As a return guest to STAY, I was eager to relive the experience that had made such a positive impression on me during my first visit shortly after its grand opening. With a focus on sports and health, this hotel boasts an impressive array of amenities, including an iconic three-level gym that remains as exceptional as I remembered. However, my recent stay revealed some notable changes that affected the overall experience.
1. Amenities and Service
The amenities continue to impress. The gym, with its state-of-the-art equipment and spacious layout, is still a standout feature. It’s well-maintained, providing a motivating environment for serious bodybuilders, gym-goers and athletes. However, the stricit prohibition of tripod camera use was slightly disappointing as we, as dedicated workout-goers, often review our forms and exercise performances.
Service remains consistent, with staff members friendly and attentive, ensuring that guests feel welcome. However, the overall atmosphere was different this time, possibly due to the hotel’s growing popularity.
2. Food Quality
One of the more disappointing changes was in the food quality. During my first visit, the dining experience was exceptional, with dinner sets with 2-meal course that showcased fresh, flavorful dishes. Unfortunately, this time around, I noticed a decline. The absence of dinner sets was particularly disappointing, and the à la carte options felt overpriced. The meals, while still decent, lacked the creativity and quality that I had previously enjoyed.
3. Crowded Atmosphere
It seems that STAY has become a hotspot, attracting a larger crowd, including numerous sporty YouTube influencers filming content. While I understand the appeal of such promotional activities, the influx of guests created a somewhat cramped atmosphere. There was a feeling of congestion that detracted from the laid-back experience I had cherished during my first visit.
4. Conclusion
In summary, while this hotel still offers excellent amenities and reliable service, my recent stay revealed some areas needing improvement. The rise in prices, coupled with a decline in food quality and an overcrowded environment, made the experience less enjoyable than I had hoped. I still appreciate the hotel’s commitment to health and fitness, but I hope they can address these concerns to restore the charm that made my first visit so memorable.

This hotel is simply incredible! If I could, I would give him 6 points! We've been to Phuket 5 times and this hotel is simply the best!
Pros: - super beautiful area and several swimming pools, there are always enough sun loungers for everyone - of course, a 3-story gym - staff!!! Absolutely everyone is polite, friendly and correct! And everyone understands English perfectly! Special thanks to the reception staff Kwan and Mile, we had some minor issues with the room and we asked to change it - without any problems or unnecessary questions, they immediately changed it to an excellent room, where we were happy with everything - yoga and magic trainer MJ - SPA - Fresca Kitches & Deli restaurant!!! What delicious food for both breakfast and dinner! Absolutely everything we took was tasty and of excellent quality! - own farm at the hotel, where there are chickens and greenhouses where they grow their own herbs/vegetables/fruits - Stay Green Cafe, where during the day you can escape the heat and drink a smoothie or have something healthy to eat
There were no disadvantages as such for us; there are several shortcomings that could be taken into account: - for breakfast we missed the availability of freshly squeezed juices and avocados - in the gym, if you run on a treadmill or elliptical in the morning, the sun shines strongly in your eyes, you could come up with blinds or steering wheels to darken the glass - there could be a sun canopy over the playground, there is always sun there and it is very hot for children to be there - there could be baskets on the territory where you can put used towels after the pool - at night there could be a little more lighting in the area and in the pools - smoking weed: many guests smoke directly on the sun loungers in the pool, this is extremely unpleasant, you can draw more attention to the guests that smoking is in strictly designated areas
I repeat that the hotel is simply superb, we will definitely come back and recommend everyone to visit it!

We lived here for a month. Before that we lived in the area of Kata, Karon and Airport and in our opinion Rawai is the best choice for a vacation and long stay. Although many are confused by the lack of a beach within walking distance, the Stay Hotel has a shuttle that will take you to Naiharn Beach and back when you order. Naiharn Beach is one of the three most beautiful beaches in Asia, there are no waves and it is safe for children to swim. Also, the Stay hotel has a huge pool and there is enough space for everyone, there are always free sun loungers. The presence of a huge 2-storey fitness centre is free for residents, but yoga and other classes are paid. pluses: free shuttle to the beach, own fitness centre, yoga class, comfortable beds, comfortable pillows, new linen and towels, chic and beautiful pool, very beautiful Territory, cleaning every three days and the next day after arrival, 3 restaurants, they cook very tasty and fast, their own shop with meat, cheese products and wine, a very calm, quiet place. Cons: no stove for cooking in the kitchen in the one bedroom suite, children's area is not intended for small children, there is not enough children's room with toys and a pool with balls for babies, upon arrival the pillows were wet and they were not changed for us, because the staff does not speak English well. Stay well-being resort is the most comfortable, peaceful and beautiful place for staying in Phuket island.

