A smart, neat hotel on the outskirts of RAK city. Reception staff very friendly, rooms & amenities are lovely. Conveniently located a few minutes drive from RAK Mall. The only downsides are: 1) the distance to the beach is a bit long, 2) proximity to a major road which makes the place a bit noisy. Value for money hotel.

Supposed to be a hotel reserved for the half marathon of RAK participants (hotel was listed in the participants booklet), we were more than surprised to discover that the club and the bar were open until very late. Bumping sounds through all night are not really pleasant when you start at 5am for a half marathon... The price was 4x...

Booked this hotel last minute, most hotels in the area are full. Upon check in, was informed that we have been given a room in the family floor and a quiet one. It was the exact opposite, noises can be heard from outside, hallways and from the other rooms. Didn't try any restaurants except for the breakfast which was OK...

The room was noisy with the noise coming from the Bar that runs around until 3-4 am I think. We were just so tired to complain about it and even though they have mentioned that it will be a quiet room it certainly is not! 1 bottle of water for 2 persons is not enough Housekeeping tried to inform me...

We stayed a night at the City Hotel before a family hiking trip in RAK. We booked a suite so we could sleep with three adults. Reception staff was professional, friendly and efficient and we were given a non-smoking suite on the 5th floor. Bathroom, beds etc. were clean, although the place has seen better years. Everything was fine for...

Our recent stay in City Hotel was a bad experience. There was only one towel for the 4 of us and the complimentary tea/coffee was 1 packet each. No toilet roll in all the toilets! We were given our towels and toilet paper when we asked for it. The snapping point was during breakfast. The lady at the breakfast area...

Hotel room was very small. It was not a family hotel. Clubs and pubs were on the ground floor. We have asked that there should not be a mini bar in room but they dont bother. Room was not sound proof. Any one walk outside sounds come in the room. Not recomended for a family.
