Arrived on a late afternoon with porter's help with the luggages and showed me to the reception. The female staff took over the check in process, did not look happy and gave me a real fast and expressionless introduction of the hotel and room, to the point I could not even catch what she said. At that point, I felt all the reviews that I read were untrue. But i decided to give myself more time in the coming days to explore the rest of the hotel team and i'm glad i did.
The next couple of days went well and met the lady again who checked me in one morning and she appeared all smiley and fresh.
Buffet breakfast served with international and local cuisine. The spread was ample, taste and quality were good too especially the local salads. During peak period, table turn around time may be longer and there was a day that a couple of us had to wait for a table but that didnt take long. Indoor seating is cooler than outdoor.
Service staff at breakfast was very attentive but i find it overbearing at some point when each day, they would ask you 4-5 times how are things and could be by the same staff. I think service does not need to be too overly zealous which can make a service looked less professional. Another issue to me is, asking guests for online reviews on the spot. I've seen how their staff went table to table, seeking guests who are having breakfast or chatting away for reviews on the spot and that eventually happened to me. I can safely say that this hotel is good and i believe, even without asking, many guests will write a good review at their own time and will.
Rooms are fine though a bit dated but House keeping dept is excellent in tidying rooms and daily sweeping and mopping of floors which is a standard in Vietnam. Walls between rooms are thin. I could hear next door laughing, chatting and pluggin into sockets. Room has a ceiling fan that keeps the room so cool through the hot day and i didnt have to turn on the air con. The swimming pool is incredible and can get busy in the late afternoon. Very nice pool though. There is a well equipped gym on site too and spa next to it, which i did not get to try. Room service food was delicious and not too expensive. Only grip is they should cover the food during delivery process.
There are bicycles for guests to use for free. Old Town is about 5-10 min walk away. There are 2 cafes nearby the hotel, one is Rigar (next building) and the other is 5 min away, which you can find on google map. If you require laundry, there is one called Mrs Sa about 5 - 8 min wallk away (USD 1 for 1kg). Wifi is good throughout the hotel.
Overall, good hotel with very sincere staff. Price point is not too bad too.

All staff at the hotel are friendly and the rooms are clean. I think I will choose it again if I come to Hoi An again. Highly recommended. The room has an air conditioner and fan, so it is cool and there are no bugs in the room. I brought and installed a separate shower filter, but it was not contaminated at all. If you have a lot of luggage, you may not need to take it.
The hotel itself offers a basket boat tour to Da Nang that includes round-trip transportation at a reasonable price, so we recommend using the hotel program rather than going out and bargaining on site.

Beautiful Rivertown Resort! Still my favourite hotel not just in Vietnam but possibly the world. We last stayed just before covid and its taken this long to get back but so worth the wait - its lovelier than ever. We stayed in a room overlooking the river with an enormous balcony. It was absolutely fascinating watching the world go by, the various boats with the wise eyes, the clouds of white birds flying out to the paddy fields in the morning and returning in the evening. The clanky metal bridge did not bother us at all it becomes almost silent over night.
Rivertown is set just out of the hectic old town on the end of the little island but its a very easy short walk into the town or the night markets and I highly recommend exploring the back streets and alley ways around the hotel. The hotel itself is set in huge gorgeous gardens with an absolutely stunning enormous pool. And there are plenty of lounges to go around! Loved the spa and the 2 treatments we had there, breakfast outstanding, changed daily and the best we had in Vietnam. We took bikes a couple of days and they were great.
Finally, and I think Rivertown is famous for this, the staff are just so friendly, genuine and amazing. Its abit like going to stay at an elegant Vietnamese friend's wonderful house. Special mention to lovely Miss Tram who welcomed us, provided great tips on where to go and what to do and answered my thorny horticultural question in minutes. Nothing is too much trouble. Also young Duong who so quietly and efficiently every afternoon made sure people at the pool were taken care at for happy hour and with a beautiful smile! Thank you Sir. And finally Huong and her team who made sure our rooms were always made up beautifully with clean sheets and towels EVERY day and made it a pleasure to come back home - even when we left our do not disturb sign on accidentally they came in late unasked and fixed everything up.
This is such an exceptional hotel with so much charm, beauty and character. Cannot wait till we can go back and cannot recommend highly enough. Perfection.

