The Viridian Resort, is located at the heart of Patong Beach, Phuket. We offer a sanctuary, from the bustle of yet still being within 5 minutes walk from both the Patong Beach and Bangla Road. In keeping with our strong belief in moving towards a more ecologically sustainable tourism/hospitality industry practice and prioritising local produce and suppliers; we also are one of the only remaining resorts in Patong Beach which is built around a lush tropical garden, preserving much of the natural floras which was here before any resort ever came to this area. We aim to be you resting stop between you excursions and explorations of this truly unique island. A convenient, quiet and comfortable place to rest before you embark on you discoveries. As you check-in, we hope you would join our little resort family, and provide you a personal, unique and hopefully memorable experience.

right where do I start with this one. the hotel itself is almost invisible as it is tucked away from the street. the check in was quite easy and was done without any fuss. my room was quite old and dated and is in desperate need of some sort of refurbishment but was kept quite clean and tidy by the hotel staff. Have to admit the bed was very hard and quite uncomfortable to sleep on so if you like a nice soft mattress then give this a miss. The room does have a kettle and a fridge and a tv and they do re stock water and coffee/tea etc every day. The pool area was quite nice although as mentioned in other reviews the pool furniture is in need of replacement. the gardens look lovely but I think the trees stop the sun from getting to the pool so sunbathing is not up to much. have to say the wifi at the hotel was quite good as I had no trouble streaming movies etc so that's a bonus. There was no food available at the hotel at all as the so called restaurant was closed for my whole stay and the bar at the front of the hotel wasn't up to much as it consisted of one fridge which contained bottled beer etc. Overall it was just about ok but would I go back probably not as I'm sure there are better hteles for the same price elsewhere

The Viridian resort is centrally located, about a five-minute walk to the bustling Bangla Road. It is somewhat of an oasis amongst the craziness of the surrounding area. The resort itself is a little dated. The pool area is lovely and relaxing but our room was a little drab, and we were unfortunate in the fact we did not have a balcony. The room was quite spacious and the bed very comfortable to get a good night’s sleep. The WIFI worked quite well. The restaurant and bar areas are still closed as of December 2022. They do plan to reopen but no one could give me a date as to when this may happen. Outside of the resort there are numerous restaurants, bars and massage shops (many staffed by ladyboys in this area) and Jungceylon and Central Plaza are a short walk away. The beach is a leisurely 10-minute walk from the resort. All in all, a pleasant stay so if you are looking for something centrally located, quiet and at a budget price then Viridian is not a bad choice.

We stayed for three weeks with a short break away to phi phi mid stay. Two adults & our 13yr old daughter. The gardens are stunning and a rare find in the busy bustling area of patong beach. It is an escape from the intense sales pitch and traffic which you hear nothing of on entering viridian. It’s a small resort which we liked as felt less like crammed sardines in boxes in high rise hotels ( something we wanted to avoid) The hotel staff always had a smile and were courteous and polite. The place is such a gem and staff fully accommodating that whenever small issues arose they were rectified quickly e.g on a few occasions our safe died and wouldn’t open ( it was replaced then the second had a fault ( realised prob due to the electronic battery compartment being taped so the batteries had moved) this is Thailand!)the handy man was very fast to sort these things. Another observation was as guest numbers reduced so did the quality of breakfast ( having read reviews about poor breakfasts I was blown away by the opposite experience & thought it adequate and satisfactory, I asked for bacon to which it was provided and the girls made eggs to order also. There was fresh melon toasts and croissants too and Asian options. As it got quieter however with less guests the options reduced, less juice choice, and items unavailable which I thought a shame. I have to say I did email the manager though and he was so apologetic and accommodating, on our last day we had an early departure and they made breakfasts boxed for us all ready. Apechet had also gone to the trouble of warming croissants & bacon for us. He was open to our feedback and as stated it is a lovely resort that just needs that bit more TLC to ensure it’s beauty isn’t lost. The rooms are spacious cleaned thoroughly daily with fresh towels and bottled water.the shower always hot with great flow. The location is just perfect with easy distance to the beach and shopping centre, and access to Banzaan market of a night time. It suited us all and I would recommend. Thankyou to all the hardworking staff who dedicate themselves , hope the hotel is loved enough to realise how special it can be. Additional suggestion also other than general maintenance and painting, would be poolside drinks & snack provision Overall we would return, Thankyou.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during the month of February 2020. the room was very good, the hotel is just close to patong and patong beach, the location is perfect. I wasn’t a huge fan of the breakfast and the swimming pool but I had a great time in Phuket thanks to the tour guy which name is Pat. He showed as more than one activities to do during our trip, and all of them were amazing!!! He planned everything and responded to all of our questions. I think that the location of the hotel and Pat are the best things of this hotel.

