We travelled as a family of four with two kids under six and really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were lovely. There was no hassle, they were very willing to talk through options and arranged everything efficiently once we'd decided in our own time. The menu was varied enough to suit the whole family, from grilled ham and cheese to...

As a family of four with two kids under 5 this mountain resort was a bit too basic. But as adult travellers on a tight budget it is great value in a beautiful location. The double bedroom hut we had was simple and clean, unfortunately no shelves to store clothes, only a few hangers. The bathroom was standard asian, a...

We loved our stay here and the owner Son is fabulous. Due to a wifi problem whilst we were there we had to shorten our stay as I needed to do job interviews by Skype. He let us choose how long we stayed for and didn't charge us - most properties in Thailand were not that generous! The place itself...

We stayed at Phanom Bencha for 4 nights last week, the rooms are standard, but neat and tidy, with clean towels and clean bedding, no complaints at all! Plus, this resort is Really not about the rooms! Arriving at the hotel you get a real sense of 'off the beaten track', no tourists and perfect unspoilt scenery and gardens. The...

So glad we booked two nights here. Four of us (two couples) stayed in a double villa and loved it. The food is great, the surroundings were perfect and the people topped it all off. It's great to spend time with such great hosts and pleasant company. You cannot miss a chance to stay here!

Best type of people here period. The owners run this place with great spirit and heart. You can schedule a day trip to the islands the day before and get picked up the morning after. You can get fed well and have some Thai language lessons with Mama. You'll be surrounded by nature all around you. Sounds, smells, sights. Come...

We read reviews that said great food, great family, great location etc & they we completely agreed. Mr Som & his family couldn't do enough for us, Momma cooked great food for all of us & it had...

We absolutely loved our stay at the Phanom Bencha Mountain Resort. The setting is gorgeous and Mr Som, his family and the team are amazing hosts. We really liked our bungalow and the natural swimming pool is perfect for a quick refreshment or a lazy day. The food and music in the restaurant were great. We were looked after all...

A quiet escape from the city bustle, this family-run resort is a piece of mountain paradise! Nestled in the woods where we were blessed by the sounds of birds chirping by day and guitar serenade by night. Tasty food in the family restaurant offered a variety of fresh thai and western food; each meal carefully prepared with attention to detail...

“If you don't want to climb too much, choose a bungalow closer to restaurant and reception. But if you need quiet and privacy - choose a bungalow closer to the swimming pool (which is up, in the hill).”
