VIP room. This time we stay in room 2135. The room is great and the view from the room is great too.

I would like to give a compliment to the 2 lady who come and pick us up at the top of the hill 05 Feb. They really make us feel as a special guest. Thank you for the memorial time.

You also dont have to worry about the luggage at all. At the check-in lobby downstair before you take the cable car, there is always someone to assist you on that.

The breakfast is good too.

We do have issue on hot water, but they come and fixed it quickly.

The compliment water is limited and give you limited amount, so if we want more water, we need to pay.

My little daughter and I stayed here 3 nights, there were not many tourists during pandemic time but we had great time as we don’t like crowds. The staffs are helpful and friendly, first night the receptionist guy offered us a tiny and smelly room was far away from the elevators although many rooms were available, after I claimed about my situation, the receptionist lady upgraded us a different room with nice view and big space that made us couldn’t be happier. The food was so so, we had big breakfasts but the lunch menu should be more choices as we stayed here 4 days but the lunch menu set was the same with same kinds of Food every single day. Bellman and swimming pool staffs are very nice and helpful, they tried the best to make us feel comfy like home, the chief engineer was there to check water temperature for us to make sure my baby is safe and have a good time. Only one thing we did not like is they limited the time to play as swimming pool from 4p.m to 10p.m as we are the morning people and we don’t want to swim when Bana hill is getting cold at evening time. Anyway, still want to give this place 5 stars for hotel staffs’s efforts. Definitely will be back one day.

We had the worst experience staying at this hotel. We are always a loyal customer to Accor group and we held Accor plus card for many years consecutively.

During New Year holidays, we booked 2 family suite rooms 80sqm which are the most expensive rooms options as a new year gifts for our parents and also pre -paid almost triple price as it was NY holidays.

When we arrived, the staff told us that water was leakage from the rooms for both 2 suites that we booked. We waited for 2 hours. After that another staff said that the suite was fully and over booked, no water leakage. We couldn’t imagine why this problem happened with your reputable hotel group like Accor.

After 2 hours waiting, the staff told us that they had to downgrade us to a normal rooms 28sqm (2305 and 2306) and 2 duplex (2315 and 2316) and will compensate us with all free minibar which our family really did not want because we want to stayed together as a family but we tried to understand hotel and let this problem go.

When we got back we got the email from hotel saying that they charged us for the minibar. I could not believe it so I email back to the hotel (so many times) until they said they will refund back to my account. However, up until now ( almost 2 months) I still have not see any refund back to my card.

Warning! never allow this hotel to downgrade you, the normal room is so small (28 sqm compare to the 2 bd suite 80 sqm). We got everything downgrade. Only 2 duplex rooms got the exclusive breakfast area ( that why we knew), the other 2 normal rooms did not get it which happened to be my parents.

When we got back from this trip, we told each other and also want to tell others that never let any hotel take advantage of you. We booked 2 family suit rooms and should insist to get that type of rooms we booked. (not allow them to downgrade you to smaller rooms and bad service). Our lesson is when we try to understand hotel (which is their problem not ours) we got a downgrade, bad service and the worst is got charged for things that hotel offer to us as compensation to their own problem. So next time, we will never let that happen to us again, we will let hotel solve their own problem.

If the manager happen to come across this review, can you send me any refund slip. I sent more than 5 emails to Mr. Maxwell asking for it, he replied but never sent the prove back to me and I also still have not received the refund yet.

We stayed here for three days and so were upgraded to a deluxe room in the main building. No problems with the room although the mattress was very soft, nice view overlooking the main square and cathedral. George checked us in, he was very polite with good English and explained all the necessary information and said to contact him if there was anything further he could do. Bellman Ken carried our luggage from the bottom and on the cable car to the top, he was happy and sociable. The cellar bar in the hotel advertised two for one on draft beers between 5.30-7.00 so we went down on our first night. The only people in the bar were two staff and the music was so loud we could not hear ourselves speak. The two staff were indifferent to serving us and they had no draft beer so we left. There is not a lot of choice for places to eat at night and we opted for the hotel buffet with one alcoholic drink included. I asked as we went in which beer was included and told draft but after paying and being seated we were told no draft beer, only small cans. The buffet is advertised as international but it’s more Asian. Food quality was poor and hot food only luke warm. So the next two nights we had the Asian buffet in the beer plaza which was half the price and included a very large draft beer and live music. Breakfast was much of the same poor quality and service, staff on the whole in the dining room were inexperienced, looked miserable, disinterested and had poor english. Checkout was very efficient. The bellmen Liz and Loc carried our luggage to the cable car and ensured we had priority boarding, they were sociable and professional. At the bottom another bell boy took our luggage and ordered a taxi for us, again he was very pleasant with good communication but sorry I did not get his name. Were it not for the bellman and George at check in I would have given a poor rating.

