We stayed at the Southern Hotel and villa for 9 days. We went with the idea that we would stay a few days till be found something in town or by the beach since the hotel is a little out of town, But the Hotel was so wonderful. The town is actually very noisy with all the scooters honking their... More

My friends and I just returned from a wonderful stay in Hoi An and we all agreed that the Southern Hotel and Villa was a great place to stay. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. Some had only limited English but it was easy enough to get your point across. One lady has excellent English and she was... More

Furthermore, rooms were comfortable... More

We have just returned from our trip to Vietnam. During our two weeks there, we had the pleasure of staying at the Phuong Nam Hotel in Hoi An. Because we are adoptive parents, we had come to Hoi An to visit the orphanage where we had adopted our son nine years earlier. We also wanted to travel some seventy kilometers... More

This hotel is NOT "situated in peaceful and quiet place." It's in a dusty construction zone across the street from a bus depot. There are packs of stray dogs wandering around outside. It's not a "05 min walk to the center city and 15 min walk to the beach." It's a 20 minute walk to the center of the city,... More

We arrived from Hanoi on the train to Danang and had the receptionist at our previous hotel confirm hotel booking and arrange a pick up. I had a quick look to see how far it was from the center of town and was a little concerned that the hotel was a bit further out from town. My concerns quickly vanished.... More
