We booked this hotel because it promised well for a good family vacation. When we arrived our rooms were not ready, but never mind. It can happen to even the best hotel .. When we finally got our room smelled of the old mold .. We aired out and would go down to the beautiful pool, which our daughter happy to try. It looked just as well on their website. But what deceiving. It has probably not seen a cleaning the last 6 months. It was filled with garbage. Outside the hotel there was nothing. Then you have to eat - you should shop with a taxi into town nærmste (approximately 15 minutes drive) This town is quickly seen through, as there really is something. I write here in this block to other families with children and for people which like to have done little that they do not make the same mistake as us. We were however quick to find us a second place so we could relive this wonderful country that we love to visit (we've been to Thailand 10 times) but never returns to Rayong.

This place is probably the worst managed/maintained 'resort' I've ever been to, the real shame is that it could quite nice, but instead it has been run into the ground.

The landscaping is very nice, with some amazing tropical trees, the beach is quiet and nice (although a bit seaweedy and slimy to swim). The gardens are huge and really good for walking around.

However the rest of the resort is a terrible dump, they must spend all the money on upkeep of the gardens, because everything else is falling apart.

When we first arrived at our room the strong stink of damp mold, urine and cigarette smoke hit me at the door, if we had been staying for more than 1 night I would have turned around and checked out right there and then.

As I walked into the room I stepping into a puddle of water, which I realized was dripping through the ceiling from the air conditioner. There was a big hole rotting through the ceiling, so this was obviously not a new feature.

Everything is painted in the same color, and all the paint is peeling off, the beds are basically just a box with an airline blanket on them. The fridge literally looks like they just picked it up at the junkyard, and it didn't work.

As we stared around at this disgusting room the staff member said "If you need anything just call to the reception", to which we asked "Where is the phone"...answer: "There isn't one" (no I'm not making this stuff up).

We then went to the pool, which is very big and again could be nice, but there is no where to sit or put your things. There are only about 3 broken old wood deck chairs with rusty nails sticking out. I'm amazed they are able to keep the pool clean, as the filter/pump must be broken because instead of they have some jerry-rigged pumps on wheely-carts at the side of the pool, filtering it. The pool does however have a water slide which was working and the kids loved that.

After swimming I though we could get some dinner, so we went to what appeared to the restaurant; but actually it is only open for breakfast and there is no where else to get food, except driving out into a local town.

The resort does have some bikes available for rent, so in the morning we went to rent them, but apparently there is no one working in the reception until 8AM, so I have no idea how you check-in if you come in the night. Also all the bikes had flat tires so the point is somewhat moot.

In summary: Do not stay at this unless they get new management and do a major refurbishment. If you want to see the pool, garden, or beach, just walk in and use them because there are no staff or anyone checking on you.

Disgusting run down property. Poor structures, broken, and smelly huts. The owner has no money and unable to fix a broken nail. The water is filthy dirty and will give you bacteria infections that will put you in the hospital. Not a resort by any means. Run down shacks. Filthy disgusting. Cannot understand how people can be so irresponsible. Do not stay here! Unsafe conditions for people much less rodents.

Me & my girlfriend were in rayong & was looking for a hotel to stay. This hotel looked really nice on booking.com but said they were fully booked. We phone up on the off chase & the man in reception said he had two rooms available. We travelled 1.5hours to the hotel & on arrival it was like a scene from the horror movie hills have eyes. Everything looked run down, there where no cars in the car park & no sign of life what so ever. If we hadn't spoken to the man on the phone you would of thought this place was closed. We decided to have a walk around the complex before going into the reception. The pool was dirty & all the pool furniture was broken, the restaurant looked like it hadn't been used for years, the beach looked filthy. After 10 minutes of walking about we still hadn't seen anybody. The whole area had a really creepy feel to it & it didn't feel safe. We decided to quickly walk back to the car to get away from this place quick as possible. On return to the car park an old Thai man came out of the reception & just stood outside & stared at us. We felt like if we would of stayed here we might not of lived to see another day.
PLEASE BE CAREFULLY IF YOU BOOK TO STAY HERE. THIS IS NO LIE.

The complex is a bit hard to explain but there are a number of rooms in a mainly residential complex. The pool is amazing. The staff are very willing but language is a problem and we ended up communicating by google translate. The beds are hard and the rooms could do with a bit of TLC, particularly the bathroom. It is hard to complain given the costs of staying here are very low. It would really be worth the resort investing in it because it could be lovely. The beach is good and the ones nearby even better with good food, very comfortable sunbeds and reasonable drinks

Booked with friends through Agoda and paid upfront to stay here, but when my friend arrived at 6pm it was totally shut. Locked up, lights off shut. Remained shut for a couple of hours, so we went elsewhere. Agoda phoned them to find out what was going on, but no answer, as it was shut. Anyhow, they gave us a full refund and some compensation, thank you.

I am amazed by the negative reports. Our bungalow with air con, wi fi, hot water at 900 baht was excellent value. We did not eat there but made our own breakfast. There is an excellent restaurant just outside the gate and three miles away at Mae Phim beach some very good value fish restaurants. The pool was very clean and well maintained. We asked why there were so few guests and were told because the Thais don't like quiet. I love it and it is well worth the 2 hour and 10 minute drive from Suvarnabhumi airport.
Perhaps some potential guests have been put off by the negative reports - which frankly are nonsense. The staff were charming and helpful.