Arrived at Toc Tien Cable Car station, the bell boy assisted us to the counter. We paid a discounted price for the attraction tickets and after which led to the cable car station. It was packed and full of tour groups. However we got the express queue with the bell boy! Truly it save us lot of time. At every cable car station, there will be someone assist us on our bags. Check in only starts at 2pm, hence we checked our bags at the concierge and walk about at Bana Hills. At about 2pm, we were checked in by the reception and was notified of the breakfast timing and cable car timing. We stayed at Marseille Hotel. Nice decent room will full ameneities - Toothbrush, Shower & Shampoo, wide selection of Tea, Bath robes, umbrella and slippers. Quite complete for a hotel. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was awesome! Wide range from Vietnamese cuisine to International cuisine. We checked out at 10am and Bell boy assisted us to the cable car station. Service was seamless. For us as a foreigner whom do not speak their language, it would be very helpful.

The hotel provided great check-in service from the Toc Tien station and handled my baggages carefully to the hotel.

Upon arrived the main lobby, Guest Relation Manager took us to 3 different rooms to choose. It is great idea as I can choose my favorite thing.

Facilities are decent with nice warm swimming pool for families and some restaurants and bars (only 1 open now). I had dinner there and food was excellent.

It was fun staying there with families and explore the French Village at night and early morning.

The hotel offered me lovely welcome amenities and flowers as a Platinum member of Accor ALL. Although its not 5 star hotel but i definitely can feel the warm and attentive hospitality service there.

We were at this hotel 2nd of March, 2020. I have arranged booking via booking.com. They were very responsive when you send an enquiry and it was easy to organise for them to pick us up from Danang airport. Pick up service was outside the airport waiting for us. The drive to the check-in point was an easy ride and so glad we arranged for the shuttle service through the hotel. When we got there, hotel check in and Cable tickets (discounted to 450,000.00 VND/person because we booked to stay) was arranged seemlessly (they charge your card extra 1 M VND for just in case and Ive been told I will be refunded a few days after check out) and we took the cable car up to the hills. it was an amazing 20 minute ride! Porter assisted us with our luggages when we got there and we checked-in. As we were early, we left our luggages at the check-in counter and we walked around then had lunch. We went for the house asian buffet. It was nice choices and it was very busy. We were told it actually was not as busy as it normally is due to the current Corona Virus issue.

Sunworld Bana hills is beautiful during the day and magical at night.
Our room was at the HOTEL DE BORDEAUX building. Beautiful room. King bed was massive and sooo comfortable plus great pillows, too. Toilet and shower facilities were great. Separate toilet and shower. Small thing though, there was just a small high window which you can't see the outside from. I didn't realise that would be the case when I booked. Not an issue for us as we were out most of the time.

Definitely worth the overnight stay at the beautiful hotel. Experience sunworld during the day, at night and early hours of the morning. We walked around at night and it was so foggy and made the place so magical. We also went to visit the bridge first thing at 7:00 am and the fog made the walk to the bridge magical.

We wanted Vietnamese meal for dinner and Karlis from reception recommended this restaurant. We expected Vietnamese dish and a live band but we didn't get either. No Vietnamese and no band. To be honest, food wasn't that great. It was just ok. We've had better for the price we paid. Special mention to Annabel who assisted us that night, she was very helpful and even remembered us when we were having breakfast. Thierry was also helpful and assisted as with our luggages when we checked out, Overall a wonderful experience and truly will recommend to stay.

Our family of four stayed for two nights in November and honestly were left disappointed.

But I’ll start with the positives first; the location is incredible and taking the cable car up the mountain is a fantastic experience. The bell staff are lovely, even though they are very under staffed. Fantasy park is great, the kids had a ball and the indoor pool is beautiful.

Unfortunately that is where the positives end. When we got off the cable car at the resort there is no staff to help you find your way to the main hotel building, which was particularly confusing given it was raining and everywhere was covered in fog making our visibility really low. We had to keep asking random people which way to go because there were no signs either! Once we finally got there, there was no explanation of the amenities or facilities of the resort, where to eat breakfast, nothing…just an abrupt “your room is not ready, come back in one hour!”

