I recently returned from my 4th visit to Atmanjai. I seem to love it more every time I visit and am already planning my next visit. I love everything about it! The location can’t be beaten, right on the beach in a quiet and peaceful location in the South of Phuket, not far from one of my favourite beaches which we visit on Sunday mornings as part of the program. They offer 4 different programs and also flexibility. So you can actually chop and change even when you are there depending on what you are trying to achieve and your progress and your body’s response. All programs are the same cost which is why they can be so flexible. I did 10 days this time and I started with 3 days juice detox, 6 days ultra-cleanse and one day eat well. The results were amazing! I lost weight and came away feeling fantastic. My friends said I was simply glowing! All the therapies are excellent, the staff are so warm and friendly and helpful and there are many additional therapies available at a very reasonable cost. I loved my daily massage and especially starting the day with yoga. The thing I love most about Atmanjai is the vibe. It is a completely non-judgemental environment where it doesn’t matter how old you are, where you come from, what you do or what physical condition you are in, there is such a feeling of acceptance by everyone, including the other guests. All the guests form a great bond and enjoying hanging out together and chatting in the sala in between activities. I cann’t recommend this enough. If you are looking for a place to improve your mind, body and soul as well as recharge, don’t look anywhere else. A big thanks to Izzy, Tang, Om and Jumpee for another wonderful experience. I hope to see you all again in a few months’ time. I can’t get enough of Atmanjai!

The beachfront restaurant at this resort provides excellent food and service. If you spend more than 300 Baht you can enjoy their swimming pool and sun longes.
It is a bit expensive though and the addition of 7% VAT and a further 10% service on the menu prices is a bit of a trap.
Worth a visit but not too often!
Staff are very attentive and friendly.

With regards, to the VAT and service charge, this is no uncommon at all at hotels and restaurants in Thailand and the VAT is actually required by law. We therefore are not able to compete price-wise with all the local family run restaurants who do not pay taxes nor pay minimum wages to their staff as required by the labour law. If you are planning a detox retreat this is the place , if you are here for vacation and to enjoy the resort is not the ideal choice. I have been to many wellness centers , Atmanjai is one of the best : Quality price they win. Focused programs (lose weight , clean your colon/gut , relax while doing it) How do they do that at Atmanjai: Not many programs to choose from , They dedicate a room just for you 24/7 as to do your daily colon cleaning and they are adamant about the fact that "a clean gut is a clean head" The staff are relaxed cheerful and personal with no complication in re-adjusting your scheduled massages and different treatments Friends ship hotel : The restaurant menu is excellent The swimming pool and Gym area is nestled between greenery and lovely trees ....sure a face lift will do it wonders since the place sits on and has great potentials. The rooms are below average they do need a major face lift , the quickest and most importantly is a screen behind the patio or window doors to keep the mosquitos out when having to open the patio door to enjoy a superb breeze at night time rather than an A/c breeze ! The second fast fix is the bath rooms .
It is always possible to join Atmanjai program and stay at other nearby hotels , but it will be way more convenient to be at friendship .

In May of 2022, I visited the Wellness Center at Atmanjai in order to do the Ultra Cleanse detox program for two weeks or so. I have visited other detox centers in Thailand over the past eight years in order to complete fasting programs and I arrived at Atmanjai with both experience in this area and certain expectations. I must say that I was very impressed with all aspects of the Atmanjai program and in many ways, it exceeded my expectations.
In terms of infrastructure, the resort offers very modern and comfortable rooms. There is a pool and socializing area next to the beach. There is also restaurant which serves a variety of local foods, as well as fantastic vegetarian dishes designed specifically for those persons participating in the fitness and detox programs.
Atmanjai offers detox programs for all levels and tastes: from shorter, gentler programs to longer and more intense ones. The Ultra Cleanse program, which I did, was put together with great attention to detail and a focus on the needs of each person. It includes many services such as reiki, consultations, iridology, massages, spa treatments and other items which help to round and support the overall fasting experience. In terms of its detail, comprehensiveness and execution, the Atmanjai program was indeed the best one that I have experienced in Thailand.
I must emphasize that the professionalism and kindness of the staff at each step made the program a standout. Without exception, the entire Atmanjai team worked tirelessly on behalf of the guests and with a genuine sense care and concern for the participants. Anyone choosing to do a program at this resort will be in good hands.
In previous detox programs that I have done, which took place in more isolated environments, those detoxing had relatively little contact with non-detoxing persons. At Atmanjai, however, one should note that there is interaction between those persons who are detoxing and those who are not; that is to say, between those who are fasting and those persons who are on holiday. That facet of my stay did take a moment to get used to at the outset, but was quickly overcome. Whilst it was not a big issue, I would suggest that the Wellness Center at Atmanjai could improve this enclave of well-being by adding a quiet space that is reserved only for those who are fasting.
Beyond that though I must say that Atmanjai comes with my highest recommendation. As someone who has taken part in many other detox programs in Thailand, the Wellness Center at Atmanjai stands clearly head and shoulders above the rest. The resort's meticulously prepared programs provide all that is needed for a successful detox experience. The kindness and knowledge of the skilled staff all make for a most enjoyable stay.
For those looking for a top-quality detox center, Atmanjai is the place to be. Thanks to everyone there for a truly wonderful stay!

