If I had known quite how busy Patong was I would have chosen a different beach like Karon. However Patong Palace has a lot going for it if you don't want to spend too much. Its at the N end of Patong and whilst the main street off the hotel is busy and connects with all the rest of the town its very quiet and green with attractive well tended gardens. I did not use the pool but I appreciated the hotel as a bit of a haven close to but apart from all the chaos. Id recommend one of the bigger rooms on the ground floor. Its a bit old fashioned decor wise but the room is cool, particularly with the fan going too and has a bit of character. Staff are friendly and hard working and rooms are v. clean. Shower pressure a bit iffy. The restaurant attached is pretty good too. Beware there is no room security box, they have one at reception. Patong has a couple of good food markets, particularly Bazaan seafood but really unless you want the chaos, endless massage parlours and taxi touts I'd stay at a nearby beach like Karon or Kamala and get a taxi ride into Patong in the evening if you want a wild night. Bangla Walking street is a living hell, so noisy, devoid of any charm and incredibly seedy.
Patong beach is only 15 minutes walk away. Its a nice beach, clean sea but I much preferred every other beach as they were less crowded and had more charm. North End much better than centre or South. if you want to visit other beaches rather than Patong this hotel works because you are not paying beach hotel prices.

I stayed here for two nights as I wanted to check out the bar/restaurant/nightlife scene in Patong.

The grounds are very nicely maintained and feature a restaurant and swimming pool on the property. There is ample parking for those that self-drive, this one one of the main reasons I stayed here.

The room was large, comfortable and, clean but a bit dated. Typical of an older-style Thai hotel. The air conditioning, hot water, and refrigerator worked well. The linen, bedding, and towels were fine.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

At a walk-in rate of 800 THB per night, I thought it was a good deal for the price and would stay here again for sure.

This place is absolutely amazing. A very tranquil hidden gem in the busy area. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and owners. The accommodations and areas are immaculate. We will defiantly booked this again if we come back to Patong. Thank you.

Very good hotel very location and very friendly helpful staff. We went in the rainy season that hotel with its tropical garden in it nice clean swimming pool gives you very good option to stay there when it rains . Breakfast is good too . Hotel restaurant too can afford any food or beverages with very good prices anytime you want . The hotel location is near everything shops super markets beach exchange money and bangala rood . All you can go by walking maximum bangala road 15 minutes. Rooms are very clean. Beds are very comfortable and big. You will have the feeling that you are at your home. Great thanks to all all the staff. I highly recommend that hotel if stay at patong beach. Definitely will go there again

Another trip to the Patong Palace, always a pleasure to arrive and be greeted with such friendliness. The new 7 story building with lift has been finished now, a new building going up on the right hand side of the Palace but noise was minimal whilst we were there for the 8 days.Look forward to my next visit to the Palace.

As previously stated I was lucky enough to arrive end of July for 2 weeks..The Patong Palace staff are excellent..They all work so hard to ensure your stay is a good one. The gardener always busy making the gardens a wonderland. Unfortunately this trip I was sick for 2/3 of it, but that didn't stop the staff actually going out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. The restaurant staff also went out of their way to be very helpful.. Thankyou all once again and see you all next year.

This hotel was a great find! Just 5-8 mins walk from the beach, with peaceful surroundings. The rooms were really good- spacious and comfortable. We also loved the balcony which was bigger than average. There was a lot of greenery too, in the hotel walkway and around the pool. But the best thing about the hotel was the restaurant. The breakfast was average and had limited choices but the a la cart menu for lunch/dinner was very good. Each and every food item we ordered tasted amazing. We probably had some of the best Thai food at this hotel! They also have an open kitchen right at the entrance, which is hard to miss. The hotel staff were helpful and we had a very nice stay here. Would definitely go back if I visit Phuket again.

A trip back to Patong Palace with my 2 daughters and grandson. Once again the staff went beyond the call of duty to ensure our stay was wonderful. My daughters had a poolside room each and enjoyed the space and king bed. This time round we all enjoyed the buffet breakfast as it was still peak season (end of April)). All very yum..The new restaurant has been completed now and it was very busy every night and the service and food just spot on. The Patong Palace is a smallish hotel so therefore you get quite friendly with the staff..I am lucky enough to be returning end of July and I am looking forward to it.

The hotel is clean and has a wonderful lush garden so it´s quite a contrast to the busy Patong streets. Rooms are spacious and clean and no bugs could be seen despite of all the vegetation. Balconies are not safe when travelling with kids, and you were practically sitting in your neighbours balcony so no privacy at all. Pool is very clean and never hard to get a sunbed. Breakfast was decent with the usual, eggs, bacon, rice, noodles, fruits etc We were travelling with two small kids and felt safe ( except for the balcony) and got excellent service from all the staff working there, very happy with them! We even overslept after new year and missed breakfast but they allowed us to have it anyway, also we got an early check in without any problems. So staff was really wonderful ! I would recommend this hotel to any kind of travellers,( maybe not the best with kids but then I would not recommend Patong either as I find the streets very dirty, smelly and the traffic itself was a hazard.)

Patong Palace hotel is a smaller hotel. Quite area with big rooms. Not so up dated rooms but clean and it works well for this price . The TV, s are this year updated in many of the rooms to smart TV's. The breakfast is not to big or not to small. It's perfect for me. I have been here so far 4 times and still satisfied. This trip I staid for 9 nights. It's ca 7 min for a walk to the beach and ca 15 min to the noisy Banglaroad and as well to the big shopping mall Jungceyloncan. I recommend this hotel if you want a quite place with wonderful staff some are working here nice park and pool area.
