It’s quite far from airport, on the other side of airport vicinity do after having ridden about 5km , I stay on the room on ground floor with view of pool, the window cane looked thtilough do need blackout curtain. Room facilities are ok for stay with comforts, including electric kettle, hairdryer, small fridge, cloth closet, flatscreenedTV , highspeed wifi , instant coffee; one disadvantage is slippery floor, too high waterpower showerso the floor wet easily. Plenty of power oulets and USB ports for charging. Breakfast is served st the bar and restuarant at front buiding with eide selections of food. One plus is free shuttle from hotel to the airport, just inform tge front desk in advance.

I am a regular visitor to Udon Thani . I tried two other hotels closer to town before finding the President. Get off the bus outside Udon University (you'll know where as student types get off here also) and catch a tuk-tuk to Hotel President.
One of the best things is the breakfast which is included in the room price. Saw people collecting breakfast tickets but I just give my room number and go in. Thai and American breakfast with eggs cooked fresh when you order. Fresh orange juice, coffee, toast cereal etc.
Rooms are comfortable and quiet, A/C works, showers are good except for no hot water in the bathroom sink (can't have everything!)
I would like to see coffee making facilities in the rooms but there is hot water available from the restaurant or room service - after all, we ARE in Thailand.
Restaurant food is very cheap and very good. Room service is friendly and relatively fast and just a little more than restaurant prices.
There is entertainment in the restaurant every night; a friendly atmosphere.
The swimming pool is always well maintained and a pleasant place for afternoon drinks or evening meal.
There are some small English/Thai translation problems but the staff at reception speak English and try their best to be helpful.
There is a free van to take you into Udon but a small tip for the driver ensures future good service. I assume they would also pickup/drop off from the airport.
Udon Thani airport is just over the 'back fence' but airport noise is not a problem. Nice to watch the planes take off and land from upstairs windows in the corridor.
I have visited here regularly and have noticed the owners/staff working hard to keep their clients happy.
I feel all here are trying to improve on customer service/satisfaction.
No night life close by, rooms are quiet and clean, staff is friendly and helpful, restaurant is cheap with expansive menu.
The outside phone has worked fine and the free wi-fi internet is excellent; a MUST for my line of work.
I recommend this hotel for a few days relaxing. Overall I am a very happy customer and see no need to stay elsewhere when I visit Udon Thani.

I have stayed at this hotel for a several times. The hotel has a very good service. The room has all the basic things like shampoo, soap, towel. The internet is acceptable and the speed is dependent on the number of users (get slower in the night time). The breakfast is great and they also offer the mini-croissant and friend egg in the pan (the local breakfast). You might hear the plane taking off sometimes as it is very close to the runway (but not disturbing you during the night time).

The hotel is situated about 15 minutes by tuk-tuk from the centre of Udon Thani. Good size, no frills room (Junior Suite). Excellent value, piping hot food served by the single restaurant. Free transfer provided to the airport about 10 minutes away. Unfortunately the good news ends there.

There was no external telephone line during our stay; the one call we needed to make was completed on a member of staff's mobile 'phone. No hot water at the bathroom sink, the tap was loose and the plug did not seal. It was impossible to obtain a constant water temperature in the shower. No hotel instruction/information manual in the room and consequently no instructions on how to use the room safe, the reset key to which was held under the sole control of the bell boy. From our perpsective this made the safe completely insecure.

Our room was situated next to a staff closet which was treated like a common room, where food was eaten and staff chatted/laughed noisily, all of which could be heard plainly within our room. On one occasion staff children were running riot in the corridoors banging on bedroom doors.

In the restaurant we witnessed male waiters putting on their ties and female staff putting on their make-up. Staff routinely fooled about with each other in public areas.

This could be a good hotel but staff have clearly not been trained on how to behave. We were happy to leave after 4 days and will not be returning. I would not recommend to any overseas traveller.

We stayed here for a night having stayed in many hotels , guest rooms around Udon over the years this offers good value for money for a nice clean friendly hotel i would recommend this hotel it is a short distance by car/motorcycle to the main areas around central plaza, but it was nice and not busy where the hotel is situated ,also very useful if your flying in or out of Udon .The staff were friendly and helpful .It also has a nice well kept pool to relax by and the restaurant i found to have good reasonably priced food (delivered to your room if needed ).The inclusive breakfast we had is pretty much the same as most hotels in Thailand hot dogs, ham omelettes, cereal sort of thing .Next time im in Udon i shall be staying here

Clean room, not far from airport, free shuttle from hotel, cheap price.

