We stayed in a raft room, which was pleasant. The bedroom was spacious, clean and neat. The air-conditioning worked well. We were expecting many mosquitoes but there was just one in the room which we easily eliminated. The bathroom area is acceptable but could do with some TLC.

There was music coming from somewhere until late at night but, with the air-conditioner on, it did not really bother us.

Unlike most hotels in Thailand, the beds had soft, comfortable mattresses.

Some parts of the pontoon have suffered from the effects of rust and are in need of attention.

Dinner was reasonable, although the chicken in one of the dishes was undercooked, and thus left untouched. Breakfast was basic. Bees had taken over the jam, and small flies had taken over the pineapple slices, so we did not touch those. At dinner and breakfast there were few
vegetarian options.

The Hotel Reception was good. The staff were friendly and spoke fluent English. The restaurant staff were also friendly.

The hotel is situated on a large property with lots of greenery. It looks very nice.

Taxi charges to/from the River Kwai Bridge range from Baht 150 to Baht 200, depending on your haggling ability.

We would stay there again.

This is such a cute hotel, clean and spacious rooms, nice hot showers, lovely pool! It's about 15-20 minutes taxi away from the main town, but you can get it cheap if you do want to go in.
The only downside is the staff. They were either not there, uncommunicative, or just plain useless. One meal time we waited an hour for our food and when we asked where it was, the lady hasn't even taken the order to the kitchen. We got our money back, told her to forget the food and got no apology.
Lovely place to stay, just don't expect service of any sort!

The location of this hotel is truly lovely, an exquisite large cage of beautiful birds, breakfast is served overlooking the River Kwai. The rooms were clean and one of the two desk attendants spoke good English. The waitresses simply did there job perfunctually, no service attitude. No shower in the morning, however after breakfast, the water was back on. Better lighting in the rooms than many other hotels. Breakfast tasted fine. Especially the local type of breakfast.

This resort has lots of potential. It is really run down to the ground. The maintenance upkeep is non existing whereby the location is very tropical with a large river-side location. The land is huge and the way the resort is laid out is not so good. We stayed in the main building which has two floor and is the furthest from the river. The rooms are REALLY run down and actually not worth being labeled a hotel room. The beds are shot and the linden/towels are grey and spotty! The bathroom is nasty and smelly and so is the rusted mini bar fridge which has only two bottles of water inside. The TV as well as the programs are below any decent standard and the room is. It very clean at all. There are not "black-out-curtains and the bright lights from the hallway shine into the room...so do not expect to get a good night sleep. The pillows are from a other age and hard like a "brick"! The breakfast is not good and for food and coffee...could not eat anything nor drink the coffee. The rooms are expensive for what they are at 1000.-/night. The pool is also old and not well maintained and the water quality and appearance is questionable...we did not use it. Service is as expected but overall friendly!

Spent two nights here with a family of five. Booked raft houses, arrived to smelly, dusty and broken down rooms for 1000 baht a night. Managed to get moved to Hotel rooms, better but still run down and not very appealing for the price. Probably worth about 500 baht a room. Rest of the hotel was also pretty run down, restaurant didn't have much, breakfast was unappealing. Pool was okay but needed a clean. Location on the river was beautiful and peaceful especially at sunset, not easy to get in and out of town (Tuk tuks for about $5/6 each way. Virtually no other westeners staying, bit of a ghost town really except for a few functions for Thai locals.

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of my Starfish Thailand trip. It's right on the banks of the River Kwai, which you'd expect. The rooms are average. The hotel lobby and some rooms were occupied by thousands of moths one night, just after a storm. Obviously the lights attracted them. Personally, I enjoyed killing hundreds of moths before bed but I know most people wouldn't. The pool is fantastic. You can see the river from the pool which is good. The staff didn't speak much, if any English though which is a downside.

We're not sure whether it was because of the off season or the remoteness of the hotel, but we were the only people in the entire resort which is a huge resort. We were told 40 tourist from Holland were coming later on the night we checked in. No one checked in the two days we were there. Our floating room was very adequate and oh so peaceful sitting on the porch just watching the River Kwai float by. I suspect that since we were the only people there the restaurant was not up to par. However, the food was good. The complimentary breakfast on the first morning was a buffet of sorts but there was plenty for us. The next morning, no buffet, but we were brought plenty to eat. On the first afternoon we were there we wanted to go The Tiger Temple. It was a bit expensive to travel there in the back of a pickup truck; let the adventure begin. We still needed to pay for the ticket to the Temple....don't miss it. For the next days adventure I called Good Times tour and booked a trip for an elephant trek, bamboo rafting and a tour at Hellfire Pass and museum...don't miss it. Good Times came out and picked us up. Had I known they would have done that for the Tiger Temple as well.
The hotel is full of possibilities, but it was bit odd to be the only people staying there. They have a great pool and pool area. But unfortunately there is very little else to do.

Our stay was very pleasant at the hotel. We were due to stay there for one night but decided to stay for a further night because it was so peaceful. Both evenings were spent happily having a few drinks outside our rooms on the river itself. We went into the town on both evenings and were very happy with the prompt and pleasant taxi-service provided.Breakfast was adequate and but for a lick of paint the stay would have been perfect.