We stayed at the Viridian over the New Year Period. The rooms were very basic although clean, the only real complaint about the room is that the beds were very hard. The grounds were nice and lush, there is a lot of tree canopy and therefore the pool is very cold. Could only stay in it for very short periods of time. The pool chairs are white plastic and all are in a state of disrepair, cracked, broken and mouldy. They cannot be sat on unless you have a covering such as a towel as the broken plastic cuts into you. There is no pool service, we were with a group of 11 people and wanted to order lunch and drinks around the pool. When I asked if someone could attend to take the order, I was given the menu to take back and then had to try to remember our order and walk it back to the roadside bar. We did this the first day and then bought our own take away from restaurants nearby and drinks from the mini mart on all other days to eat and drink by the pool. This is a great loss of revenue for the hotel as nobody seemed to care we weren't using their restaurant anymore. The restaurant was basic and unappealing and drinks heavily overpriced. $100bht for a beer which we purchased next door and walked in for 32bht. My daughter ordered a cocktail which arrived minus the alcohol. When we questioned it, they simply made another one which did have alcohol. This makes me question if it is a regular occurrence. As mentioned in a previous review there was a large disturbance in the breakfast area involving knuckle dusters. What it did not mention was that this was the end of an ongoing problem. We were in the room next door. After two nights of loud arguing, screaming, things being thrown against the wall, doors slamming and a women wailing at least once an hour, we asked to change rooms. No security was in attendance and I was too scared to say anything as the occupants were overtly violent and openly taking drugs on the balcony during the night and the early morning. We moved rooms and the guests in question seemed to leave. We ordered room service on one occasion and placed the empty plates on the outside table. It became on ongoing joke to see how long they would stay there and where they would be moved to next. The cleaning staff scrapped them down and replaced them on the table on the first day and then they continued to feature around the balcony walls and surrounds for the next 4 days, nobody collecting them. Unfortunately we left without seeing them collected. Finally, as mentioned we stayed over new year's. We have stayed at many hotels during 'peak' times and often incur a surcharge, compulsory meal purchase or the like. At the Viridian you simply get charged double your room rate for the night, which in our case was AU$320. My overall impression...I wont be back.

Not a bad hotel, but not a good one also. 10 minute walk from bangala but still in a very good spot close to everything. Room was clean and tidy however inside the bathroom and toilet have direct windows outside and the glass doors don’t cover the whole frame so your room is constantly full with mosquitos. Breakfast was well below mediocre, standard basic buffet which is fine but on all 3 occasions I ate there the staff were incredibly rude and the ladies on the egg station have absolutely no idea about eggs, each time serving my partner and I raw omelettes. The ladies at the front were helpful and nice. They have a travel guy at the front desk who rents out scooters and organises day trips etc from which we’d used his for a day trip around phi phi and rented a scooter from him and he was incredibly helpful and professional, an absolute pleasure to deal with, very informative and trustworthy.

Viridian Resort is one of those places you just wasn’t to avoid. Whilst it is close to Bangla Road and Patong Beach, the bad certainly outweighs the good. I had $500 stolen from my room. After reporting to hotel management and police, nothing at all was done. There is CCTV cameras outside my room, but the manager apparently couldn’t find the password to access it. After reporting to police and spending hours down there, they accompanied me back to resort. After 5 hours, the manager found the password to the CCTV. The housekeeper was the only one that had been in my room, but they refused to do anything about it. Breakfast starts at 6:30, but don’t get down there till at least 6:50 as nothing will be ready and you will be locked out. On my last morning there, there was an almighty racket coming from the rooms. Whilst having breakfast at 7:00, one guy drags another guy down to reception both of them screaming and swearing. One guy has knuckle dusters on and is hitting the other bloke. No security on to help the front office staff at all. Rooms are very old and outdated Take my advice and stay well away from this place
