arrived at hotel found out i had booked for following week, no problem but had to book a suite in stead of regular room, price is still reasonable. front desk staff spoke English very well. room (suite) had been refurbished, all new bathroom fixtures, good linen and furniture. small mini bar fridge and coffee maker. television had one English language news channel DW. Restaurant was excellent food for the included breakfast and one dinner and one lunch. menu is russian and English. Nice location on main street but not center but can walk to center square in 10-15 minutes. only issue i had was the terrible wi fi reception. If i stood in the hall way outside my room wifi reception was full strength on my lap top, but move 20 feet inside my room and close the door and reception was essentially non existent. I mentioned to the front desk every morning and they said it was working fine. if they could improve the wifi I would rate this hotel at 5 stars. so I hope they can improve this situation in the future.…
Hotel is clean however dated. The breakfast was good. However by Thursday they were out of bottled water without carbonation (you can’t drink tap water here) they ran out of to go cups for coffee. Overall the stay was satisfactory however they speak minimal English if you are an English only speaking guest. It’s a three star hotel at best. No gym facilities here either.
Stayed for one night on business. Hotel is easily reached from the train station and looks immediately quite striking from the lobby - décor is very grand & traditional: lots of murals & gold leaf, and there's even a white baby grand piano in the restaurant. Staff are friendly & professional - the grand décor continues to the upstairs corridors and the rooms, which are well equipped with mini-bar, safe, comfortable bed and Wi-Fi. Breakfast is served in the restaurant off the lobby. I was asked to order this at check-in, and also advise the time I would come down for breakfast too, which is a little unusual, but worked well, as I was leaving early to catch a train. Like many of the other smaller cities in Ukraine - the value for money was superb. Hard to believe that hotels like this can charge such reasonable rates.…
booked into Aleya granda for one night business trip. initial impressions room was cold, it was -5 outside .heating was on but inadequate as the room or suite was very large. suite comprised large emperor bed in large opulent bedroom, large lounge with 3 piece suite and large TV.large bathroom with shower and large bath. Well appointed and clean. Heating situation resolved by the hotel installing electric radiator. After an hour room was ok but lounge area still cold. Had evening meal in the bar area. very good and drinks prices reasonable. Staff spoke English and were courteous and helpful. Not much in the vicinity of the hotel but taxis are cheap and plentiful. Good hotel and reasonable.
This is a nice hotel with a small restaurant, and a generally empty bar downstairs.I didn't take a picture of it. It has a small entry and lobby and about 6 floors. I was on the top and had a view of the city but, frankly, it wasn't worth taking a photo. The room was big and spacious, a comfortable bed, and the bathroom is modern and clean. It seemed to me that there was more emphasis on the decorations in the Hallways, than in the rooms, but what can you do? Their breakfast program seems unique in that you choose from several selections the day before and give a time, and when you arrive your meal is made. Kinda like "No variations allowed!?" Over all, I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again. Check out the pictures! It's location is in City Center for the most part, so you can map out a plan fairly easily.…
