Deevana Patong Resort & Spa is often commended for its cleanliness and well-maintained pools and gardens, with guests enjoying the variety at breakfast and thoughtful amenities like beach bags. While the service receives high marks for staff friendliness, opinions about the rooms and value are mixed, with some concerns over dampness and policy charges.
The hotel's atmosphere and location garner praise for their balance of serenity and proximity to Patong's vibrant scene, though nightlife noise can be an issue for some.

We stayed in a deluxe room with Jacuzzi for 10 nights. It was our first time at this resort but have been to Thailand many times. We were greeted on arrival and given a refreshing cool drink and shown to our room. The room was the same as pictures on the website, we love the extra large bed although quite firm, the jacuzzi was also a welcome treat and was used many times to cool down and enjoy a quiet drink. The breakfast has plenty of variety, many juices, cereals, eggs, hot foods, pastries, bread and salads and fruits. Coffee and tea The resort has 2 swimming pools, we only swam in the main pool as it was the closest to us, the pool and surrounding gardens are lovely and well maintained. We didn’t observe anyone reserving a pool lounge as other people had suggested, although I don’t think the resort was at capacity and found sometimes had the pool to myself or one or two others. The resort is within a short walking distance to quite a few bars and restaurants and a reasonable walk to beach road and Bangla road or Otop a couple of times we chose to use Tuk Tuks or taxi for 200 baht, especially in the heat. We had the service of lovely Nuch as our housekeeper, she was very happy and friendly. In fact all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negatives I have would be the bathroom needs a good deep clean not just a quick daily once over, this complaint does not in anyway reflect on Nuch who obviously cannot perform such a clean in the time she is allocated. Also we found the happy hours at the different locations quite confusing, one afternoon we specifically asked where the 6.00pm happy hour was and was told to go the pool, then we were presented with a bill for 400 baht not 200 as advertised, I did try to explain to the bartender but it was too hard.

Dear dasAdelaide, Thank you for sharing your detailed review of your 10-night stay in the deluxe room with a Jacuzzi . It's wonderful to hear about your overall positive experience and the aspects you enjoyed, as well as the feedback on areas that could be improved. It's heartwarming to read about the excellent service you received from the friendly and helpful staff, including your housekeeper Nuch. The personalized care they provided certainly added to the overall positive experience. Your feedback regarding the bathroom's cleanliness and the confusion with the happy hour pricing is valuable for both the resort management and future guests. It's important for the resort to ensure thorough cleaning, and clear communication about pricing can prevent misunderstandings. Thank you again for sharing your detailed review, and your feedback helps us enhance its services and overall guest experience. Warm Regards, Kevin-Assistant Guest Service Manager

I've just had two fantastic weeks 27th January until the 11th February 2023 at the Deevana Hotel in Patong.
We arrived a little earlier than expected due to an early flight but the hotel transfer taxi was waiting for us as promised then after a short drive we arrived at our hotel. My first impression was Wow! This looks very impressive and it certainly was.
Obviously because we arrived earlier than expected our rooms wasn't quite ready but the hotel staff were so helpful whilst our rooms were being prepared offering us free complimentary fruit juice to keep cool and keeping updated about how long the cleaning staff would take to get the rooms ready for us and actually it wasn't long at all.
All the staff at the hotel were so polite even the security staff at the gate said good morning or good evening as we passed by.
The evening meal included in the hotel price was absolutely wonderful and the breakfast in the morning was absolutely wonderful as well, a special thanks must go out to the guy who cooked the fresh omelettes in the morning because nothing was any trouble for him and he seemed to be doing a dozen jobs all at once and all with a smile upon on his face.
We had a couple of spa treatments which I highly recommend and were so relaxing and therapeutic.
The rooms were immaculately kept and the little extras like sewing kits and shampoo and shower gel were a nice unexpected touch. You even get a free safe in the room.
This hotel is very well kept and is exceptional value considering the extras that are included in the price. There's absolutely no noise from the main road even though its probably only 50 meters from the busy street. I would definitely give it a 5 from 5 rating.
If there is one small gripe that I have it was people leaving their belongings on the pool loungers and then clearing off for the morning/afternoon and then coming back to the lounger. I know that this isn't the fault of the hotel its the fault of selfish holiday makers but if the hotel could find some way to stop this from happening it recon it would be greatfully appreciated by people who couldn't at times get to enjoy the pool area.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
Just finished a 2 week stay and this is a tricky one to write as I was swithering on a 3 star.
Location is great, far enough back from the main road not to hear the traffic but you are still close enough to walk to all the nightlife and Bangla.
Staff were always helpful and special shout out to "Cream" our room maid who kept our room spotless and well stocked over the 2 weeks.
Beakfast is okay if you use the egg bar but the rest of the prepared food I was quite happy to leave.
Deluxe pool is fantastic to relax at but is ruined every day at 15:00 when for some reason they decide there is a need to blast out heavy bass music from the pool bar. Given the demographics of the people around the pool no one is interested!!! You just see people getting up and leaving.
My other issue is that on new years eve you pay top dollar for a room to get told the main pool is closed for the day and to use the smaller family pool (which was mobbed, no loungers and people ended up putting towels down on the concrete). If you are paying the festive season rates you expect everything to be available.
We stayed here before Covid and wanted a chilled out time which we got most of the time but will check out the reviews in the next few months to see if it is worth coming back.

