Sitting at the bar on the ground floor of Tropical Sands, I can't help but feel lucky. International banter is constant, but many of the local expats hanging out have a lot more than just jokes to offer. Stu and his wife are incredibly helpful and knowledgable when it comes to the Rawai area. If there is a problem or...

I had a 2 week stay at Tropical Sands and had a wonderful time. The rooms are nice and big, cleaned daily and the beds are super comfy. Its just a 5 min bike ride to the beautiful Naiharn Beach. Stuart the owner is a lovely bloke who goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. It has...

The room was spotless, the king size bed very comfortable and all the furnishings in excellent working order. Hosts Stuart and his wife were helpful, very friendly and went out of their way to make my stay a most pleasurable experience. Truly a home away from home.

Couldn't stay here due to bedbugs in multiple rooms. The owner did not charge us and did apologise eventually, but I feel he could have done more to help, or at least offer to pay for a taxi to new accommodation.

We stayed here just for the one night before we moved on to another part of the island. The rooms were lovely with massive comfy beds! All the amenities were provided as well! Stewart and his family made us feel really welcome and helped us plan what to do in the area! Would definitely recommend and stay here in future!...

This place was organised for us through locals. It had just been taken over by an Aussie guy, Stewart n his wife and newborn. Quaint place in a great location with excellent rates. They have a bar on the ground floor with pool table, dart board etc. They hire out motorbikes also. The rooms were a great size for the...

Having never stayed in a guest house before I felt a little uneasy at how the trip would go. On booking in we were met by the owners Stuart who is Australian and Pao his Thai wife. The room assigned to us was imaculatl, bigger and brighter than I imagined it would be. Ceiling fan and air conditioning that worked...

We don't normally stay at guest houses however this place was highly recommend to us so we thought we'd give it a try. We were surprised at the extra large rooms that are light and airy, with flat screen TV fridge, air, tea and coffee, etc.etc. the list goes on. The guest house is spotlessly clean and the staff are...

Nong and Billy were fantastic hosts! We spent one month in Rawai, and left feeling part of their family. They welcomed us and our two children, and helped us to find our way around. Billy helped to arrange family-friendly day trips, even taking us out on one of his boats!!

Thank Lynne M
