Detailed Reviews
Large room, nice shower but not very clean. Since the floor was quite dirty and uncomfortable to walk on barefoot, I requested that they clean it. A woman came with a damp mop and ran it over the floor. That removed the top layer of dust, but didn’t really clean anything. Too bad, because the grounds and pool were nice. Somewhat worn, but worth the price.

I highly recommend Bamboo Riverside Resort to anyone visiting Hoi An. It's truly a haven of peace and relaxation in this charming city.
Bamboo Riverside Resort offers a range of facilities to cater to every need. Guests can take a refreshing dip in the infinity pool overlooking the river, indulge in a soothing massage at the spa, or enjoy delicious Vietnamese cuisine at the on-site restaurant. The resort also offers complimentary bicycles for guests to explore the surrounding area at their leisure.

We came across this hotel by chance when the one we had confirmed reservations for double booked our room over new year.
So glad we did. It is truly an excellent hotel and great value for money. Rooms are large and beautifully appointed(and immaculately clean), staff incredibly friendly and helpful without being "pushy". The hotel is in almost an oasis of quiet , down a lane right on the water...so no traffic noise ..yet very easy to get into town and the beach, hotel offered a shuttle bus and bikes but the taxis were so cheap we didn't bother. Pool is beautiful and staff picked fresh coconuts off the trees for us to drink.
The breakfast is 5 star hotel standard with the chef cooking requests at the buffet table.
We were invited to the new year BBQ..but as we already had an engagement were given an outstanding meal the following evening of typical Vietnamese food....which was delicious and not the same thing as we would have ordered on our own. Laundry service was also great...clothes returned the same day...
The downstairs rooms all face onto small courtyards, each with a different garden and beautiful planting there is also an original old building on the property that is now a shrine to the owners family which we were privileged enough to be allowed to enter...nothing was too much trouble for the staff here to arrange. It is much more like staying in a friends beautiful home than in a hotel.
The only negative is like in many places we stayed in Vietnam , a lack of shower curtain ...but we mentioned this to the staff and maybe it will be fixed soon....having said that the bath was lovely and plenty of hot water ( and my teenagers were delighted there was a phone by the bath for those important calls you can't miss)
Definitely the place to stay in Hoi An for a sensible price and luxurious time.

I could have dealt with the hard beds, the poor housekeeping, the broken safe, the lack of shower, the airconditioner being turned off when we were out (it was over 40 degrees by late morning most days), the inconvience of being out of town, the no wifi in the rooms, the rude staff, the staff touting at us for their cooking classes etc etc and the unshaded pool.
But.
But the breakfasts were inedible. We ate fantastic food in Vietnam. I didn't have a bad meal. Except for the five morning we ate here.

This hotel is quite close to perfection in terms of value fro money. We got a standard room, it was big, nicely decorated with big bathroom and great beds. The location is perfect 2.5 km to old town and 4km to closest beach (Cua Dai), swimming pool very clean and a very nice and pleasant staff. We were supposed to spend 2 nights there and end up with 3 nights, I rated 4 stars, but could be 5 stars if the hotel improve two main things:
- A la carte breakfast is far away as good as the buffet one - We tried both versions and we were way more satisfied with the buffet (note: we visited the hotel end of high season with not a lot of clients, so to save costs the A la carte breakfats is proposed to guests)
- Minibar is quite empty, having a well filled minibar doesn't cost that much more.
Otherwise very nice and peaceful hotel!

We've been to Hoi'an many times and this is the first place we've come back to for a second stay. (Not that any of the other places were bad, there is just an abundant of fabulous places in Hoi'an, that we kept trying different places). But this place has it all. The rooms are huge, with modern decor, and lovely huge floor to ceiling windows, and French doors to let lots of light and air in. Lovely setting on the riverbank, gorgeous gardens, and grassy palm shaded areas to sit on the sun lounges in, and have a beer or two and watch locals row up and down the river. And a very nice (but very warm in summer) pool.
The air con works very well, and its very very peaceful (though as many other reviewers note, the local Vietnamese tourists can be noisy when they come on the weekend, they like to get up very early and make noise in the pool!). By far the best rooms are one of the two more private ones that look directly onto the river - we spent a whole week in room 304 and loved it! And for us the location is perfect. A 10 minute bike ride to the heart of the old town, or a 10 minute bike ride to the beach at Cua Dai. And tucked away down a pretty lane amongst a residential area, it is very peaceful (no noisy roads). The breakfasts are basic but fine. And the only (small) thing I could point out is that the bathrooms may need some TLC pretty quickly (our one had a shower curtain that was looking a bit dated on the end), but still more than adequate and very clean. The staff have little English, but are very pleasant and treated us like royalty as we were second time visitors. We would stay here again for sure.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary, we loved this beautiful little hotel, lovely large room and bathroom with shower and bath, everything you need is provide, the sweet young staff do not speak much English but that's part of the charm. Lovely relaxing setting by the river, with lovely gardens and water lily pond, tended with so much care, and also a swimming pool to cool down in. We had a really nice time here so glad we chose this hotel. Thank you so much for the beautiful Anniversary cake and rose you gave us, what a lovely surprise. We are back in England now and missing our time in this special place. Thank you for making our wedding anniversary a wonderful memory. Much love Janet & John. xxx

Stayed here for two nights. Location is down an alleyway, but the actual hotel was a pleasant surprise. Nice large room, strong wifi, clean, and a very good breakfast. Pretty gardens. Staff were very friendly.