The rooms, dining areas and toilets are in desperate need of an upgrade, the are very run down! Our deluxe family room was in the building Hotel de Strasbourg away from the main building and it felt as though we were given a room and forgotten about. There were no staff in our building, the floors were constantly wet from the rain outside and there was no one to mop them up or, as in the main building, no heaters to dry them out. On the second day a lady slipped and fell coming through the door! The building also smelled musty, unlike the main building, as if it hadn’t been used in a long time.

The dinner buffet was average. There was not a lot of variety, which was surprising given it was sold as an international buffet? The food that was available was bland and cold. The breakfast buffet was not much better, they did however have hot Pho available and you could get your eggs made fresh which was great. We did have some delicious cakes and a pretty decent latte in one of the cafes you pay extra for just across from the pool.

It seemed to us the hotel were solely focused on the needs of the tour groups who were staying, the rest of us were forgotten about. It also seems as though they are resting in their laurels a lot and relying solely on the location to wow their customers, but service, room quality and food are also an important part of the experience!

I expected so much more from this resort given the prices we paid and we were unfortunately severely let down. We are frequent travelers to Vietnam, we try to visit at least once a year as my husband has family here and we are very loyal to places we have a good experience at, this hotel will not be a place we will stay at again!

Dear Yortagrl, Warmest greetings to Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills! First of all I would like to apology for your first time experience and we appreciate your kind comment about our bellman and location which is unique inspired by French culture like no where else in Asia. After investigation with my team, we have found the reason and this regretful incident. We made a mistake by not picking you up when we got off the cable. Please Note that this is an unexpected incident, as the hotel always strives to provide the best experience from arrival to departure. With regards to F&B this will be raised with the managers concerned as the quality of service and food should be a normal day to day function of the hotel. Yes, with our special location hotel we also have to deal with troubles from the weather. There is no denying that we need to control the smell and water on the floor more carefully. And lastly, please don't misunderstand that there is a difference between a group and a guest because we provide the same service for everyone and hope everyone has a great experience when coming to Mercure Da Nang. Again I would like to apologies for your recent experience and assure you that the incidents occurred are being addressed. Our property is very unique and is a one of a kind in our network, your comments and feedback from our guests that continue to drive continuous improvement and review all aspects of our business. Thank you we hope that you will consider us for your next trip! Best Regards, Hung Nguyen, Guest Experience Manager.

The French Village was amazing despite the rainy weather causing us to miss the Golden Bridge. But guess Mercure hotel which I am a member to (Accor) could have done better.
I booked the hotel in November, so was expecting some price hike which it did. But we were very disappointed that the hotel had been too stringent in not offering the perks for a running promotion for twin room to my family room despite the more expensive room charge.
In addition, we asked for a nice view for our rooms prior to booking, but the hotel did not clarify about the renovation works nor the balcony facing a small street with little to scene to enjoy.
I asked for harder bed due to my back problem and was only given the empty promise that it would be looked into but to disappointment on visiting the room.
Saving grace, the reception staff had been very helpful and Sarah who arranged our booking kindly walked us to the room giving some introduction and explanations.
On checking out, Elenore also helped and led us through the confusing cable car queues in the rainy weather which was very much appreciated by our family.

Dear muncheongl, Warmest greeting from Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills! Thank you for your candid comment about our Hotel during your stay with us. On behalf of Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills Management Team please accept my sincerely apology. We had a chance to served you but i'm sorry that we did not meet your expectation by this time. Regarding to room stay, please kindly understand that we had chose the best available room for VIP guest, specially as an Accor member. As the hotel is build in the style of a French Village, we hope that you can feel the inspire of the small village, peaceful and relaxing, difference from the big city with lights and music. I'I am glad to see that the problem was resolved by the team but feeling your scoring is very tough as the rest seems to be fine overall. Sahra and House Keeping team had made up the bed for your comfortable finally, as a 4 star Hotel, at the moment we have only one choice for the bed, we could look for more option in the near future for the best convenience for guest. Thank you for your empathy for the weather condition which is causing the inconvenience to your trip. I hope that I can convince you to change your mind about another visit to our property. If you would be willing to give us a chance to turn your experience around. It would be such a pleasure to personally welcome you back to our new and improved hotel! There are rooms for family with Balcony. You xan contact the hotel to choose the right one.
Da Nang, Vietnam
From DN Airport, you can use taxi or Grab to travel to BaNa Hills. You can also contact the hotel & book pickup if you prefer. Cable car is opened from 8AM to 5PM - we advise all guests to check-in at TocTien Station (bottom of the mountain) by 4:30PM in order to catch the last cable car & come up to the Hills.