This is an attractive resort on the beach in Rawai. The resort itself has lovely gardens, a nice pool, comfortable rooms and a restaurant right on site. The food in the restaurant was very tasty but it is higher priced than other restaurants we’ve eaten at, but it’s was still reasonable. The menu is quite varied with some unique and healthy choices. Rawai itself does not seem to be geared towards tourists, so if you’re content to sit by the pool and relax, it’s very pleasant. The ocean in front isn’t really swimmable. It’s very shallow and murky, but it’s popular for kite surfing. The staff are friendly and attentive. Our room was quite large and comfortable, with a balcony and a drying rack to dry bathing suits and towels. We enjoyed our stay but since we love to swim in the ocean, we probably wouldn’t stay in this area again. But it was a pleasant, relaxed two day stay in between locations during our two months of travel throughout Thailand.

Stayed here for one night. The positives are that it’s right by the sea, the pool area is nice and the restaurant/bar is good and reasonably priced. However, my room was not really clean or well maintained with scuff marks all over the walls and old furniture. On checking in the receptionist said breakfast was included but on checkout she charged me for it. On protesting I was given a small discount off the breakfast fee, but still had to pay, which seemed unfair.

We arrived at this resort to be given a room, which we were told would only be for one night a the next day we would be given a better room with an ocean view. The pool was very small and quite crowed when we arrived. We proceed to go onto the beach, which is where it all went wrong for us. We are beach people we love going in the sea and taking long beach walks. We were so disappointed with the beach we did realised when we booked the resort that when the tide went out the sea would be very far out, but what we didn't reckon on was the amount of rubbish, dead fish, asbestos and all sort of other items along the shore, it also smelt awful. We walked quite a way along the beach and it was the same all along that shore line, I couldn't understand why the hotels along the beach didn't have staff to go out and clear there beach frontage, as this would have help not only the look of there beachfront but the environment as well. We had an evening meal in the resort restaurant which was really good, and the staff were very friendly. The next morning we took another walk along the beach and decided we just could stay at the hotel, whilst we were thinking about this my husband was taken to see the better room with the ocean view, which as it turned out was not an ocean view and the access to the room was via the car park. We decided to cut our losses and left the hotel, we should have been there for 5 nights but spent only one night and move on to Karon Beach, at an extra cost to ourselves. We didn't get a chance to use the wellness centre, but we did see a couple doing some Yoga on the filthy beach which didn't make me think it couldn't be doing much for their wellbeing.

Great stay!! We spent 10 days here and loved every minute of it. The grounds are peaceful and clean. The resort is located right on the beach and there’s plenty of space to find a peaceful spot. The food from the restaurant was great. The breakfast included was almost served fresh and hot. The service is fantastic. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating, they’ll always try their best to help with any of your need.

I definitely recommend Atmanjai Wellness Centre to anyone. The people are fantastic. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. And the detox program works. Not only did I lose 7kgs in 9 days, felt well and truly alive, full of energy. The specialists are knowledgeable and professional. I have already booked to go again in February. So if you want to feel revitalised and rejuvenated, do yourself a favour and go to Atmanjai Wellness Centre. Your body will thank you, and those that depend on you and love you, will be grateful. There is no "as much as you can drink" packages at our resort but we obviously have a drink list available. A bit more expensive than you average run family run restaurant in Phuket though.
Dear RSharmany, the beach is not private and none of the beaches in Thailand are actually private. They are all public areas open to anybody who would like to use them. We trust you have also noted that the beach in front of Serenity is not suitable for swimming during low tide due to the shallow water. The same applies to all East coast beaches in Phuket.
There are more places to choose from in the Rawai area.
