If you are visiting Cappadocia i would recommend Uchisar instead of Goreme to avoid the hustle and bustle.
I stayed there for 03 nights with 12 members of my family. The hotel is next to uchisar castle and the panoramic view from the wooden & stone walled terrace is peaceful and tranquil. Really loved by the overwhelming response and hospitality shown by the staff, Manager Ms. Amel and owner Mr. Abdullah right from our check-in till our departure. Really appreciate "like at home" comfortable experience. We stayed at the underground rock carved cave rooms which were quite earthly but equipped with all the modern amenities. Bathrooms were quite modern. Breakfast was mouthwatering there was Turkish Omelette Menemen which is a traditional Turkish dish includes eggs, tomato, green peppers, and spices. Variety of fresh fruits, olives, homemade cheese, jams, butter, honey and turkish kahwa. Unlimited freshly squeezed orange juice, kahwa and fruit sponge cake were free of charge. The self serviced 24 hrs open onsite Turkish Hammam room was spotlessly pure with neat towels, soaps, gowns, drinking water at no extra cost was a real treat. You can also watch hot air baloon float pass through the valley from the hotel terrace without even going to one of the view point. Would highly recommend anyone visiting cappadocia. Thank You to the friendly owner and the cooperative staff at Kale Konak for a memorable stay.

We had a three night stay in Cappadocia and could not decide between being based on Uchisar or Goreme...so we chose not to decide! We stayed in both places.
The Kale Konak has a commanding view of the valley and surroundings near Uchisar Castle. Our hostess Emel was in excellent touch with us. Our room was spacious and beautiful. After our balloon ride, they had a sumptuous Turkish breakfast waiting for us. It was a feast of breads, eggs, veggies, cheeses, dips and drinks. No needful such that day!
We were there during COVID, so I am not sure if the room pricing reflected a lower emend or not. But, the price was an amazing value and it is easy to recommend the hotel.
Emel was nice enough to solicit a neighboring restaurant to accomodate our late night arrival. We had a small glitch with the airport transfer that turned out to be an issue with booking.com, not Emel. However, she expressed deep concern and was eager to try and understand how to resolve. We appreciated her effort, again considering that it was not her fault at all.
The scene in Goreme is more touristic and lively, so I am glad we decided to try both and appreciate the uniqueness of Uchisar and Goreme.

My husband and I stay stayed here for 3 nights in the first week of January. We were upgraded to the suite which was amazing!
The view from this hotel is incomparable to anything else we have seen. Great location, easy to walk around. The highlights of our stay were definitely the amazing Turkish breakfast served every morning and the most warm and helpful staff members and owners of the hotel. The little pets roaming around were a wonderful cherry on top :)
Kale Konak added magic to our trip to Turkey. A place we will hold fondly in our memories.

It It was a great and an unique experience to put up at Kale konak. It felt like living in the caves and the rooms and the rustic furniture matched well to live up with the ancient history of Cappadoccia. .
We were warmly welcomed by Emel Kanik manager of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent with lots of variety and personally prepared by Emel. L0oved the presentation and how perfectly it was served. We had free access to the traditional hammam on prior reservation. The hotel team was very helpful and friendly. Mustafa Taheri, the night shift receptionist is extremely efficient and eager to help.

The hotel is just below the üschar Castle
We came here 4 yrs ago to do a balloon flight and stayed in one of the fabulous cave rooms and loved it. We came back and have not been disappointed
We have voted our breakfast as the best in Europe it’s true you can’t order or go to a Buffett but what they give you is wonderful home cooked jams fresh bread s and fresh small doughnuts a local delicacy cooked for you as well a traditional cheeses tomatoes etc
The service is brilliant and always with a smile
This time we are in one of the balcony rooms and not a cave it’s smaller and wooden floors but has charm and wonderful views. It’s hard to leave the outdoor seating area the views are spectacular

Second time in Uçhisar, also second in Kale Konak, this cosy hotel with a breath-taking view never ceases to amaze.
The staff is friendly and warm. They not only serve with excellence, but they also provide insight on nearby restaurants, places to visit or even baloon tours. Emel Hanım is a jevel and Abdullah Bey is a role-model.
The hotel provides a beautifull hamam experience, where you can reserve the premise for yourself. Breakfast is excellent, but afternoon drink in the pretty little garden has no match.

A unique and historical building perched up on the hilltop next to the the iconic castle. The views from the breakfast room and walled garden are simply stunning. We watched the balloons each morning floating up pigeon valley from our birds-eye panoramic viewpoint. We used the hotel as a base and drove our hired car around the amazing, historical and natural attractions of this fascinating area. The hotel owner and all the staff were always warm, friendly and helpful. Our breakfast was brought to our table in pretty glass dishes and ceramics and always delicious and plentiful - especially the home-made jams. I recommend this hotel for anyone who enjoys a laid back relaxing time in a particularly unusual setting.

The comfort level of your stay would substantially change depending on which room you get. Make sure you ask the room features while you are reserving. If it’s one of the basement rooms, be ready for a lot of humidity and the smell of it (no ACs in rooms - except one or two perhaps). Regardless, the rooms are not well maintained, sinks are clogged, light bulbs are broken and not changed, towels are torn, cupboards are dusty like they are not cleaned for a few weeks. Breakfast is not a buffet or you cannot choose from a menu, you eat whatever is prepared as breakfast. But it’s tasty. If you go by car, you can park by the entrance. Not a kids hotel as there’s nothing for them.

The hotel is located right next to the Uchisar castle with incredible views of the surrounding valleys. From just outside the hotel I watched in awe as hundreds of balloons took off at dawn. When we visited Uchisar was peaceful and not overrun with tourists. The hotel has a great relaxed vibe, bedrooms are cut into the rock and are comfortable and cool. There is a pretty internal courtyard. Breakfasts were fabulous, traditional Turkish foods beautifully presented. We will be back.

Fantastic location in Ushigar opposite the castle. Very peaceful considering we were so close to the busy tourist area. I struggled to find the hotel accurately on google maps beforehand as the road to the hotel is closed to normal traffic. We were allowed through but still had problems getting into the hotel.. all the doors were closed, but there was a bell! I think that is partly to keep the hotel quiet. A boutique cave hotel - wow - our room, a superior, was huge and very comfortable but no natural light apart from the 'chimney'. No AC but a large fan and the room temperature was fine. Lots of local soft furnishings and plenty of water. We explored the underground stairs and corridors in the hotel and ended up coming up on the other side of a road. A bizarre experience but good. The public areas were as good as they could be, very quiet and fairly basic, but in character. The small garden had an amazing view over a plain to the mountains beyond. The hotel doesn't do dinner, but we found 2 great restaurants (using TA). Breakfast was traditional turkish but with individual hot extras which varied every day and probably the best we had in our 6 hotel holiday. The home made lemonade was amazing as well. Staff were friendly and efficient.

You will not have any regrets if you stay at this hotel. We stayed at a "cave" room and loved it! Contact Abdullah and he will make sure your stay will be unforgettable! Enjoy!
Boa viagem!