They should fix their information from website that google map shows their hotel only 650m distance from Udonthani airport which in real is about 5mins by car.

Great value hotel located away from the city area which is its only issue. room was very clean and comfortable, pool area was great and meals in the hotel are good value. staff service is prompt and the staff are reasonably friendly although english of o couple of them was not great but my thai is not great either so have no major issue nut it did cause a couple of minor misunderstandings. For the low rates of this hotel it provided great value. the only problems anyone should have with this hotel is that a few times most days thai air force fighter jets fly low and fast overhead and they are very loud otherwise the area is quiet

I spent 1 night at President Hotel before moving to my home town. The hotel is located at the quiet corner of the UD Town and about 7 minutes from the airport. The points that make me write this review are :
* Very professional Manager (Khun Nikky), she present herself to welcome
and recommend some interesting place in Udorn Town
* Very reasonable price
* Quiet area with big space of car park.
* Warm welcome from Manager through receptionist, restaurant staff, bel boy & driver
* Room very clean
* Free Wifi and very strong signal
* The pub in the hotel is good place to enjoy music and drinks.
Karaoke is provided if you want to join. And they close a blittle bit late.
* Food is good and reasonable price (especialy snack with alcohol)
* Very honest staff, I forget my I Phone till next day in the restaurant, once I am check out,
my I phone is prepared at Reception. Very impress.
* Bedsheet, towel and other linen is very clean and in new condition.
* Free shuttle bus to certain area in Udorn Town, bus terminal ect

I do not expect any wow and sevice for this kind of rate and name of the hotel. But as soon as I step in till checking out, I am highly recommned this hotel for any travellor. It is value for money.
And the most appreciated is during the driver send me to the bus terminal, and I feel that I forget a bag in the room. And the driver show his helpful without hessitation to turn his car and take me back to get my thing in the hotel. I feel very comfortable with his helpful and service. I want to pass the messages to the owner & manager of the hotel to be proud with the staff you have. They are Honestly & Helpful to the customer. Thanks again for President Hotel staff. I will come back to stay again for sure.

PS. if you have time, I would recommend "Wine Society " in the UD town. It is best & top quality restaurant with 5 stars Chef & varieties of wine selection. I am not believe that this city has a kind of 5 stars restaurant & food.

Firstly location, on the outskirts of the town but not more than 1 - 1 and a half miles to the town centre. Tuk tuk charges 100 baht which works out at about UK taxi rates ! 12 miles in Bangkok city taxi 200 baht, Udon tuk tuk 1 mile 100 baht. Not impressed.
Hotel is clean and modern but unfortunatly the night we stayed there was a party with a live band in the function room so sleep was impossible until after midnight, i would strongly suggest getting a room as far away from reception as possible.
I was sad to find the reception staff were having an "off" day and we did not get the usual smiling warm reception we have been used to at all other Thai hotels we have stayed at. On the morning of our departure when i asked if there was any possibility of delaying our checkout for 2 hours because of a late flight time the receptionist got very angry for some reason almost snarling, "Checkout is at 2pm !!!! " A simple sorry sir, we are not able to change our rules, or even I will check with my manager sir but i think he will not allow it, would have been better.
Our room was fine, we stayed in a senior suite at almost 2000 baht for the night, but our stay was not one i would be willing to repeat due to the reasons I have stated.
However on a brighter note, the breakfast was exceptional, with a large and varied selection on offer. Well done to the President for that !

We were arriving quite late from the airport and stayed in President Hotel for a night.
The rooms are spacious, staff is friendly.

Location is in the outskirts of Udon Thani, convienient close to the airport, but the neighbourhood of the hotel is not nice.

If you are looking for some entertainment or want to eat elswhere, you definitly have to take a tuktuk to the city-center. The soi's in the area of the hotel are not inviting to take a stroll in the dark.

The roomrates and foodprices are on 'Ísan-level" which means: very cheap !

President Hotel is a good deal if you need to be in the vincinity of the airport, otherwise I would prefer a better located hotel in Udon Thani.