Worst staff to call themselves a “5-star resort”. Our party of 4 had booked 2 rooms and neither were cleaned for 2 nights. Towels and amenities were not replaced. Hair from shower drain was not cleaned. Towels were left on floor the entire time. Toilet paper was not replaced. Water was not replaced. Coffee was not replaced. Dirty cups and mugs were left in the same place. When we called to get our room cleaned, the staff accused us of lying because the cleaning lady stated she cleaned. They claimed they would send new towels but could not clean the room, but they still did not bring the new towels. The next day, they still did not clean until we called the next time. We received nothing for our complaints, other than insincere apologies for being caught lying. They were also super unhelpful because whenever staff saw our party haul luggages, they did not help. The bag men were always staring. Additionally, we had asked front desk what time to leave for airport for my flight at 10am, and the front desk insisted we leave at 8am. We left at 7:30am, and our uber driver said it wasn’t early enough for our flight. All the staff was extremely unhelpful and we spent the time leaving the resort. I wasn’t able to enjoy a resort vacation and feel extremely unrested. Also, this place is in a horrible location, middle of nowhere. There’s nothing around it. Grab drivers will not pick you up from here. You will have difficulty getting anywhere. Last thing, pools are not heated, and there’s no hot tubs. Once the sun sets, you will not be able to dip in the pool. This is NOT a 5-star resort with horrible location. I do not recommend.

Stayed here for 2 nights (3 rooms for the 6 of us). The hotel location is really "out of no where", hence they do provide shuttle to Nai Harn Beach and Rawai. The latter, more of a fishing village. Honestly, Nai Harn beach is very dirty, full of rubbish. This beach is not as popular compared to other beaches such as Bangtao, Kata, Karon hence the authorities did not put in much effort to clean up compared to the rest. Anyway, it is a long ride to the beach, about 20 mins journey so you make the decision if accessing to beaches is important, this resort is not for you.
The resort itself is very nice, modern simplicity. Room size is moderate, with standing shower only, single vanity and a WC. I booked a room with direct access to the pool. It is very nice.
There is no provision of BODY LOTION in the room which is kind of strange, given it is a resort with 3 pools, you would expect the guests to get tanned and the skin is very much in need of a moisturiser.
There is no wardrobe but only a metal rack and a few hangers, which is very much insufficient if there are 2 occupiers staying for a few nights, they will fight for hangers. Do not wait until you get the request, anticipate their requests.
The bedside light switch is very hidden, at least there should be some sort of instruction. All my friends can't find the switch either. If in any hotels, the guests need to be "taught" how to use or operate on something, "something is wrong".
Breakfast was great, in terms of spread. The bread and bakery items are very much a disappointment. I would expect they have a good pastry chef but not.
Tried Le Spa a few time, the massage is good and the price is very reasonable. I booked the Onsen for 500 Baht per hour, supposedly Male and Female separated but due to the Sauna in the Female Onsen is malfunction they allowed Female to use the Male Onsen (it became a Public Onsen). Again, I would not have operated it this way. I would offer the female users some concessions eg reduce of 100 Baht and not to allow another gender to use if the Onsen is meant for male patrons during that hour.
The Fitness Centre is huge, 3 levels of modern equipments. There are classes as well but it is chargeable.
The Water Spout at the pool is not really working, and the switch is down the steps (you have to come out from the pool, walk down the steps and walk 10m to reach the switch), kind of a weird position to be at. Mind boggling!!!
Lastly, I minus 1 more bubble due to its smoking policy. It is a Wellness Resort but guests were puffing in restaurants, room balcony and public area. Wellness and Smoking do not go hand in hand unfortunately. I do not condemned those who smoke, but if you market the resort as a "Wellness Resort" then I have issue with it.
Overall, it is a nice wellness resort if you do not mind the location, the lack of thought in amenities and the smoke!

