We stayed here for one (cold) night in June. It is very central, only a couple of blocks from the ferry port and next to the old town. The 8 bed dorm was big and spacious, though cold in winter, as were the common areas. The shared bathrooms were on the courtyard which meant going outside to go to the... More

We stayed there for 2 nights. The staff were not really friendly. The showers and toilets almost clean BUT the breakfast was basic and the baguette some of them old and from the day before. The useable kitchen is basic equipped. We hadn't had problems with bed bugs. We slept in the second room upstairs which was okay with air-co.... More

Pros: Good location, right in centre of Colonia. Dorm I was in had air con (although is controlled by owners, so is only on or off when they choose). One shower I used was hot and good pressure. Got free towels, changed each day. And they made your bed each day. Cheap. Cons: Not enough bathrooms, really hard to get... More

Stayed for one night and came back for another two a few days latter. Nice place with good vibes. Seems like it´s owned by a family that lives there. Breakfast is simple and organized well (toest, butter, jelly, cofe, chocolate milk). Price was resonable and includes a towel and a bar of soap. The rooms are clean, organized and have... More

I slept in dormitory but private accommodation is available as well. All guests receive identical courteous treatment; meals are in restaurant space or outdoor patio. Kitchen facilities are available for guest use and staff ladies shine and polish every minute, sweep up every dried leaf the minute it falls; maintenance is nonstop and impeccable.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable enough and there's enough (and clean) bathrooms for everyone. The breakfast is included, a bit basic, but nice. There's plenty of common spaces, both inside and outside, and because there isn't much to do in Colonia on a night most people stay in and you can really... More

As always when it comes to a hostel the location, the staff and the price either make it or break it. This hostel provided excellent service for a low price and the owner is amazingly hospitable. She let me store my bag, use the kitchen and the showers again and tended to my request to change room in the middle... More

We stayed for three nights in the cramped (but cheaper) 6-person dorm (310 pesos per person/per night). This hostel is one of the closest to the bus station and, given its price, is always going to be a decent option. However, they need to improve their lockers in some dorms (ours were very flimsy and insecure) and the breakfast offering... More

The kitchen is really good and the wifi works fairly well. There is a large amount of common area space. The rooms are basic and rustic - I've stayed in much better. But I've also stayed in worse; I don't expect luxury in hostels. Location is really good - just a couple of blocks from the ferry and bus terminals... More

This is a lovely little hostel a few blocks away from the ferry and bus terminals, a large supermarket, the water and the restaurants. It was also the cheaper we could find in the centre. The hostel itself is charming, with a decent kitchen (although lacking chopping knives), Showers are hot and powerful, beds are comfy and Breakfast is free:... More
