We stayed here the first and last night of our trip to Camyuva, late check in/early check out was no problem at all. Friendly staff, rooms are small but clean with airconditioning, TV, hairdryer etc, breakfast simple but absolutely sufficient. Hot water didn't work the last night but otherwise all was well! Recommended and would book again

Great location, clean rooms. Friendly, but English-shy staff. For your money you'll want a better breakfast than you'll get: instant coffee, cheap sausages, processed cheese, as well as feta, olives and a good omelette. The setting includes a charming little garden with a bunch of cute cats that will let you feed them the sausages. Free refills on Turkish tea.

Looking forward to returning here in June. Stayed last November, lovely staff, clean rooms, full of character, situated in the old town. It is walking distance to the shops, bars and restaurants, and the park and harbour. Breakfast was a typical Turkish breakfast, in the pretty courtyard. Very central, but no noise when we were there last.

Candles House is situated a short distance from Hadrians gate, it's a perfect location if you want to go shopping or stroll down to the harbour. the hotel itself is clean, we had a downstairs room which was large and looked out on to the courtyard garden, also a very nice shower room. We stayed from 15 till 25 August 2014 and we had excellent stay. The owners (Houssein, Emal and their mother) are very freindly. The rooms are very clean. The emplacement is ideal (in the old city and not far from the beach). Besides, there are some airport shuttles near by. We left our important stuff (passport, moneny...etc) in the room....

I spent about a week in this hotel in August 2014. Everything was perfect. I travelled with a friend. The room was really clean in perfect Ottoman style, such as the reception, very nice and cosy. The owners were very kind with us, we felt like we were at home, everyone was nice and it was funny to talk with...

I usually don't like to write reviews, but when I do....it's place that I want to go again. This place was great. I traveled around turkey and greece for about a month, and this place was the best. I traveled with my friend (we're college students) and the owner was really nice. Although he couldn't speak English, but he suited...

Comfortable accommodation just inside the walls of old town Kaleici. Very easy to find and very close to the main city and transport links (tram). Host was welcoming and obliging despite language difficulties - this highlighted the arrogance of we English speaking nations expecting everyone else to be able to communicate with us !! Good breakfast served in a lovely...

Quiet, comfortable bed, and clean. Small room overlooking city wall. Both windows in our room looked out over trees. Taxi driver had trouble finding it. Directions: Ask to be dropped off at Hadrians Gate. Walk down through the gate, take first lane on the left and Candles is at the end. About 50m only from the Gate. More difficult to...

Advantages and disadvantages The pansion is very close to the Hadrian's Gate, we found it very quickly. Very quiet place, no noisy neighbor cafes. If the windows of your room are from garden side, you'll not hear the morning prayer (a mosque located near Handrian Gates). Cute design of the small hotel, just 5 rooms. Our room was on the...

“Very clean. The staff don't speak English (like the majority of people in Turkey) but they have some translator application thanks to which we could communicate. RECOMMEDED :-)”
