Took a bit of a chance on this one, but were pleasantly surprised.
The resort has a large entrance and it's clear that the main focus is the restaurant: an interesting foresty-themed place that can cater to very large numbers. Good selection of seafood (and an international menu), which is relatively pricey.

The resort itself has very well-maintained gardens and water features around. Rooms are a very good size; again, very clean, and can easily accommodate a small family. The only small quibble here is that because they have made it very 'wooden', the thick doors aren't very easy for small ones and can make the rooms very dark. They do, however, overlook the lake: very relaxing and peaceful.

A fairly new feature is the pool (pictured) which is fun to explore. Do heed some caution here though, as well-known, local (lack of) attention to safety means that some care is needed climbing the rocks and the slides are faster than they look! Our confident 7-yr-old swimmer really enjoyed it though. Guests can also take one of the swan pedalos out on the lake too (which is right next to the pool area).

The resort is clearly catering more to a Thai market: a lack of English and a breakfast that is not as varied as many resorts (fine for basic cereals, toast, omelets). All-in-all though, this is a tranquil resort that provides a good escape from Bangkok.

We spent 3 nights in that resort and really enjoyed the beautiful swimming pool and clean garden. Very quiet resort.
The bedrooms (bigs)are like on the pictures, with big beds or 2 singles plus an extra bed possible on a sofa and 1 extra matress on the floor (if 2 kids).
The beds are a bit hard but it's normal in Thailand. The breakfast is ok, omelet, bread, cereals and fruits.
They have a Coffee shop at the entrance and a spa. They can receive groups because they have bigs rooms to make party.
The only negative thing is that none of the staff speak english as the customers are essentially Thais.

This hotel is purely targeted for Thai People. No English Speaking People on this resort. Rooms are much to be desired. I would question the star rating of this Hotel to perhaps a 1 star. The toilet was leaking, bath was full of dirty water, air conditioner did not work. Check in and Check out was a debacle. They did not know what room belonged to who. It was an absolute circus. The restaurant was fine if you loved, serpent head or ostrich guts in herbs, most of our group got food poising here. It was beyond terrible. TV was only Thai, everything in the room and resort was written in Thai. The bed were like sleeping on a concert floor. Extremely overpriced and over rated. Huge disappointment.

We booked this hotel based upon its location and was pleasantly surprised. However we stayed in November which may not have been their main holiday season as the room we booked was not ready, in fact it seemed to be still under contraction. The team there didn't really speak English, so with hand signals and our limited Thai we managed to agree a move and agreed a better price. The rooms were clean, unusual and comfortable. Unusual only in terms of their jungle theme, which was novel. We did get bitten quite a bit in the night by mosquitos, so a good spray before we headed out each evening seemed to do the job. The restaurant is very popular with 6 or 7 coaches turning up every day packed with locals from Bangkok to eat lunch and head back again, which means if you book a massage anytime from 10am til around 2pm, your relaxing spa experience will be spoilt by the smell of bus engines and thumping music. Our lady went out several times asking them to turn the engines off, only to be waved away. The spa looks like it's buried deep in the jungle, but it actually just backs onto the coach car park. This resort is overall good, but you do need to take a chill pill to get the most out of this experience.

Just back from Tamnanpar resort, stayed 1 night in Lake View room. Its about 2.15 drive from bangkok. Its away from rayong about 10KM. Beautiful and huge property setup in Jungle Theme. The plus point is the Water park, kids will enjoy. They have 1 big slider for adults and 3 other for small kids.Separate pool for kids. Lake view rooms where we stayed ( 3 adults and 2 kids) were inclusive breakfast (Standard ABF and Thai breakfast). Rooms were very large ( specially the toilet.. never seen such a big toilet in my life..). No Wifi anywhere in the resort. Food quality was good. They have a very huge restaurant always busy with big tour groups. Will go again there just for kids and to just relax if they had internet connection. Beach is just about 10 km drive from the resort. Can spend evenings there having some drinks and thai food.
This resort has a very good coffee shop, give a try. Overall good and relaxing stay.

Stayed for three nights. The accommodation was good but alittle dated. The activities at the resort are mostly for children. The restaurant was ok and not to expensive. the staff were not very freindly and not many spoke Enghish, but overall our stay was ok

But not if you are visiting with friends.

The resort has many activities for children but sadly none for adults. Hotel restaurant food was just plain bad, we only ate lunch however so they might put more effort into dinner?

It feels like the whole place is in need of renovation, it lives on old merits. The only reason I don't give a 1 is because of the staff that was very friendly and helpful.

We only visit the water park and it look every good but the children got burned after 3 hours. We upgraded our tickets to visit also the water ballon section. I have to admit it was a disappointment. Many balloons was old and broken the water was very dirty and didn't sell good.
The food and drinks are very expensive and not worth it at all. If you have a alternative try it first.
The only reason for 2 points is the helpful and friendly staff.