Dear Mav68, We would like to thank you for spending your holidays with us and are also thankful for sharing and commenting Certain aspect of the hotel amenities and policies . We are sorry to hear that you did encounter some uncomfortable situation during your stay with us and we do apologize. Stay reassure that your comments will be shared with the management and As far as possible we will look for solution to improve the facilities . We do hope to welcome you back in the future . Referring to the location of the hotel, our website and third parties platform shows our location and surrounding. The Naiharn beach is among the most beautiful beach in Phuket but during the monsoon (June To Late Oct) it happens that during storm and high tide the trash from surrounding countries end up on our shores Note that the local authority does clean the beach on daily basis when weather allows . The hotel has a non-smoking policy in the public areas and restaurant, but we do also provide designated smoking zones . Kind regards, STAY Team

My friends and I had incredible days at Stay and couldn’t help but share our delight! We chose a 3-room villa with a private pool and were amazed by its luxury. We were especially impressed by the bathtub on the balcony, which added a special touch to our stay. The accommodation was not just comfortable, but a real embodiment of style and coziness. In addition, the kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own culinary delights.
The charm of Stay doesn't stop with the rooms. The huge fitness rooms became our second home, and two levels of outdoor pools provided plenty of opportunities for active recreation. If anyone is vacationing with their family, then there is a children's room. The fitness cafe and restaurant Fresca impressed with their variety and delicious dishes.
It is especially important to note that Stay is a brand new complex that is clearly created with the needs of athletes and yoga lovers in Phuket in mind. Everything here is thought out to the smallest detail so that guests feel comfortable and can enjoy their vacation to the fullest. That's why there are a lot of beautiful and slender people here.
In addition to physical activity, we found peace and relaxation in the spa and sauna. It was a real balance between training and relaxation for body and soul.
In conclusion, I would like to note the friendliness of the staff. They created a welcoming and caring atmosphere, making our stay even more enjoyable. This is the ideal place for those who are looking for not just a hotel, but a real experience of a full and healthy lifestyle. We left happy and inspired, and are already dreaming of returning! Thank you!

Sometimes I wonder if the general expectations have fallen or if mine are simply too high. Without a doubt, the stay is a beautiful, stylish resort. The staff are friendly, the food is good and the gym (public) is probably one of the best in all of Thailand. The entire complex is also interestingly designed and mostly well maintained.
The concept of the rooms, in our case a suite with one bedroom and access to the pool, is, in my opinion, completely impractical and not really well maintained. The bathroom is very small. It is impossible for two people to use it. The same problem with the wardrobe. It only consists of hanging space (5 hangers???) and 3 drawers. We therefore lived out of a suitcase for only 3 days, luckily. It is difficult to feel comfortable in a wellness resort. If there is also a broken Nespresso machine, wrong duvets, illogical lighting control and other obstacles, relaxation is lacking.
The location is a matter of taste. Anyone who books the stay should know that restaurants, shopping opportunities and especially the beach are not exactly around the corner. There is a free hotel shuttle to 2 beaches, but they weren't really convincing. If you're staying longer, you should have a car or scooter. Although I don't like driving in Phuket;)
In terms of food, we can only rate the breakfast and the Stay Green Café. We really liked the latter. Fresh, healthy and delicious. The breakfast was OK. The selection and quality was acceptable.
The spa is also worth mentioning. The massages were great and the prices were reasonable.
Conclusion: Probably number 1 on Phuket for athletes. There's almost everything your heart desires here. The accommodation could be better and the relatively new complex should continue to be well looked after.
Every traveler to Thailand should bear one thing in mind. Thailand currently feels like a Russian enclave. Whether that bothers you or not is something everyone has to decide for themselves.

If you are looking for a relaxed, quiet, and private resort experience for your annual leave, this is not the place. The resort feels more like a young, vibrant community for local expats. Privacy is lacking, as the facilities are shared with local expats who pay to use the gym, swimming pools, spa, and restaurants. As a hotel guest, you don't get an exclusive feeling, which might explain the numerous comments about the staff's friendliness—many seem indifferent and not particularly helpful.
There are a few specific issues worth noting. Hotel guests must pay the same fees as locals to join gym classes. The onsen is more of a social hub for local expats than a zen retreat, often filled with local gossip that doesn't interest short-term travellers like myself. No fresh juice at buffet breakfast. Additionally, Sunday breakfast is cut short for a public brunch event each month, but reception doesn't inform you at check-in, even if your stay includes that Sunday breakfast.
That said, if you are young, looking for fun, and have some money, this might be the place for you. If I was a local expat or working remotely, I would probably enjoy it here, but it's not where I want to spend my vacation.