A beautiful affordable hotel within easy walking distance to Hoi An night market and Old Town. We stayed in a Grand Deluxe Pool and River view room with balcony. The room was clean with comfortable bed and an awesome shower albeit a little bit dated. The rooms are in the process of refurbishment but overall a very comfortable stay. The service is impeccable with no request too big or small. The hotel does offer laundry service either via the hotel itself or by outside laundry service which is much cheaper. The included breakfast caters well for all tastebuds in a relaxing environment either inside or outside on the deck of its second pool. The main pool is at the front of the property with beautiful gardens with many lanterns. Pool lounges, umbrellas, cabanas and bar service around the pool. There is a spa service which looked incredible but we didn't try it. A beautiful hotel and stay in Hoi An I would definitely recommend.

Rest time everything was perfect The pool was also so clean and it was very nice to have a beer or wine. The bed was spacious enough to accommodate three or more people, the bathroom was spacious and the room condition was very good. A buffet breakfast was served from the entrance service to the end and the food was also very satisfying Even when you go to Old Town or the night market, it is also an advantage to be able to reach with a bike rental. The swimming pool is really nice, and it's only 15 minutes away from the Old Market, but it's a great place to take a walk in the cool evenings!
I stayed for two consecutive nights, and when I left on the second day, it was thoroughly cleaned and they provided 6 bottles of service water for 3 people*2.
The breakfast had a variety and was very delicious. Every time I leave the accommodation, the staff at the entrance always smile and greet me.

It's a place that fits well with the old town. I didn't know it was this close to Old Town, but the location was great for getting around, and the breakfast was delicious. Perhaps because they said they wanted a quiet room, they stayed quietly for two days. Communication was easy and the atmosphere was great especially at night. The rooms are clean and the interior is neat. The swimming pool is separated into an adult pool and a kids pool so there is no disruption. It was a place I really liked. I think riding a bike for a spin would also be a good memory. It was nice that there was provision for yoga in the gym.

First of all, our welcome to the hotel was warm and effortless. We arrived early so our bags were taken to storage and we enjoyed the poolside while we waited. We were later shown to our rooms and the bellboy was close behind with our bags. Our room was stunning, the view was amazing to wake up to every day and the facilities within the room were also brilliant. I particularly loved the shower and bath. My partner loved the bed and the pillows. The location is serene and scenic, a short walk away to the action yet far away enough to enjoy the quiet. The rooms are also fitted with top class sound proofed balcony doors so you can be assured to have a sound sleep.
The pool is great, and there are ample loungers to choose from. For those concerned, there is an adult only pool and a separate pool for those with children.
The breakfast buffet is good, and the restaurant was great. My partner has atypical diet requirements due to a health condition, and for both breakfast and dinner the wait staff and the chefs were more than happy to accommodate requests and produce off-the-menu dishes which were cooked to high standard. I have to thank Tram, the waitress, in particular. Despite the restaurant being particularly busy that evening, at no point did we feel ill attended. Moreover, she was exceptionally understanding of the personal requests.
Overall, I need to pass my thanks onto all staff faculties. The reception staff remembered who you were, your room and at times even our names. The bellboys were swift and left no room for wanting. The waiters and waitresses were kind and attentive- especially in the evenings when they were kind to supply mosquito spray when dining al fresco. Thanks to the cleaners, the hotel was always spotless and the well maintained. And to any faculties who work behind the scenes to ensure everything runs as smoothly as it all does.
We had a fantastic stay, and we’d love to stay again.
