Was here as part of a Buquebus package. Had heard that the hotel was fantastic. It did not live up to that. The room on the 6th floor was spacious with a double and a single bed (despite requesting a double bed). No coffee machine nor microwave nor fridge in room. The outdoor pool was very nice, though a very... More

My girlfriend and I travel often to Colonia / Uruguay, because we are changing dollars in Colonia once in a while. We are living In Buenos-Aires and right now its not possible to change dollars in Argentina. If you want to stay for one night or a couple of nights in a hotel, you can choose "Hotel Sheraton","Hotel Radisson", or... More

Good hotel, a bit old in it's structure, but has great views on the top floors. Location is very good as you can reach Colonia downtown walking a few minutes. Service is very good and breakfast is very nice.

We arrived January 1 at 2:30 PM for a one night stay. We were told our room wasn't ready, people were still in it and that at 6 PM we could check in. We returned at 7 PM and were told the room was still not ready. At 8:30 PM we got into our room. I had reserved a triple... More

Excellent hotel. Very classical, with an incredible restaurant and an outstanding service. People are very warm and nice, compared to other hotels nearby in the region. Definetely recommend it. The owner is a very kind person. I left with a great image and will definetely be back.

The Hotel El Mirador was, at one time, the only quality hotel in Colonia. I actually lived here for a few months many years ago. Since then some big chain hotels have been built in the area but El Mirador is still one of the top spots to go. The food is second to none; a true culinary treat. The... More

The hotel is good on average, the building seems to be a bit old, but the view is amazing and it is well conserved and maintained. I think this is a good 3 stars, but not 4. The hotel personnel is kind, and as Colonia is a small city you can know in detail in two days, the hotel is... More

We ended up staying here, not by choice, but by accident. We found the rooms to be quaint, and bohemian. The staff and management and the cafe was fantastic and a great deal. We could not eat that much, Gotta stay there!!

Stayed one night. Close to port. Clean and comfortable. Service was polite. Wireless is free and works in rooms but strength depends on location--it worked if I sat near the door. Restaurant buffet has a wide selection of choices including a great salad bar for dinner. Breakfast is free and is also plentiful. Many pieces of the equipment in fitness... More