Dear Ms. Liu, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We appreciate your comments and are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Our resort aims to offer a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, which may not always align with the preferences of those seeking a more serene and exclusive retreat. We understand that the shared facilities and community aspects might not have suited your needs, and we apologize if this caused any inconvenience during your stay. We’re glad to hear that you found our resort enjoyable from a local perspective and appreciate your constructive criticism. We strive to cater to a wide range of guests and will take your comments into account as we continue to enhance our services. The facilities such as our STAY FIT gym, LeSpa and restaurants are opened to outside guests; locals, expats and tourists alike but the pools and surroundings are reserved for our in-house guests. The design of the resort is done in such as way that our guestrooms, pools and lounges are kept away from other facilities in order to provide a calm and relaxing space. Regarding our Onsen, Male and Female Onsens are separated until 6PM and then becomes Mixed after 6PM. We would recommend the use of the Onsen prior 6PM where there is less frequentation and you may find yourself to be the only one. Our STAY FIT gym, 1,000sqm, which is opened 24hrs does provide Group Classes (HIIT, Yoga, Muay Thai, Spinning and Outdoor obstacle course) and Personal Trainer for an additional charge while the access of the gym is free for our in-house guests. Outside guests will be required to pay an entrance fee shall they wish to use it. The Resort does held a monthly Sunday Brunch every last Sunday of the month and the breakfast time is closing at 10:30AM instead of 11:00AM. Our Front Office team starts sending a broadcast message through our in-house app 3 days prior to the event as well as a letter in each guestrooms 1 days prior to the event as a reminder. Thank you once again for your feedback, and we still hope to be able to welcome you back in the future. Best regards, STAY Team.

We stay at a junior suit for 17 nights. We have a lot of staf and there is no closet only hangers and not enough. We asked for more hangers and the staff was very friendly and helpful and brought us more hangers. The place of the room was very good even when it was very rainy a little bit of water came inside the room. The hotel advised us to change room but we refused.

Our first 2 nights were not bad but nightmares came after our 3rd night. Sudden blackout and power outages happened and staff in charge were not helpful and instead, being defensive. We asked about the issue and when it will be solved. And he only said “we don’t know, you just have to wait.”. And when we asked for a mere torch light, he mentioned multiple times that there isn’t any and there is nothing he can do (we found out in the morning that there was a torch light allocated in the cabinet but staff was not well informed). He replied rudely instead when we asked if there were any update - imagine being in a foreign land with sudden blackout with very minimal phone battery left and not knowing what was the cause and when will it be solved. We asked if there were any night manager around who can help us and to our surprise, he mentioned none at all, he was off and no one is on standby.
Morning comes and the hotel compensated us with breakfast for the following morning but again, to our surprise, we encountered even worse treatment from the restaurant staff. She missed out our order and accused us of lying when we told her that the order paper she brought to us was not ours (we remembered our own handwriting, who doesn’t?). We felt very offended as she was giving us attitude and raising her voice and plus, she walk away even before we finish mentioning our missing order.
We filed a complained to the operation manager and he was unable to solve any of the issues and only try to compensate us. When we told him that we would like to change/reject his initial compensation as it was not appropriate for us (i.e. onsen - we are not used to sharing onsen and transport - we brought our own car), he made it sound like we were demanding for more when what we want was a mere apology from the mentioned staffs. This is the standard and expectation that we expect from a hotel chain (or at least we thought was a proper hotel).
It’s not the end… We came back to our room and the housekeeper did not top up any of the used amenities and left our room slippers scattered everywhere. He/she also didn’t do a proper cleaning check in the room as we have empty shower gel too. And the night manager did not even bother to reply to the message at all and chose to ignore my message (they uses app to communicate with their guests). We expected at least a reply from him as the night manager in charge. But i guess the staffs behaviour reflects according to their training/managers’.
We were speechless at the amount of rudeness most of the staff in this hotel. They were giving out attitude from the beginning to the end. We thought that we were staying in a hotel where service was part of its responsibility but little did we know that this is even worse than staying in a budget hotel or airbnb. This will definitely be our first and last staying at this place (I wouldn’t even call it a hotel anymore). Although the room is pretty decent, their staffs are really a big no no to hotel industry. There are many other hotels like Marriott, Katathani Resort or Melia Resort that are much better than Stay Wellbeing & Lifestyle Resort.

HI there, we left over a week ago and there was plenty of work going on in the spa, but doubt if it will be open yet. We didnt notice the rooftop restaurant being open either. No adults only pool, but not many kids there and lots of nice relaxing quiet spaces if you need it.
Have a great time.