This hotel seems to be a story of 2 halves. One side amazing, the other distinctly average. We travelled as part of a tour so didn't get to select our rooms, though we did request twins which was accommodated. We were in the garden rooms. The room was basic but did the job. The rooms are a hive for mosquitos and though a plug in is provided, i recommend purchasing a spray from the supermarket. The beds are really hard and uncomfortable. One pillow, no spares. No dressing gowns or slippers. Hand towels have to be requested. The wardrobe is in the bathroom which is not ideal due to steam and damp. Beds made up each day and clean bath towel provided as well as 2 bottles of water per day. Beach bag and pool towels provided, however you can't simply swap out your towels for fresh ones. These need to be requested and you have to wait for them to be delivered to your room so I suggest you do this each evening. Staff were all very pleasant and breakfast was plentiful. Pools are nice but both lose sunlight by 4pm. Bar drinks are weak so not worth bothering with, not even on happy hour. Good location for the centre of Patong and the hotel grounds are well maintained. Would I stay again? Maybe, if I had a better room.

We came here for our honeymoon and we asked about a honeymoon package. We were told that they didn’t have a package but, they would do some flowers in the room for us as a gift. We agreed and were thrilled to at least get some flowers in the room. We also reached out to them for a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. They told us the driver would be waiting for us at the 2nd exit. When we got outside we saw the sign as posted but the driver wasn’t there, they had to be called and we waited 30 minutes for them to arrive to pick us up.
When we arrived at the hotel we had to lug our luggage up stairs are there isn’t a easy access way to get luggage into hotel to reception desk. We arrived in the evening so, the hotel was quiet. But, the 2 members behind the desk took awhile to check us in. The voyage to our room was tough because there’s no elevators as the rooms are set up like a campground. So we had to drag our luggage through gravel and uneven sidewalk.
When we finally got to our room we had to admit it was nicer than expected minus the promise setup in the room. We have no complaints about the room, it’s minimal as expected and has a working fridge which is a plus in the heat.
I got sick am with an upset stomach the second night here and my husband went to the front desk to ask if he could buy a sprite, ginger ale, or tea. He was told the kitchen was closed and he needed to go into town to get the desired beverage even after he explained to them my condition. I never thought purchasing a soda from a hotel would be an issue especially when they have room service and it didn’t require preparation for him to purchase the soda instead of walking 15-20 minutes to a store leaving me on my own in the room.
We also asked for a cup of ice to put in our water bottles and were told that they sell ice for 60 baht a bucket. I asked if I could simply purchase 2 cups as a bucket of ice is too much and we don’t have a way to keep it frozen since the fridge turns off when we leave. We were told that it’s only sold by the bucket and if we want ice we have to buy a bucket of it.
If it wasn’t for the fact that this location is good, we are on our honeymoon, and we can’t get a refund I would’ve gladly changed hotel. The customer service here has been the worst I’ve ever experienced and we travel quite often.
The breakfast is decent but, the heating on some of the food doesn’t seem to work so, the food is kinda lukewarm other items are uncovered and there are flies on the food. My husband enjoyed the rice and had that every day for breakfast. The juices are a mystery each day, they say one thing and taste like something else.
A few positives the beach is a 10 minute stroll away, the housecleaning lady was so sweet and kind, she told of us of a few places to visit and is one of the tea I’m not completely disappointed with our stay here.
Would I come back to this hotel, no I would not. There are other hotels in this area that are closer to the beaches and though they might cost a bit more, I think it would be worth it to have better customer service and quality of stay especially as it’s our honeymoon.

Very nice hotel located in Patong but set back from one of the main streets so quiet for an urban environment. The buffet breakfast is great, sweet and savory fruit, Thai Indian dish, even an omelette made in front of you on request.. basically top notch The rooms are cleaned every morning It has shower and swimming pool towels We had a 200x200 bed for a Deluxe room overlooking the pool... The staff is very welcoming The swimming pool is large with its bar open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. directly in the swimming pool.. the cocktails are wonderful and of high quality... The dry cleaning service offered is great and not very expensive. We will come back there again for sure... Thank you for everything

We have just come back from a 2 week holiday in Patong, Phuket. On arrival at the hotel we did have a problem with the room, but the staff soon sorted us another room - and our holiday began. We didn't unpack we just went straight out to explore. Our room had everything you needed and what i did like was they provided a beach bag in the room. It was cleaned every day, and our cleaner 'cream' was amazing displaying lovely things on our bed. We didn't go for breakfast often but when we did the food was good, with a good selection so you wouldn't starve. The coffee wasn't brilliant but it did the job. The pool area was lovely, and you didn't have to worry about getting a sunbed. The staff were very friendly, in fact everywhere we went the people were friendly. The whole culture experience was a delight - we will definitely return to explore more of Thailand.

Our initial room wasn’t as expected, but we paid a small amount extra to upgrade to a much nicer room with a view over the pool. Staff were really helpful and welcoming. Buffet style breakfast was good with a variety of food styles. Pool area and sun loungers were excellent, never had to ‘reserve’ a sun lounger!! Location was great as an oasis from Patang Beach itself and its craziness. Only negative would be the constant traffic which meant a 10km journey to a show took 2 hours. Hotel had beautifully maintained garden areas. Lots of local laundries for holiday washing.
