We stayed at Chanchalay for 4 nights at the beginning of January. We have a private A/C room with an attached bathroom. The room was fresh, clean and spacious enough for all our belongings. The rooms are well priced for what you get and it had awesome outdoor shower with great pressure and hot water on demand. It's not a...

Having read a few of the most recent reviews of Chan Cha Lay I cannot understand why people are complaining. My boyfriend and I have travelled around Asia 3 times and this is by far the best place we have come across. We paid 550 for A/C with shared bathroom on our first stay. The room was so cute and...

This place is okay, although suffering a bit from "too popular for their own good" syndrome (being listed in guidebooks, etc.). It's rather expensive for mainland Thailand, but that seems to be the going rate for Krabi (all the places I came across when doing research for this trip were expensive for mainland Thailand). The rooms are attractive enough, the...

Cute hostel. Stayed in a "fan" room with bathroom. Very clean, proper sheets and towels. Good price/quality. Close by to market area of Krabi Town. 4th floor by stairs was a bit much having done Tiger Cave Temple the day before.

Everything went fine, the staff are great and the room super clean. I like the proximity of the day and night market. There's a 7 eleven and supermarket close. The fare was ok but it could be nice to have breakfest included for it, which was not super tasty but do the job. I will return for sure!

Chan Cha Lay Guest House in Krabi Town is minutes walk from the river with its many sculptures, the shopping mall, bars and umpteen places to eat. The room I had was with ensuite bathroom and AC. It was clean, neat, simply decorated in mediterranean blues and white and has a comfortable queen sized bed. The open air shower doesn’t...

4 friends, stayed for just 1 night in the family room with double bunkbeds, The room was spotless and for what we had paid I was very happy! Air Con was great and a decent shower. The rooms very bordering shabby chic. We loved it! We had a nice walk down and ate from the street food stalls down the...

I recently had a short stay at this hotel, staying in one of the fan rooms with en-suite bathroom. There are aircon rooms with en-suite, and rooms with shared bathrooms also available here. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is very good, surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops. The night market and weekend market are very...

The decor of the place was so cute! Rooms were extremely basic and we thought they were overpriced! Our room was at the front of the building so it was extremely noisy and we didn't sleep very well. We were on the other end of the bathroom so it wasn't the best having to walk to the other side of...

Clean, comfy, well organised and above all nice and quite. Great staff with good english, breakfast available and close to the lake, cafes and night markets. Most everything you need in walking distance. Moped rental across the street for 200 baht per a day, and laundry available next door for 40 baht per a kilo. I rented the room for...
