Efficient boutique hotel and I think every room includes a kitchenette and large fridge but we didn’t end up doing any cooking in ours.The rooms were spacious and large. The staff was excellent and a highlight of our stay, my girlfriend sprained her ankle one day and the staff saw her limping and provided her with pain cream to help free of charge. The location was good for us, being our first time in Phuket we wanted to stay in a central location but not be in the middle of all the busy busy streets you get when you stay closer to the waters. It’s very easy to get to the beach as tuk tuks and taxis are always nearby and the shuttles for some of the activities we booked picked us up from the hotel as well.

We have been in this wonderful hotel for a long time. On top they have the most wonderful staff, extremely kind and helpful with every wish. This is truly a place you don't want to leave, and when you do it's with a hope: to come back. Patong By residence took care of us better than any other place we have stayed. The reception staff were great, everything we needed they brought us. They were efficient, attentive and unobtrusive. I was also very impressed by the restaurant staff, young but very professional guys, by the quality food cooked in a healthy way, hygiene in the first place. A huge thanks particular to the manager Roberto for the very kind and courteous assistance in making our stay in Patong By Residence into a real dream 🙏💗

Well located hotel, not too close to the fervor of Bangla Road…it is located about 15 minutes walk from Patong Beach. Fairly quiet area, near the mosque with lots of small halal restaurants nearby. Our room was clean, a very large bathroom. There is a fridge, a kitchen that we are of course not going to use because on the one hand in Thailand we eat cheaply on every street corner and on the other hand, there is no cooking pot or of cookware, so I wonder what is the use of this kitchen? Anyway, there is also a microwave if you need to heat something up. As I said above, the hotel is not far from the mosque, so we could hear the call to prayer, something which did not bother us, quite the contrary...by closing the bay window we could hear almost nothing. Varied breakfast. We didn't have the opportunity to try the swimming pool but it looked good to me even if it's not very big. Otherwise a 1000 baht deposit is required at check-in. Overall if I ever come back to phuket I won't hesitate to stay at this hotel again, my son and my husband were also happy.

This is probably one of the strangest hotels I have ever stayed in, day one was a bit of a shock to the system…
Upon check in no particular greeting, questions were ignored and you have to pay a 1000 Baht deposit with no real explanation what it is for, other than “it’s hotel policy”.
This is where the customer service stopped, we were here for 10 days no hellos, or thank yous blah blah blah. It’s sad because I’ve stayed in many hotels in Thailand, and the hospitality is what keeps us coming back.
Rooms - we were in the second building. Again when we checked in we were taken out of the main building again no explanation as to what is going on or where we are going. So you start to think the worst. That being said by the time we got to our room, which is just across from the main building we were actually surprised. It was quite nice, modern. Although beds are hard (I did sleep well most nights though), balcony unusable (clothes dryer provided but air conditioning leaks onto it), and the bathroom is full of black mould due to improper cleaning. There is a chargeable minibar in the room, but sadly water, tea and coffee is also chargeable. I have never seen a hotel charge for basic amenities before.
We had breakfast included in the price of our room - it’s diabolical. The worst breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. You have your standard eggs station where you could request whatever eggs you want.. great. However the rest of the hot food consisted of rice, curry’s, soups, chicken, and at least two Italian pasta dishes, pasta arrabiata (which by the way should have a tomato sauce), carbonara, lasagne…. You name it, it was there and you wouldn’t eat it for breakfast. These are not breakfast items!!!
There are toilets located in the buffet hall, they need to be checked for cleanliness more often. Majority of times we went in, the people have left them in disgusting conditions. Not pleasant considering where it’s situated near food…
The pool area is tiny, so do not expect a sunbed. There’s only 5, and a few bean bags. You have to get there early, the good thing is the beach is only a 15-20 minute walk away.
One thing I’ll say for the reviews on this hotel, if you look carefully you’ll notice they are all written by “people” who don’t contribute to Trip Advisor and only have posted reviews for this particular hotel. Theres loads of them, it goes on and on. Suspicious if you ask me.

In terms of appearance, cleanliness and quality of the rooms, there is absolutely nothing to complain about. However, if you want to stay three days longer after a three-week stay, there is absolutely no cooperation for a solution. Eventually a new booking was made via the internet with the result that for the three extra days, we have to change rooms (and buildings) three times. If you ask the reception if there is a solution for this, you get a short and negative standard answer. No attempt is made to find a practical solution (after a three-week stay).
Breakfast is only opened from 07:00AM. This is stated everywhere and is also adhered to. No problem at all with this, an agreement is an agreement. However, last week I discovered for myself that a breakfast package can be requested for early departures (activities). I had booked three weeks with breakfast, of which I have not yet consumed half of the breakfast simply because I was never told that the possibility of a breakfast package existed. Can't this just be stated somewhere? It's not that difficult. Conclusion: good hotel, but there are still a few minor improvements possible that really don't require that much effort.

We had got room on another building next to the main one. Very small room, too tiny bathroom, can't even breathe in that bathroom with no ventilation. Room no. 1309. Room AC was not working smoothly. It was making a lot of sound all day and night and dripping water.
Breakfast was free, but it was worthless. There was no much variety and no veg options unlike other hotels provide and the menu was almost same boring every day.
No one to pick and drop luggage from and to room which is a basic gesture shown to the guests.
Overall it was a bad experience.

I stayed at this residence hotel in Jan this year. It is located a bit away from Patong Beach, about a 15-20 minute drive from Bangla Street. While the distance provided a quieter atmosphere, it also meant sacrificing the vibrant beach experience.
The room itself, although a bit dated in terms of furnishings, featured an open kitchen and a living room, which provided some degree of convenience for longer stays. The highlight was undoubtedly the spacious bathroom, offering plenty of room to move around.
However, I did encounter some drawbacks. The proximity to neighboring residences compromised my sense of privacy; I could clearly see what residents were doing quite closely, which was less than ideal. Additionally, there was a persistent strange odour throughout the room that added a bitter taste from the overall comfort of the stay.
While the hotel has its merits, particularly for those seeking a more laid-back environment, the lack of privacy and the odd smell made my experience less enjoyable. If you prioritize space and budgets over proximity to the beach and nightlife, this could be a suitable option, but I would recommend looking for alternatives if privacy and ambiance are important to you.

Perfect hotel in Patong Beach! I've seen quite a few hotels in Patong, but the Patong Bay Residence is something absolutely special! As a couple, we had a room/apartment with a kitchenette and large fridge on the seventh floor. The rooms are furnished in a modern style and all the equipment looks fairly new. This means: The two air conditioners are efficient and quiet! We could also run an AC at night, I slept very well. The fridge is modern and quiet, doesn't disturb at night! The bed is big and very comfortable! Important for us as a couple! The pool is new, in the sun and protected from noise. Great for lazy afternoons.
But the best thing is the staff! The boss Kimberly speaks daily with the guests in the breakfast room and asks how the guests are feeling. The breakfast staff are cheerful and provide a delicious breakfast buffet with coffee, juice, Thai or European breakfast with omelet, fresh fruit and even cheese!!! Special thanks to Daniel! We were there for a month and I would have liked to have extended, unfortunately my vacation was over. No joke: there are guests/ Europeans who have been in the hotel for years! I would love to do that too! I am 57 years old, I still have a few years to work.... Highly Recommended! Greetings from Chris from Germany.

The Pool is currently closed. Hotel offers pool use at sister Hotel, but that is a 1 hour round trip. Disappointing. I just checked the Hotels.com and Agoda websites and they both say swimming pool = Yes atm = naughty. Zero offer of compensation. Otherwise, the Seaview room is fantastic. Breakfast is underwhelming - limited buffet offering and omelette was raw in the middle and staff just didnt understand to cook it for longer. Only juice on offer is Orange and the cheapest supermarket carton stuff. As others have noted - the Seaview room = random Mosque calls to prayer can be heard as early as 5 a.m Based on above I doubt I'll be booking this hotel again.

The staff is definitely friendly and helpful... location is especially convenient for muslim travellers. We provide a free shuttle from Hotel to Jungceylon (BangLa Rd.) with 5 mins walk to the beach and on they way back from the beach to our hotel. And ironing and ironing board can be requested when you arrived as well as the cooking utensils. The simple utensils will be provided without a charges.
